no tws+ since android 12 update - Sony Xperia 5 II Questions & Answers

Since the update to android 12, the headphones compatible with aptx tws+ only work in aptx mode... has sony stopped giving support, is it android 12 or just a specific omission of the updates they have released so far?

Bluetooth stack/codecs port from Oreo to Nougat?

There are new bluetooth codecs and codecs selection in Android Oreo. For example if you use Apple AirPods with Oreo, then AAC codec will be used and displayed.
Is there any project/hack that ported same features back from Oreo to Nougat?
I would like to stay on Nougat since my phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 3) has huge battery drain on Oreo but same time would like to use best possible bluetooth connection with wireless headphones.
Thanks in advance!

Zenfone 7 Pro no DTS audio settings after A11 update

Hello all,
I recently updated to android 11 via OTA update, i have noticed that my sound quality had dropped and when i went to look for the audio settings there were no audio settings anymore for equalizer or DTS audio. Has asus removed DTS support on the android 11 update?
I didn't even have dts support on Android 10 for zenfone 7 pro. Didn't see it available.
The WW version at least was advertised with DTS: Headphones X support and there used to be a setting you could change when headset or bluetooth device was connected, even though it was really simple(literally just "standard, Movie, Game and Custom eq"
This setting does no longer seem to be present.

Android 12, Android Auto, & V4A

Currently on Android 11 with Android Auto v 7.0.614134 and V4A v 2.7.1.6. When connected via bluetooth music is processed via V4A and sounds fantastic. When connected with Android Auto via USB, music does not get processed via V4A even though there is a USB setting in V4A. Music also does not get processed via the Speaker tab, which it defaults to when plugged in with Android Auto. I have researched this extensively and found it's a limitation for whatever reason. Also odd that I can't find any recent topics on it. The newest discussions are from 2019 to mid 2020.
I have tried disabling USB audio routing in Developer Settings to no avail. My solution is to use the EQ settings on Rocket Player to compensate, and it helps...but it's not the same as V4A.
However, I read somewhere that Android 12 "fixed" this issue. Or perhaps I misunderstood what I read. Any any case, can anyone on Android 12 using V4A and Android Auto confirm if audio is processed with V4A while connected to AA? FWIW, I have a PIxel 4a 5G and have been putting off the upgrade to 12 (hate setting up phones) but if A12 will "fix" this issue I will bite the bullet.
Thanks!

Bluetooth Codec support in Bliss OS 11.13 GMS Stable (x86_64) on Acer Switch Alpha 12

I tried every 64-bit build of BlissOS for my Windows tablet, Acer Switch Alpha 12 (i5-6200U model), and settled on the Bliss OS 11.13 GMS Stable, as this seems like the one that works correctly with my aging tablet.
I installed the BlissOS to an external USB flash drive and booting and running off the flash drive (Samsung FIT USB 3.0 128GB)
99% of things in this BlissOS works, so I'm very happy with it. Android 9 is showing its age as many of the newer apps have dropped support or outright does not support legacy Android, but beggers can't be choosy so I'm happy that Android exists at all for my aging tablet that have served me well.
BIOS is set to Legacy to boot and run this, and I just switch it back to UEFI when I want to run Windows installed inside the internal SSD, so I like this method.
I've unlocked Developer mode (who doesn't? ) and noticed that there's a plethora of Bluetooth codecs listed.
My eco system consists of many AptX, AptX LL, AptX HD, AptX Adaptive devices. After pairing one of my AptX headphones (that also supports AAC), I noticed that bluetooth audio can only do SBC or AAC and not AptX.
Is there any chance that AptX (and many of their variants like LL, HD, Adaptive) will be enabled in BlissOS 11? I know that Jon and Bliss crew has been hard at work with BlissOS 14 and 15, but I've tried both of those, and Bliss 15 never booted on my machine, and BlissOS 14 has a serious problem with the screen not being able to be locked via PIN (I have small children at home that loves tapping on screens so I need to lock it when I step away) and BlissOS 14 does not support screen rotate, so I settled on BlissOS 11, since both of those quirks I've encountered with 14 seems to not be an issue in version 11. "Settings" in version 14 also tends to crash a lot.
Any chance that AptX can be integrated into BlissOS 11? My understanding with licensing is that Qualcomm charges royalty for end-devices: earbuds, headphones, speakers, but not from the transmitter: pc, cell phones, tablets, etc..
AAC is so-so but in my opinion, does not hold up to AptX from an overall point of view of quality vs. connectivity resilience.
I tried Bluetooth on BlissOS 11.x before and I can use aptX. Heck, I can even reach to LDAC without any issue. I also tested on my ProjectSakura-x86 and have the same result (they have the same Bluetooth HAL).

(not recommend to run Live USB, dual boot with a Linux distro is the best option so far)
So I guess something is wrong, you can check if it can get aptX on a Linux distro first. And for BlissOS 14/15.......yea those are in massive overhaul right now so I'll check later (15.x seems to even handle aptX TWS/TWS+).
If you want to ask which Bluetooth card I use and which audio device I have then I am using a Intel AC 8265 (on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen3) with a FiiO BTR3K
nope, I was wrong, aptX is still not there yet and I use AAC/LDAC the whole time
Good news, we got aptX/aptX HD on BlissOS 14 now

aptX Adaptive annoying delay on Android 13+

Have any of you guys using the bluetooth codec aptX Adaptive noticed that videos are no longer in sync with audio after updating to Android 13 or higher?
To be clear, videos were perfectly in sync for me in Android 12. The delay is now something like 350 ms, pretty annoying. I don't think it has much to do with my device or my particular software because I've installed different ROMs and confirmed the same happens.
[EDIT]
I want to clarify this is exclusive to aptX Adaptive, other codecs don't seem to be affected
No one?
Hello, i feel the same in android 13, i'm using mi 11 ultra with flip buds pro, and i realized it recently when i upgraded from android 12 to 13.
Hello, I experienced the same thing, the aptx adaptive codec on tws that I use is having a delay when watching videos and not sync
