Hi everybody
I have a Korean Note 3 Model SM-N900L (Carrier U+).
Is there available CF-Auto-Root for this specific carrier? My current Android release is 4.4.2 CSC N900LLGTENAA.
Furthermore my HS's Modem is set on the Korean frequencies and not on the Italian Vodafone so LTE does'nt work. . Is this problem fixable somehow?
Any help or suggestion is welcome.

I want to say it could work on your board, CF-auto root was released for Samsung devices Galaxy s2 and up while everything below with gingerbread you would have to use a one click app to root it such as z4root or GingerBreak.
I understood CF auto root was released for many Note 3 model.
For instance is available for SM-N9005 , 900S, 900 etc.
I cannot find the file for my 900L. The other two rooting methods you mention (z4root or gingerbreak) are quite unknown to me.
Do they work ?
Thank you

I believe CF-Auto-Root also works for the N900L if you download the 900S (SKT version) because the 3 carriers use the same method.
And yes, somebody did confirm that LG works if you use the SK file.
But you could listen to jisoo's advise (which I would recommend):
Quote by jisoo:
CF-Auto-Root temporarily replaces your stock recovery to install SuperSU. It then tries to restore the original recovery, but obviously this will cause problems if your device is not well supported.
If you are going to install CWM anyway, I would suggest you just flash the SuperSU package after you have flashed CWM with Odin. The advantage is that you can take a full nandroid backup before rooting, in case something goes wrong.
For CWM, you can use the SKT version from here:. This has been reported as working on the LGU+ model, and I can personally attest to it working on my KT Note 3.
Thank you
Can you let me have a brief step by step procedure?
The step about how to install superSU package after CWM is not very clear to me. I believe CF autoroot authomatically install super su ...or not.
also which is the meaning of " your device is not very well supported"?
XDA ....always one step beyond
Thank you!!

Hi, that means that I don't really recommend CF-Auto-Root because it just keepa recovery. So what I would recommend is to flash CWM at Odin (make sure you've downloaded SuperSU. Zip to your downloads on your phone before) and then go to recovery - install zip - choose SuperSU.
Sent from my SM-N900L using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I just want to confirm that the cf auto root for the SM-N900S korean file has worked on my SM-N900L korean phone!
I then flashed CWM using odin.
Hopefully others in the future will root the 900L with confidence!
Thanks!!!

I don't understand why this thread is in the AT&T forum, but anyway as to your question, go to either http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ (you have to register to download) and enter SGH-M919 in the search box or go to http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SGH-M919 and download the firmware for your phone. This is version M919UVUAMDL which should be the pre-ota version. Flash with Odin.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Not the same number as what? I understood @ferlogan wanted to downgrade to original firmware so he can use the motochopper root method.
The firmware I linked is taken right off of the Samsung Kies servers, and since the phones are so new, it will be the original firmware that is on the phone when the phone comes out of the box. I don't have your phone, or carrier, as I'm still on SGH-I777 and AT&T. But you should be able to verify in the T-Mo forum that the version number is the same as the original firmware. The version number for the ota update will be slightly different.
I think he mean to say that the number you put is for SGH M919 (T-mobile version) and we are on canadian Videotron or wind which is SGH-M919V and doing *#1234# give a different version M919VV....
I am also in same boat I want to know which firmware to downlaod to downgrade in order to Root my videotron canadian version, I don't want to brick my phone.

Its volume down + power + home. Then plug it into the pc and run Odin. If it shows up on one of the COMs then you're good to go.

yeah i was able to bring it back to original state with the official rom and it even show offical rom in the odin menu now. the only problem i got now is, when i connect kit to wireless network, my speedtest is around .3Mbps and .34 for the upload.
The rom i used is the one available in sammobile and it not exactly the same number as before. Even with Skies it upgraded to this version and it so slow on my network now.

how did you brick it?
I too have a SGH-M919V, mine is with Wind Mobile and I just recently got it.
I am assuming there are no stable or compatible roms with this model yet? I want to try rooting it how you did it and then I suppose wait for a stable rom. I'm anxious that our model isn't on sammobile.. yet.
Just curious, is yours also with Wind Mobile? my AP, CP, and CSC came up with the same numbers.
I wish there was more information and light on this particular model, thank you for having this thread.

I haven't found an official thread yet about this device. Figured, I should get one going. The Korean variant is always different (at least in my past experiences with my SGSI, II, III, and Galaxy Tab. None of the rooting/mods work with the Korean versions.
I just got my phone yesterday, so hopefully we can get some resources and information flowing.
Hopefully some other peoples have this phone as well and we can work this out together!
Stayed tuned, hopefully I can get this thing going!

Chainfire is always on top of these phones and always gets some of the Korean stuff done as well.
Here is a link for his CF-Auto Root. Be careful though and read the thread. It could have problems with KNOX as well, and at the very least, void your warranty.
Always, READ READ READ!

Finally a thread for Korean variants! I've got myself a N900L (LGU+ Model).
As for the rooting, URDLV, kingoapp, vroot method seemed to work. At least mine was successfully rooted without tripping the KNOX flag.
MOP 3.85 currently doesn't support Korean variants, so no luck with flashing latest firmware with MOP.
Still hope MOP would support these models someday.

ROOTing Method
1. RDLV: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2487916
[Moderators under investigation]
2. vRoot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502967
3. Kingoapp: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499546
vRoot and Kingoapp is currently under investigation, so you should find the tool by yourself.
If you firmware above MJ6, you might have a new bootloader and trip KNOX warranty flag using either of the two tools.
(saw one guy claiming that he tripped KNOX flag with MJ8 firm via vRoot)
MOP is just short for Mobile ODIN Pro. Since MOP doesn't mess up with bootloader, it is considered only way to upgrade above MJ5 while keeping ROOT and KNOX.

RDLV seems to work on MJ1 as people (like me with the MJ5) who tried past the MJ3 update tripped the knox flag 0x1. afterwards, i haven't checked that forum or the kingoapp forum, so it could have changed since then.

It is a Samsung "official" ROM and ONLY choice of you want to stay stock. Flashing other model official firmware will fail.
If you root and install CWM recovery, you are able to flash a couple of slightly modified "custom" ROMs for Exynos. For example, my SkyHigh ROM has optional bloat removal during installation.
If you want to proceed this way, all can be found by searching and reading the forums.
True but i am going to use this fone that is the reason.. i am planning to switch to official rom without operation modifications.. just plan sammy rom with all sammy features. Thats it
Can this be done? There must be a offical rom without operator mess
Please read my post again....... I'm not going to repeat 3x
This is the only official Samsung ROM. The device is built for specific provider and will have bloat ware included.
If you don't root or flash custom ROM, then better get used to it.

I am using career rom like olleh. I replaced olleh boot animation and removed some bloatwear from my device. You can do this only after root.

I have been wondering the same thing. Have you gotten any further with this?
I'm in South America and would like to flash an INT ROM hoping to get LTE working here. LTE Band where I am right now is 1900 mhz. Would flashing an INT ROM "unlock" the phone for that? Are there other "consequences" that one should be aware of when flashing an official International ROM? Any comment on this is appreciated :good:

no i haven't found any information on it sadly :/
Im searching information about too. I tried install some 925F roms then flash 925p kernels but no luck. GPS not working, data/voice not working, even no mobile operator setting in setup.
You would need more than just download and flash!!! You need to port libs, xmls, framework, apps etc to make it compatible with Sprint
Anyway of getting a sprint compatability zip?

You would need more than just download and flash!!! You need to port libs, xmls, framework, apps etc to make it compatible with Sprint

Thanks for the info. In my case I don't need to make it compatible with Sprint since I'm in South America. Any suggestions on how to flash an official International G925 Rom?
I think that will happens only when somebody write unified kernel for F/I/*/*/*/and P version of this phone. I researched this and found that noone from kernel makers want not do this. In nearby thread one programmer offer to try modified bootloader for 925p (to be able rollback to 5.0.2). He can't even find testers(. No one want brick their phones.

Not true..... People have been testing bootloaders. Still more work done to be done to it. There have been about 5 testers

S6 G920F roms on S6 G920P?
Dear users
I would like to have S6 International roms on my S6 Sprint but I can't,
is there a compatibility for sprint file to fix the other touch screen and other processor (exynos and snapdragon)?
Please, can anyone reply if you know it?
PS: Sorry for my English, it's not good.
Hi guys,
Am I mistaken or is this the last samsung note pro in the known universe to receive an update to lollipop? I understand it's been a long wait for all note pro users. Does anyone here have an idea when this particular model SM-P905 (baseband no: P905XXUANA7 build no: P905XXUANC3) will receive an update?
Chris

Unless I've missed something, the firmware for my specific model isn't available from sammobile, so I can't use odin to update.

I guess you don't have to flash a specific firmware since you have the international 905 model !!
Mine was from italy and i flashed UAE firmware without problems !!

Oh. I feel so newb (And I'm a tech guy...awkward....lol). Mine is running stock kitkat (4.4.2). I rooted it a while back, but so far, have not flashed it with any rom. Correct me if I'm wrong - international version means that all the LTE/radio bands are unlocked? I can't flash it with Deodex.Root.Xposed, as I'm not running stock lollipop. Which rom did u flash yours with?
Chris
You should be able to use Odin to flash any of the released 905 version lollipop updates from sammonbile. You will lose your root however.

Thanks for the link, however, I live in Australia, so according to sammobile, there's no lollipop firmware for this country:

Since your going to flash it yourself just choose any region (pick one thats on 5.1.1) and flash that. Then just change the language and time zone settings during set up and you should be good to go. Many US customers with the 905 used this method when other countries were getting the original 5.0.1 update before them. Worked fine.

Thanks for the info. Cool. I'll keep an eye out for 5.1.1. If I'm not mistaken, most are 5.0.2 at the moment, except AT&T.
