This a screenshot of the youtube app running on Android 12 on my Sony Xperia 1ii mobile.
As you can see, there is a bluish tint to the video - which should be pure white (this video is just an example - it happens on all videos).
The cast is not applied to the whole screen - just the playback box for the video itself.
If I watch the same video on my mac, on the youtube app on an adroid tablet, or on my mobile but within a browser, this does not appear.
Does anyone know why this is happening or how to solve it?
(Something which may or may not be connected: I noticed the other day that a very similar blue cast got applied to a video I uploaded directly to Twitter from my phone. But that cast applies whatever device I watch it back on.)

I've just finished my new Android Wear IP Camera Viewer app - find it here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...barkside.ipcam
With it you can view snapshots of your favourite public cameras, or your personal (security/baby-monitor/bird-cam) cameras, right on your Wear Watch. Other features include the ability to tap on a snapshot, and then pinch/double-tap to zoom. Also refresh a particular camera image from your watch. It works for MJPEG streams and JPEG snapshots.
It is early days, so please let me know any issues.
Also, if I type "Android wear IP Cam viewer" in Google Play, loads of non Android Wear IP cam apps come up - regular peeps aren't going to easily find my app! Any ideas?

With the new Nvidia Shield Android TV console comes a new Amazon Prime Video app for it, and it mostly works on the Nexus Player, except when it gets to the last hurdle: actually watching videos.
You can install it, log in, it'll identify which country you are in (something the Sony Amazon Prime Video app didn't do, you were forced to be in America), and shows all the content. When you try and watch any content, thoug,h an error message comes up.
Here's the APK:

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to stream the video?
The bad thing is, you can play trailer... So there is some codec hassle I think
So it mostly doesn't work.

I have discovered a problem with the K1 regarding color decoding (?) when playing video through the YouTube app. Please see the screenshot below. At left is the AVS Calibration color steps MP4 file being played on the tablet. At right is the same thing being played on the tablet on YouTube. You will notice at right that there is a problem with greens and cyans. When pausing the YouTube video, the greens and cyans become normal while the pause overlay is on the video, then return to being messed up when the video starts playing again. The YouTube version does not have this problem on my PS3 or Xbox One X. I am not rooted and am running stock SHIELD 5.4, Android 7. The problem happens on Native and sRGB profiles.

Hi there,
We are finding it increasingly challenging to entertain my 2-year-old while we are stuck at home during COVID. We thought it would be good to have regular check-ins through video calls with our family and some remote babysitting on a larger screen (our TV) as our phones are required for work calls.
We have a 2013 LG TV and Skype is no longer supported on that model. It's a 60LA8600 1080P 240Hz LED TV

We have a Roku and Chromecast but can't activate the camera functionality. What are the ways to get video calls working? Would an upgrade to WebOS work?
Thank you all. Stay safe.
you could simply cast your smartphone screen, e.g. using a mirror app or a plain camera app. May be there are also apps that can cast their camera image directly
