Themes / Apps / Mods System UI Theming - ASUS ROG Phone 5 / 5s

Is there any way to manually set system accents colours and other customization done by the included theme engine. From what i saw theming options are pretty sparse needing me to install whole theme packs from their weird theme store with no way to really customize anything. On a side note does substratum work on android versions beyond oreo as i read a few articles vaguely hinting at that but am not really sure.

Project Themer or Repainter, but you need to have root

[Q] A new question! Wondering if this is possible...

I was looking at my phone the other day and though I like the "Droid Blue" color scheme throughout the OS, I thought it might be fun to change it up. Is this possible? Easy, difficult, not at all? Does someone know where to find a procedure to do so? I was thinking of going with a red theme instead, just for something different...
Along the same lines, I read somewhere a while back that it may be possible to change the color scheme on Android 4.4 as an added option by Google within the software - can anyone verify this?
As always, thanks in advance!
4.4 is white and black, thank-goodness they got rid of the blue. Also, you should really take a look at the themes on the Play Store...
Thanks as always for your replies, it's to the point where I await your responses to my posts/questions in the RAZR HD forums
About the themes in the Play Store... Do they typically work with the stock OS / launcher, or do I have to install a different launcher for certain themes I find (as in the Red Light GO Launcher, for the GO Launcher EX app)?
I was also reading recently about the "Themer" (app?) in one of the threads here at XDA - any experience?
Most of the themes require a theme manager. However, you can use Xposed to install themes, if you're rooted. I haven't messed around with Themer or Go Launcher much. Most of the "themes" you can install on a launcher are only icons. The theme manager changes the entire look, just look at some of the themes for CM that are on the Play Store, you'll see what I mean. Xposed has a module that allows you to modify the themes and use them on most ROMs.

color inversion?

figured i'd try again. are there any xposed modules or root apps that can invert the entire android system? just a basic setting that invert the video output of the gpu. not switchable apps, not one-off apps, something that can do general system inversion
If you're talking about something similar to the color inversion feature in ios7, I don't think there's anything like that for android (wish there was). You can apply a theme to change the System UI, but it won't be completely OS-wide...you would have to install individual apps like you said. Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but here's the thread for the theme I use:

Use Certain Elements of a Theme?

Dear all awesome techies here,
I was wondering if I could get certain elements of a theme instead of the whole thing. I mean, without modding/rooting/being a techie myself.
Basically what I'm trying to do is to change my keyboard, phone log and phone buttons to black background/white text.
There are many themes that have that which I've used before, but I'm in love with the new icons that came with the Galaxy S8+ so I don't want to use the whole thing.
Samsung theme store icon hack - Use icon only from any theme
Samsung theme added a new option in nougat for note 5 and other devices to change only icons. The problem is that icon library is quite limited. Although some themes have great icons but do let you apply icons alone (not so thoughtful of Samsung).
This method here let you use any samsung theme icon without applying that theme, Follow the complete guide here on XDA

Change golor of quick tiles in quick settings menu

I find the new quick tiles (light blue on white background) to be difficult to see. Is there a way to be able to change the color and/or contrast of these icons. I do not want to root the phone. Have looked at xposed, at a few apps from the store. Also a number of different launchers such as Nova, Apex, etc but could not find this functionality in them.
Thx

This is not a launcher feature. There are two ways I know of. The simplest is to get a theme in the Samsung Theme Store (found under system settings) with the colours you want, then just overwrite the background wallpaper and icon pack in your launcher if you don't like them.
I believe you can also use Substratum without root on samsung phones, at least for theming the user interface. Substratum Themes will give you more colour options and won't change your icon pack and background unlike Samung Themes.
Ideally find a Substratum theme labelled Samsung so you know it works, then only tick the android system parts. I have to appologise in advance because I can't post links yet. You'll have to find them in the Play Store yourself.
First, install "Substratum".
Then, you'll have to buy the "Substratum Integration for Samsung (Addon Key)" (if you find it doesn't work, you always have 2 hours to refund it from the play store page)
Lastly, find a compatible theme like "[Substratum] StatusBar Icons (+extras) for Samsung" and activate it in the Substratum app.

[GUIDE] How to theme your phone with custom icon pack for rooted and unrooted devices

Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you those two awesome apps:
theme Galaxy
Swift installer
- theme Galaxy allows you to create an icon based theme with a custom icon pack which can be applied from the Galaxy theme store.
- Swift installer allows you to theme your OS , choose background color, accent color and many other options. It also allows you to theme many apps and it is updated on a regular basis. In case an app is not supported, overlays can be easily uninstalled.
They both work on rooted and unrooted devices. The advantage of having a rooted device is that it saves you time when theming apps, as it does it automatically on a rooted device.
True, you need to pay for both but they are really worth it. I love Touchwiz/Samsung experience and those apps allowed me to theme my phone how I liked to.
I couldn't find much about them here on XDA so I thought creating a thread about it would be nice.
Theme, screen and share!
Cheers!
