Question Can the S22 Ultra (S908E) be rooted? - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

I'm about to get a S22 ultra and i read some SD models can be rooted. I'm from Brazil and we always had Exynos here, but it seems that now all S22 are snapdragons. I'm not sure, though.
Anyway, is it true that only US SD can't be rooted? Any brazilian here to confirm that?

We also always has Exynos in India here but that time we got SD and yes it can be rooted, there is already thread on xda for custom rom along with rooting method.

Can't I just unlock BL, flash TWRP and root by flashing magisk? That's what I did with all my Samsung phones before.
So, is there a TWRP version for my model?

Is any S908E owner rooted and with TWRP indtalled without custom room?

Plenty around - including myself. (Only the US/ Canada snapdragon versions have issues with rooting easily)
SM-S908E is root-able - Check, for e.g., Dr Ketan's guide here.
Currently no official TWRP yet but there is unofficial (snapdragon) version here (which works just fine including for installation of custom ROMs or TWRP-able .zip files if you want to flash these).

[Q] Root SM-N900L

Hi everybody
I have a Korean Note 3 Model SM-N900L (Carrier U+).
Is there available CF-Auto-Root for this specific carrier? My current Android release is 4.4.2 CSC N900LLGTENAA.
Furthermore my HS's Modem is set on the Korean frequencies and not on the Italian Vodafone so LTE does'nt work. . Is this problem fixable somehow?
Any help or suggestion is welcome.

I want to say it could work on your board, CF-auto root was released for Samsung devices Galaxy s2 and up while everything below with gingerbread you would have to use a one click app to root it such as z4root or GingerBreak.
I understood CF auto root was released for many Note 3 model.
For instance is available for SM-N9005 , 900S, 900 etc.
I cannot find the file for my 900L. The other two rooting methods you mention (z4root or gingerbreak) are quite unknown to me.
Do they work ?
Thank you

I believe CF-Auto-Root also works for the N900L if you download the 900S (SKT version) because the 3 carriers use the same method.
And yes, somebody did confirm that LG works if you use the SK file.
But you could listen to jisoo's advise (which I would recommend):
Quote by jisoo:
CF-Auto-Root temporarily replaces your stock recovery to install SuperSU. It then tries to restore the original recovery, but obviously this will cause problems if your device is not well supported.
If you are going to install CWM anyway, I would suggest you just flash the SuperSU package after you have flashed CWM with Odin. The advantage is that you can take a full nandroid backup before rooting, in case something goes wrong.
For CWM, you can use the SKT version from here:. This has been reported as working on the LGU+ model, and I can personally attest to it working on my KT Note 3.
Thank you
Can you let me have a brief step by step procedure?
The step about how to install superSU package after CWM is not very clear to me. I believe CF autoroot authomatically install super su ...or not.
also which is the meaning of " your device is not very well supported"?
XDA ....always one step beyond
Thank you!!

Hi, that means that I don't really recommend CF-Auto-Root because it just keepa recovery. So what I would recommend is to flash CWM at Odin (make sure you've downloaded SuperSU. Zip to your downloads on your phone before) and then go to recovery - install zip - choose SuperSU.
Sent from my SM-N900L using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I just want to confirm that the cf auto root for the SM-N900S korean file has worked on my SM-N900L korean phone!
I then flashed CWM using odin.
Hopefully others in the future will root the 900L with confidence!
Thanks!!!

THANK in Advance.
I'm not an expert on this area, but you can download the latest FD rom here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930FD/
It's always a good idea to make sure you have the stock ROM for your device before making mods.

Not sure what's the reason behind it. No ROM's were available for the FD version until this lot. I guess it might take a short while for all ROM's to be loaded up.
You could try to use a g930f instead a g930fd from sammobile, they say that are just the same un many threads
Install the Latest BTU for G930F. I have installed it, works perfectly for G930FD. Full dual sim functionality available in single sim rom.

Hi mate
When you say normal rom , what you mean custom rom or stck firmware
Unfortunately on Snapdragon version ( US carriers) you can not flash a custom rom , no root and lock bootloader, you can only flash stock firmware ( for snapdragon).
Anyhow check in the right forum , this is for the international S8+ version ( Exynos)
check here

Flash J327U ROM on carrier-locked phone

Hi, I was wondering whether or not I could flash the J3 Emerge (J327U - Unlocked ROM which has Oreo) on J327P (Sprint/Boost variant). From what I know, the U version is the unlocked version so I'd expect the J327P to be able to handle it. Thanks

You could try it, some different sites say it has Exynos 7570 in which case it likely won't work. Also be careful because the Boost Mobile variant has SD425 but sprint has SD430, but both are still J327P.

That's something I thought about, in any case, I'm attempting to port LinageOS 15.1 to the J327P. I'm now trying to build a device tree.

Can I flash ROM of different carrier Korean version?

Hello so I have my a90 with lgu ROM and I wonder whether I can flash like skt firmware without tripping Knox or maybe even global firmware since the jw should be same not like S series this have sd855. Cause lgu is somehow buggy.
Thanks for answers in advance

Your model number need to match the rom...and if there is international version then yes you can...it will not trip Knox if official downloaded from sammobile...
