Front Camera & audio suddenly stop working in my poco x3 indian version but the audio jack was working for a few days and it also began to stop (undetected) working and they want me to pay half of the price of the phone just to fix the problem they put! We should all complaint against xiaomi to consumers court because they want to loot us.. They are scamming us!!

it's same issue for me too. front camera not working and also speaker not working properly. headphone is working. I think it has to do with the update. I can't even unlock the phone and install any another software. Never again I will buy a chinese phone. the good old samsung is best atleast they don't do these kind of cheating.

Software updates often break things with Xiaomi phones.
When buying Xiaomi, you get great hardware for the money but you have to install a custom ROM to enjoy the phone. The forum is full with super stable ROM that get support and simply work.
My Poco is still running Android 11 and everything works fine over here.

some days ago I got my Mix 2s (Global Stable 9.5.4.0. , yesterdays OTA 9.5.19.0). Everthing seems to be fine, except the front camera: When I select the front camera only the second rear camera always appears. The Same in Google Duo for example. I don´t know if it is a Hardware or a Software Problem. Although the entry for the front camera is displayed in the CTI, the test can not be performed because the device is not responding. What can I do to fix it? The OTA update to 9.5.19.0 did not change anything.

Exact same problem. Got the phone June 11. Updated immediately to 9.5.19.0. Front camera displaying same problem.

Exact same for me as well. Worked on the first 2 days (out of the box). But now it's gone.
If I click to switch to the front camera, it stays on the rear camera (slightly zoomed in).
Same issue here after updating to latest version 9.5.19.0. Now I have to wait 15 days to be able to unlock the bootloader to flash another rom.. :crying:
Unless there is a way to flash the old version of miui with a locked bootloader?

Hi - think I've got the same restriction. Was trying to unlock my Mix 2S last night, but couldn't get anywhere - as the Mi Unlocker software wouldn't recognise my phone (when connected via USB). I didn't know you had to wait 15 days - is this standard?
I was planning to install Android P - to see if this would bring the front camera back.

Yes, front camera still doesn't work. I hope for Android P Update.
Same issue here. Got the phone end of june. Front camera stopped working after a couple days.
Not sure if it's a Software or a Hardware issue though ..
I have the chinese 6/64 version of mi mix 2s.
Today I flashed the latest global miui 10, but the camera still doesn't work.
I'm not sure whether it happened after an update or maybe after it fell to the ground...

Exactly same issue here on my Mix2s. Has anybody contacted Xiaomi and got a response or what have you guys done to resolve? Have you bought a replacement front camera module and installed and has that fixed it?
This is the second hardware issue for me, I've already had to replace the screen as that failed, now the front camera? CIT shows and entry for front camera, front camera aux is empty. When trying to use the front camera it just hangs and keeps a blurred image on the screen from the previous rear camera picture.
I don't know if I'd buy Xiaomi hardware again if it's as flaky as this. Very poor Xiaomi.

Anyone having any issues with the selfie camera not popping up?
It has happened me several times on 9.5.8, rooted. EU version.
Only way to get it to work is to reboot the phone. Back camera works fine and it looks like the selfie camera is operational, but it just doesn't pop up.

Sounds like defective unit contact OP support for RMA
Recently my primary camera stopped working on all apps... don't know why but the front cam works properly on other apps but not in the main camera app.
If I flash a ROM would the Camera work?
I think the camera issue started after the new update!

Literally same issue I first thought it was software but tried resetting and changing roms Nothing worked so confirmed that it was an hardware issue.
Then went to MI authorised service centre he told it's a common problem for poco X2 devices.
He told 2 things
1. The camera hardware might be broken it can be changed and it costs around 3k INR without service charges.
2. The motherboard might be gone to replace it costs 10k without service charges.
(He also told it might be wantedly triggered in order to force customers buy a new phone but it's not sure)
I too felt something creepy that only rear main and rear Bokeh stopped working others are working very fine.
Same happened to me. Now what?

Tried 2 different stock roms and a custom rom. The camera isn't working in any app. Snapchat, gpay or anything

I have carried out the tests of the main camera and it works, but the image appears almost in sepia mode, there are very few colors.
I have tried to restore and flash the smartphone but it is still the same. I have also tried a camera application from the playstore (open camera) and it works but the image appears in sepia mode with very few colors.

I think 6/128 and 8/256 variants have different cam modules
you need to pair it up together to make it work

hi, correct. The cameras of the 8/256 version are different. My smartphone model is version 6/128 and the cameras I'm testing are from another 6/128 x3 pro with a damaged motherboard.
In the image the camera above is mine defective. The camera below is the one that works and I bought.
