5.1.1 root for n915g work but....

Seem like micky insecure kernel does make the root work great. But just wondering is there anyone also find the wifi wont auto connect anymore? I have to manually add them...
If you mean that the passwords are not saved the fix is in the kernel thread.
In build.prop change ro.securestorage from true to false.
Thank you ..it works. One more thing does anyone know how to disable that security notification after rooting other than disabling the whole smart manager? I try the notification setting unfortunately the smart manage do not have the block option.
Update: i think i found a soltion to this annoying security notification. Use titanium back up or root uninstaller to freeze security log agent.

APN settings on boost j700
Hello
Did this one get lost in web loop has anyone been able to enable APN settings in j700's
Thx wojo1971
@wojo1971 @iram you have to manually root the samsung J7(J700P) from boost, you can use TWRP for Sprint Model, https://dl.twrp.me/j7ltespr/twrp-3.1.1-0-j7ltespr.img.tar.html in odin go to options deselect Auto Reboot.
before flashing with odin add the Supersu 2.79 SR3 zip in storage, go to settings enable developer options and enable OEM Unlock. Flash TWRP, install the supersu zip. after reboot install Shortcut master lite and supersu access will prompt
grant su access to app and go to search and input apn. in the search will show a few options, you have to click the one named Settings com.android.settings.ApnEditor, save it as favorite and press launch. there the apn editor will show and you can manually add and enable your own apn, or if the phone is unlocked put the apn of the company. cheers and hit the thanks button!

if you follow instructions it works, i uploaded pictures. in order to unlock the phone for another company either you need to have an unlock box or take it to a shop that knows how to unlock correctly. the day i quoted you i was finishing unlocking one myself and i can tell you it works perfect. been repairing phones for 8 years now...
Easy way to get msl code.....
I think theres a way to use the terminal to access the apns. I found access to service programming code menu SPC. Scroll to the bottom of the pop up service menu..... maybe it is possible to access the apns such as:
su
am start com.sec.apn/.Service_Apn
Because my guide.....
su
am start com.sec.hiddenmenu/.Program_Edit
Will get you access to the service programming menu (SPC OR MSL CODE)
Thats just a example of what im thinking.....
If you check my guide here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/how-to/msl-t3628774
It gets access to the spc code also known as msl code. Just a thought.......

Hello
rooted.
installed shortcut master lite
No ROOT PROMPT as I set super su to PERMIT all requests
found teh string and added to favorite
but when I click on it. it does Nothing
SO
here is how I solved the APN problem
This procedure WILL ERASE ALL INFO on PHONE.
This procedure WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE
This procedure WILL ACTIVATE FRP LOCK if you dont follow the instructions
This procedure WILL RELOCK the PHONE and needs to be UNLOCKED with SERVICE BOX if you dont know how to unlock the phone DONT DO IT
You have been WARNED ENOUGH, DONT BLAME ME LATER
First thing, to prevent FRP Lock, go to Developer Options and ENABLE OEM Unlock (dont ask me how, you should know how or ask google)
Root the phone using TWRP (twrp.me) and supersu zip
Install from playstore or from the attachment cscselect apk
run cscselect and tick the usin root method, then change the CSC option to XAS it should be in BST or SPR
Phone will reboot and factory reset. Root is lost, so, root phone again.
Unlock phone using service box like Z3X, Octoplus, chimera, etc.
Now you can freely change the APN as you do on any phone.
if this work, use only Thanks button,
YURAIS
I can do it, just delete the other.xml file found in /system/csc/other.xml and after you delete it, restart the phone and then find an app that makes a shortcut to the apn and program the apn, because you erase the old apns.
I figured it out no need to root.
Download shortcut master
Then on app search to find
SETTINGS
com.android.settings.settings$ApnSettingsActivity
Then click on launch
This will launch APN settings menu

j7popltespr:/ # am start com.sec.apn/Service_apn
Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cat=[android.intent.category.LAUNCHER] cmp=com.sec.apn/Service_apn launchParam=MultiScreenLaunchParams { mDisplayId=0 mFlags=0 } }Error type 3

As you can see, it didn't work.
Any suggestions?
Any advice on how to do it on a boost Mobile Stylo 2 phone?

Google Auth after resigning

Hello Everyone,
I have a question that might sound stupid , but here it is ,I have been porting some apps to my xiaomi phone(k20 pro) from other phones normally, until I got to an app that uses GoogleAuthUtil, (To signin to google accounts) , which fails after resigning the app.
I ask here if there is someone who has a way to bypass this problem.
Replaced all the apk signature calls on the app to no avail, its seems GMS checks for the signature on its own (upon asking permission to get the accounts and throws an exception about unknown keys or certificate).
How does GMS know if this signature is allowed to access the accounts on the device ? and how to whitelist my signature for example....idk
P.S. I can do it easily bypass it via a magisk module, I want to know if there is a way to do it directly on the apk so it won't need root or a magisk module to work.
For those interested ,I successfully bypassed the google "getAccounts" part , but it seems that nothing can be done once the application tries to connect to the firebase server , it needs the original signature to do so ,=> the xposed module is a must , either that or disable the Android-wide signature verification check and install unsigned apk (which I do not recommend nor use) , so xposed it is.

To remove only the password will require either rooting the device or installing TWRP custom recovery or possibly both.
Do a Google search for:
"TWRP for (your specific model number)"
And
"How to root (your specific model number)"
If known methods exist for your model number, those searches should find guides to root and/or install TWRP custom recovery.
Then you need to do some searches to identify the name of the file and the location of the file where the device stores the password then use a file manager with root permissions to navigate to the file's location and delete the file or boot into TWRP recovery and use the built-in file manager inside TWRP to navigate to the file's location and delete the file.
Or you can factory reset the device. If the forgotten password is the password to the device's Google account, factory resetting the device will trigger FRP lock which rewuire entering the information for the Google account that was on the device. If you trigger FRP lock, you will have to search for a method to bypass FRP lock on your specific device model number.
