Question Mirror to tv - Samsung Galaxy A32 5G

Ok i have the galaxy A32 5G and yes they will allow you to watch your fav movies and anything that is on your phones screen, without having to use your hotspot data.if you have unlimited high speed data like i do then you can really use this,i do know it works on youtube tried already, you will have to buy this cable Renkchip 2-in-1 USB C/Micro USB to HDMI Cable you can also charge phone at same time with usb end pluged into usb on tv.working on my old lg27 inch tv .its cheapest on ebay that is where i purchased mine.it works flawlessly.I payed 22 us dollars at ebay others want 30 bucks.you dont have to turn on bluetooth for sound it works auto, with this adapter cable. you will download ezcast from google play for the device you gonna use it on,for me it was android the A32 5g.hope this helps any of you wanting to know a real life working product for free mirror to tv without using your wifi/hotspot data

I scripted the entire process for these with tasker to automatically do everything after plug in (connect bluetooth audio, change res to 16x9 (1280x720) for full screen on tv, set refresh to 60hz (adaptive gets to 90hz and its too much bandwidth), minimize app) and leave you at the home screen.
Another one for unplug that reverts everything without having to touch anything as well. Leaving you at homesceen, cleared notifications.
The only downside is that it uses state power usb, which means it will activate\deactivate when plugged into a PC too which really isnt a big deal imo. AC wall adapters dont trigger it.
Lmk if you want them they are quite handy. I dont think you need to be rooted, and you will have to change your cables mac address in tasker (easy) for BT audio.
*You dont need to touch anything for this. It even automatically presses the Mirror dialog button.

[Q] Looking for a device...

What's up all.
So here's my thought... Is there a device out there to plug into a TV's HDMI port that will let me send video files wirelessly to it from my phone/computer so that I can watch the videos on the big screen instead of my phone/computer screen?
A few ideas:
- Is there a HDMI-to-bluetooth adapter/dongle that I could plug into the TV and send the videos bluetooth-ly to?
- Is there a HDMI-"SmartTV-creating" adapter (I've seen things like "Android mini pc"s on the 'net) that I could use to transform my TV into a SmartTV or an android "tablet/computer-like-device" and then send the video files from one device to the other? i.e. - devices like this one... http://www.amazon.com/UG007B-Quad-C...d=1389321213&sr=8-13&keywords=android+mini+pc with a wireless keyboard as well of course, and using either bluetooth or a wifi signal to send from my phone/computer to either stream, or transfer the file then watch.
- From what I know the Chromecast device at this time cannot do this, and only works for specific apps like HBO GO, Netflix, Hulu, etc., not for sending straight video files stored on a phone/tablet, but are there other such devices out there that do what I am looking to do?
Thanks all in advance for the help!
Apart from all the other proprietary sets on the market, the wi-fi (802.11/...) USB dongle appear to be an easy way to connect your mobile/laptop/TV to the TV set. The disadvantage is the short range of about 10 feet, unless you use a wi-fi access point to extend the distance range.
On the TV side, attach a HDMI dongle
On a PC, attach wi-fi USB dongle. I think you will need a streaming software.
On a tablet, attach a OTG (On-The-Go) mini-USB-to-USB adapter and then the wi-fi USB dongle. Again, I would think you need a streaming software.
On a mobile phone, it will be more of a challenge. You could do wired-wireless combo:
Phone-to-computer using screen capture application (wi-fi, USB or Bluetooth), then Computer-to-TV via the wi-fi USB option above.
Interesting read:

Thanks for the ideas, and I agree that link was an interesting read.
After thinking, I think the way I'll go about this is using Google Drive and an Android mini pc TV adapter. I can drop the video files (or whatever) into the drive on my computer or phone, then sync my TV Android to get the files to play.

Control S3 with broken screen

I have my wife's old S3. The screen is broken and the touch sensitivity doesn't work.
It is unlocked and I can connect it to my PC monitor with an MHL cable and see the screen. This requires a charging cable to be plugged in for it to work (not the case with the S4 and S5)
I have a USB keyboard and mouse which will control it using a USB OTG cable. If this is plugged in via the MHL cable on an S5 it doesn’t control the phone, so I guess the S3 will be the same even if I could get the screen to display after removing the charging cable.
I have a Chromecast so I could screen cast but would need a way to set this up on the phone first. Then I could just use the USB mouse and keyboard.
I want to install tasker, wake on lan and connect the phone to a wireless network. I will then use the phone to remotely wake a PC by sending it a text message (can’t set ARP entry in router). I already have this set up on an S4 at home. I have an S5 spare but don’t want to waste it for this purpose so would like to find a way to configure the S3.
Does anyone know how I can somehow access the S3 screen and also control the phone at the same time? I have seen a post referencing needing USB debugging but with very little other info.
Or, just in case, does anyone possibly know a way to run wol when the router doesn’t support it e.g. use a raspberry pi etc. so I can just forget the phone method?

HDMI MHL - Shutting off phone display while connected to Sentio Desktop?

Working on a project to turn my phone into a desktop without a need for too specialized adapters and without root. Using my LG G5 for testing this. Have a MHL USB Type C adapter that contains USB, HDMI, and Type C in (charging). The setup works well, and I'm able to hook in my keyboard, monitor, and mouse perfectly. Screen resolution is slightly cut off on the top and bottom edges. It seems to mirror the display of my device. Could imagine it troublesome for taller phones like the S8.
This can be fixed without root, as you can give Sentio Desktop permissions to edit the display settings.
HOWEVER, I don't see anyway to turn off the display when plugged into the adapter and keep running the same.
This is more of a long-term problem. Having the screen on for extended period of time will cause heat issues, not to mention wear on the screen.
Is there any kind of way to turn off the phone's display when hooked in, akin to closing the lid on a Mac when hooked to a monitor (without root preferably)?
Did you ever find out how to do this? Bugs me too!

Control phone with broken lcd

Hi
I have Galaxy Ace 4 (kitkat 4.4) with broken lcd. The screen is blank but touch should work. Earlier something was visible on screen and as I remember touch was working.
Moreover, the system had some failure due to permanent "application xxx stopped working" and factory reset should be made.
I would like to use this phone as wifi hotspot. Is there any way to access the phone after factory reset? I have found application like Visor to control android via usb on pc. But developer mode has to be enabled and I'm not sure if system should be rooted.
Thank you for any help
If you can still see the screen, but the touch screen does not work:
Buy a cheap USB adapter so you can connect a PC keyboard or mouse (probably a USB C to USB A adapter). You can buy these adapters from China on eBay for $ 1 (but you may have to wait a month until they arrive in the mail. In this case, buy from a seller in your own country). I suppose you have a keyboard or just use the keyboard and use the arrows to move and select things, so I think the Windows button will become the home button. Press Enter to select and Escape to return. Or you can simply point and click with the mouse. The problem is that not all phones support "OTG", so you may not be able to read the adapter. If so, then I think you have no other choice. . But most of the stores themselves definitely support 100% OTG, so it should work normally. The problem with Bluetooth is that you need to pair it first, which requires touching the screen. Therefore, if you cannot touch the screen, using a Bluetooth mouse or keyboard may not work
If you can't see the screen, but the touch screen works normally:
Unless you change the screen, don't think that there are many things you can do. Android phones that were previously compatible with MHL allow you to use a dongle to connect it directly to HDMI. But the cell phone no longer has that function. If you have a Samsung phone, I think you can buy a Samsung Dex docking station, which will allow you to connect it to the screen via HDMI. If you can install applications on your phone, you may be able to control your phone from your computer using a screen mirroring application (there are thousands of different software that can do this, but you need to install applications on your phone). Same as Google Chromecast screen mirroring. .You need to access the application on your phone to perform this operation. Therefore, there is nothing you can do except replace the screen. If you are lucky and your smartphone supports some type of HDMI dongle adapter or some type of desktop docking station with HDMI output, you can view the phone's screen and access it.

[2022] Pixel 2 video output (MHL cable etc.?)

So in the year of Christ 2022, is there still any sort of way to output video on a Pixel 2?
Story goes so that I have one with a completely busted screen, that does not register anything at all, let alone show anything. Glass broken, touch screen broked. I read there's some sort of a solution, but it requires an app to be downloaded which obviously is impossible in this case.
Is there any solution besides getting this piece of junk fixed?
I was able to use USB adapter to HDMI (not DisplayPort over USB-C alt mode, but older DisplayLink technology over USB 2, plus adapter to USB-C, normally used for adding extra monitors to laptops etc), but it required a DisplayLink app, not sure if it downloaded it automatically or not but I typically install apps from Google App Store remotely, on a PC browser (and select my phone as the target). A mouse should also work with Android but you'll need USB hub, or a bluetooth mouse, so yes in theory it will work but not for DRM content like Netflix, and not sure about booting up, perhaps you can blidnly use external keyboard for PIN or password.
Edit: USB docks for laptops, with HDMI and more USB ports, also use the DisplayLink technology and may be worth a shot
