Question Can I go back to stock rom? - Realme GT Neo 2

Right now I'm on A.07 Global and there is this weird idle drain even after debloating. People that updated to A.09 still have this issue. I'm wondering if there is a way to go back to stock rom for GT Neo 2 which is A.03.
I remember using it for a few month and idle drain issue isn't there at all and the best part I didn't even debloat it. I have downloaded the file from realmefirmware but it seems that for this phone in particular, the phone cannot detect ofp files when in recovery mode.
So I'm wondering if there is another way to do this.

I stayed on a.03 for over a month and it is way better than a.06 or current a.07 for global.

Can't load firmware on Odin phone bricked

I recently rooted my phone to try and recover some deleted pictures after the phone completely crashed and wouldn't load up , I have tried to install an original firmware using Odin but I keep getting the same message about not being authorized . Am I installing the wrong files or am I not doing something thathat causes it to fail?
Where did you download the firmware? Are you sure you're using the correct version?
Are you on a G930T or a G935T?
I had the same problem on mine before, what solved it was downloading a later version of the firmware, as you can't downgrade just like that.
You can download the latest firmware from Sammbile. (I would link but I have less than 10 posts.
The T stands for T-Mobile, and the 930 is the regular, 935 is the edge. If you're not T-Mobile, you're in the wrong section, but I'm still glad to help once I obtain more information.

Always flash the most recent firmware becasue if you don't remember chances are you can flash an old version and run into issues, so to be safe flash the latest available firmware. Also when you first rooted did you change the CPU governor or run/install anything that could have caused the bootloop in the first place?

You can install this awesome rom to speed things up don't worry it's a stock rom so no Knox trip. The link I will provide also has instructions. So to get started I recommend making a backup of applications with titanium backup which might require the pro so unfortunately you may have to buy a full version( if you don't want to spend money you can patch the app with lucky patcher). And I recommend checking out this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...stockdeodexeddebloatedrom-7-10-t3415952/page1
It is somewhat debloated and has the best speed I've seen yet... Ive been using it for a month now and I love it!

Rooting PK1 and unlimited Tmobile Hotspot

I' m hoping some experts can chime in.
I rooted PK1 about 10 days ago. Followed the Verizon S7 forum that had clear instructions, and used the v15 fixes + debloater.
I made sure the governors were set to interactive.
Despite all this, my phone was extra buggy and had lag, compared to stock. It seemed to get worse with time.
Then on day 6, after root, my phone started boot-looping on the tmobile logo and vibrated.
I un-rooted back to PIA, and tmobile still seems to be monitoring hotspot use, I thought was part of the PK1 OTA.
So, my questions are:
1) are those rooted on PK1 stable, like stock? OR is there still stability issues, beyond adjusting the governors to interactive?
2) what are people using to successfully circumvent tmobiles new hotspot throttle. ( .5kbs or pay $25 per month).
xtether module in xposed, or WiFi Tether Router (root). ??
what is working?
thanks in advance !
I'm not on the PK1 firmware yet, but I just upgraded from PG1 to PIA.
As far as performance goes, I found this thread VERY helpful: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...uide-fine-tuning-performance-battery-t3417804
Maybe it will serve well for you as well. As far as rooting is concerned, not too sure from personal experience, but I heard the ENG boot works with the newest firmware and I'm guessing the modified SU should work for it too.
If you would like to try reverse engineering the files yourself, maybe these guides will help out:
http://arm.ninja/2016/03/04/reverse-engineering-samsung-s6-modem/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/how-to-reverse-engineer-kernel-t3137384
http://www.fortisfio.com/extract-android-rom-for-reverse-engineering/
In regards to removing bloatware, I prefer removing apps over services because you never know when you might need a service that you accidentally removed from a previous time. Also I've been going through many cases of trial & error with removing bloatware and a few times ended up messing up other apps in the process that would force crash, but with my current setup everything seems to be working well.
If you need help with removing bloatware, there are 3 apps that really helped me out.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.piriform.ccleaner <-- Surprisingly ccleaner is awesome for the android as well as the PC.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp&hl=en <-- this is very useful as well
Another tool I found very great and you run this from your computer is Debloater: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294
Hope this helps. I'm trying to currently work on a way of creating custom odin flashable roms so I can optimize roms to the best of my ability and provide the community with more options as well. This is still a work in progress though. :S
EDIT:
Here is an output of my program list. It was too long for me to post directly in the message
adb shell pm list packages -f
thanks a lot!
I have read about ENG boot being an improvement as well, yet nobody is stating that it is stable as it is prior to root, just improved lag, performance and stability. I know in my experience, root, for the first time in 8 years of rooting is not worth the benefits. This is sad. Must be stable. (in addition -no roms, no nanroids, no samsung Sumsung Pay..etc..etc..) So I'm hopeful things will change soon, or will be forced away from Samsung. Tmobile privacy invasion issue, and bait-and-switch with their plans is even further less encouraging news. Imagine "unlimited" = less.... wow.
Well said, and I completely agree. I've been a BIG fan of previous Samsung models, but it seems with every new model that comes out there are less and less options for customizations. I'm currently in the process of trying to figure out how to repack tar.md5 files *properly*.
I've gotten close, but then it fails right at the very end. I'm still waiting for a response from someone hopefully with more knowledge than I, but I guess I have to be patient. Here was my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s7/help/creating-flashable-odin-file-t3500139
Any way, I'd love to see more customization for the S7. I think it's a great phone and it has so much potential. I also love android and always felt it gave users more ability for customization as opposed to Apple. Like you, I just hate all the bloat ware and all the crap that comes on phones these days. Not only that but the markup price is ridicules. Having to pay $600+ for a phone that is "laggy" due to all the bloat on it is frustrating to say the least. This is why I'm trying to give the community more options or at least steer them in a direction to customize their devices easier. Currently despite all the various amounts of software that is provided through this community I feel like there aren't too many people that know how to properly use it.
Any who, good luck with your phone. Let us know if you figure anything out with it. Also, are there any significant advantages with the newest firmware over the PIA? I usually like to hold off from upgrading right away so that all the "kinks" get worked out first since it's difficult to downgrade afterwards.

I was rooted stock and I used the fixes.zip , I stopped using the debloater because my phone had issues after.
Its bootlooping because you accepted the security update popup.
You know what, that happened to me once, I forgot. What I needed to do is reflash the ENG boot file then when I got back into the phone, remove and reinstall SU. After your phone restarts, go into playstore --> you apps --> and uncheck "Auto Update" for Super User.

thanks I tried going back to PIA and used fixes only, as the debloater might be the culprit !

yes. If your using the firmware in the verizon rooting forum, that stumped me too. It doesn't work.
Must be PIA (sept 27) or newer. I got the firmware from here The sammobile site.
and flashed fine with odin. Then used the established root method from the Verizon forum, using only the V15 fixes and NOT the bloatware remover.
Still testing the root stability (2 days driving). Seems ok, but not as stable as stock so far, but acceptable for me. Cool, no battery drain, but have noticed some lag/ and buggy things that I'm deciding whether or not was a settling that was not apparent on stock w/o root.
In addition, when I was given this loaner phone from the N7, the store migrated all my data and apps using the built in sammy prog. I was concerned how this would affect my phones performance in the long run. 3 "upgrades"/ swaps later of the same technique of migrating apps/settings/data between different phones took it toll. So the bootloop issue earlier forced me to unroot and start fresh, without a choice.... The proper PIA flashed on my device (no root of course) was rock-sold stable for the few days I tried it.

Thanks for the response. I have a SM-G930T and the firmware I am running currently is the " G930TUVU4APIA" stock. I just am using the ENG boot file and removed a bunch of apps myself (not using the v15 debloater or fix). Any way, the PIA firmware is still a little sluggish for me, and I was thinking of going back to "G930TUVU3APG1", but every time I try to flash it through ODIN I get an error. Something similar to "SW. REV CHECK FAIL : FUSED : 4, BINARY : 3".
And I didn't think that a verizon firmware would work on a tmboile phone? They're completely different hardware? Like GSM vs CDMA? Or am I missing something?

NO you need the Tmobile files, available in links here, or better from the sammobile.com site i mentioned above.
I would never flash verizon firmware on a tmobile-connected phone.
In addition, are you following the verison unroot method from the verizon s7 rooting guide? the verizon root references for me were just where the best info is for all S7 people, but the software links are to older firmware that didnt work...
Basically, you are using odin to flash ALL files at once (ie AP, BL, CP, CPC), then you are back at tmobile stock as per date of package used (PIA, PG1..etc).
Earlier versions before PIA do not flash, for me. I believe this is b/c i took an OTA security update that did something to prevent this. PIA worked fine for me, and is working not bad.
I'm satisfied for now, and I will wait for stable Nougat before anything else, and done with customizing and playing.
I hope this helps you

S7 Edge Oreo battery drain fix (exynos) - finally

Hi. I managed to fix oreo battery drain in my S7 Edge BTU. Solution is simple. There is new official firmware available for tw and hk (they are exynos as well) . Only needed thing to fix the drain issue is flash modem file from hk firmware (EREO).
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11050483647474827874
Device stays official, knox not tripped, all samsung apps working, no need to mess up with files from nougat. Tested working, cell standby drain is gone. Before it was up to 30% in my phone, now after nearly 16h only 2%. Flash with odin 3.13 up, 3.12 doesn't recognize oreo lz4 files.
Solution from samsung community forums

I'll wait for someone to report as I'm running a custom rom right now.
But looks promising =)
Do you have 4g enabled?
Edit: just seen the 4g icon in two of your screenshots, sorry I missed that.
Okay. I found the BL and CP Files for S7 Flat. Cell Standby drian is fixed?. But now "Android System" drains extremly... how to fix that?
Where do you found the files for S7 flat?
I can confirm that the drain is also fixed in the newest version of this ROM:

For BL/Modem Updates u can use odin if you have no root. If you have root then you can download the lastest BL_CP zip for S7/S7edge and simply flash it via TWRP. i got Android System Drain fixed by flashing TGP Kernel and. I also use ForceDoze app. My todays SOT is actually 5h 50min and i still have 24%. Standby Drain: Nothing???I think Android System drain is a Kernel relates issue bc on TGP Kernel i have only 13% of Android System drain. On MoroKernel i had around 35%-50%?... but with TGP Kernel all is fine for me. Whats your Device mate? Then i can give you all links to files bc i safed them in my Browser?

Downgrade from Nougat 7 to Oreo 8 G955FD

First thing i searched everywhere and find out am the only one with this problem....
The problem start after Oreo update first with random restarts and finally freezing screen.
i am now on Oreo update U4 september and the phone is very unstable with rabdom restarts and freezing on a black screen THAT EVEN DONT RESPOND TO FORCE RESTART !!!
So i need to wate till the phone loss all is battery then charging it, power it on to be able to flash official rom again and agian everytime this happen.
the phone can hold sometimes for 400-600 hours after flashing the offical rom and the the problem occure again
i start to believe theres something wrong with Oreo on this phone..So the last thing to do to make sure there is nothing wrong with Hardware i need to Downgrade to Nougat 7 but when i do that using Oden (flashing AP and BL) it show me error ..So i hope someone can help me with another method to downgrade to Nougate or even figure out whats the main problem that cause all this...

Since your on bootloader version 4 (u4) you won't be able to downgrade to nougat which is why you are getting errors in Odin. When flashing firmware do you use CSC or home CSC.
Not sure if it's hardware related or not but if you are getting up to 400 - 600 hrs out of it I would say it:s software related. There are some apps on playstore for hardware test to try if you like. One issue I have had is the processor running to hot and causes me some issues to the point you can't do anything until it cools down.

i use Home CSC ... and i am sure its not the heat that cause the freezing its happen even when device cool.... This weird behavior doesnt have a constant form... most of the time the freezing happen during the first few minuts during setup device ...FORGET TO MENTION ....in TWRP recovery the device is feeling very well and run smooth without any issue at all... is there something to do now in your openion can solve this?
and if not... what samsung can do for the device to bring it life again?... thanks for your replays

I would think if it is hardware related than the issues would also happen in recovery and/or download mode. I have heard of other people having issues when flashing firmware with home CSC.
Some things I would personally try are:
1. You could try smart switch and check for latest firmware or recovery option.
2. Run in safe mode see if that makes a difference
3. In recovery wipe cache/dalvik and reboot
4. In recovery factory reset
5. Flash firmware again with CSC not home CSC.
Problems with options 1,4,5 is you will need to backup your apps and data etc. Option 5 you will have to reinstall twrp.
These options aren't in any order so I would start with 3 first see how it goes then 2 see how it goes then ,1,4 and 5 and see how it goes for each step.
Let me know how it goes

stable android 11 released for op7p

why is no one discussing stable android 11 for op7p ? got my update round 3 a.m. this morning. been searching all day for a working twrp since the stable android 11 been released. no luck though......
Hi,
Today I installed the update manually and my phone keeps flashing the TWRP load-screen at boot. It's stuck now. Is that because there is no compatible TWRP version yet? How do I fix this?? Any idea?
There is no working TWRP yet for Android 11. You'll need to flash the stock boot.img or rooted boot.img from one of the threads in the news, guides section.
Edit: TWRP screen flashing is because it's incompatible. I had the same issue on the open betas.
Have the exact same issue as above, Twrp screen flashing, cannot boot back to normal even with adb... anybody has a rooted boot.img link that knows works with Android 11?
Should have checked on xda first *slaps his face*
Always check xda first *slaps his face again*
EDIT: For other poor saps with this issue use this -> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=2188818919693770594 I didnt managed to get booted with rooted img but the original boot img file worked well ... at least I got a phone now...
im on 10.3.8 and rooted..
can i just do the same old process.. twrp isnt an issue as long as may apps are safe and root..

No, its not the same process.... For me for example I couldnt get wifi to actually work on rooted image AND you lose the ability to do backups via TWRP..... Refer here for the latest on this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...p-recovery-for-oneplus-7-pro.3931322/page-153

I mean.. same steps.. that ive used so far amd retain its root.
1. Download rom via o2 updater
2. Flash it via local update
3. Install magisk to inactive slot
4. Reboot.
So if i do this.. wifi wont work??? Is that it???
Finished updating my phone..after downloading it for about 2 hours.
And im quite satisfied with the results. No problems whatsoever..
Glad for you... You probably had already removed the encryption on your mobile... from what I'm reading that is the main incompatibility issue with TWRP...
FWIW after playing around for a day, I had to revert everything Phone wifi was weird (weirder with root and all mods disabled) and system was a little unstable in some 3p apps and there seems to be some bugs with the phone screen 60/90 refresh... Gonna wait a bit to update again.
