Recently Verizon Galaxy S6 or S6 edge good deals often appear on slickdeals.
I would like to buy Verizon Galaxy S6 if good deal appear.
But now I transferred to T-mobile, i wonder that Verizon Galaxy S6 can enable mobile hotspot (Wifi Ththering) function without Verizon sim card.
My wife have Verizon LG G3 and I put the my t-mobile sim card, it caught signal. But it won't enable mobile hotspot and error message popup with following message
"Not a Verizon sim card. Please contact to Verizon Wiress customer....Need a Verizon simcard in order to work. ...............Blah blah"
Who can success mobile hotspot enabled on T-Mobile or ATT or any MVNO network without root/foxfi ?
I known that latest Samsung Galaxy can enable Mobile hotspot without verizon simcard.
Can CDMA phones (such as for verizon) be activated, then SIM card transferred to another phone then activate the phone again with a different SIM from a different carrier or does the ESN for the physical phone get registered to the carrier and will only work with that carrier's SIM?
Basically, I want to activate a BYOD phone for Xfinity that they won't activate because they don't support it but I know the phone will work so I was going to buy a used Samsung S8, activate the SIM, transfer to the other phone then resell the S8.

You might be able to do part of that. If you use a Verizon device to activate a SIM, in theory, you could transfer the SIM to a different device to activate that device on your Verizon account. But you would not be able to activate the Verizon device with a SIM from another carrier unless the Verizon device has been carrier unlocked, otherwise, it is locked to Verizon only and will only work with a Verizon SIM on the Verizon network.
To do what you are doing, you could get an unlocked phone that is supported by Xfinity, then activate that device with a Xfinity SIM then put the SIM from that device in the device that you are trying to activate. After you're set, sell the dummy device that you used to activate the Xfinity account/service/SIM.

Tmobile is GSM and Verizon is CDMA based. The frequencies each network uses are completely different. So you need a phone that supports both GSM and CDMA technology and supports all the frequencies used at Tmobile AND Verizon.
Has anyone SIM unlocked an ATT A51 and is using it on TMobile? I want to switch from ATT to TMobile but when I go to check compatibility of the IMEI for BYOD It says that this phone does not support key features. Your phone doesn't support Extended Range LTE or Voice over LTE technology.
I have a Samsung S10e (SM-G970U1) that is not compatible with Wi-Fi calling. I called my carrier (US Cellular) and they said that they support this service but my phone is not compatible for it. I bought the phone unlocked on eBay. Is there a way to get my phone where I can get Wi-Fi calling enabled? If not, is there an unlocked phone I can purchase that will be compatible with my carrier.
Thanks in advance
