hi!
I'm using One UI 4.1 and locked my icons on home screen on settings. But the dock icons don´t get locked (but still remain on dock).
It happens to you?
How to solve this, without nova launcher or so?
I'm having problems with battery and don't want install another laucher (at least for now).
Thanks

Do your dock icons randomly change places?
yes
this is a known issue, I think that the fix is coming in the future update. I would assume april, if not then may :/
There's a bug in the Home Up module of Good Lock where if you change the Task Changer (at the bottom of the list in Home Up), it causes this. If you leave it stock, it doesn't happen. I usually use the "list" setting and it was driving me crazy changing the dock icons order. After some troubleshooting, I realized setting the Task Changer to the stock setting fixed it.

As the title indicates I have no "goto" icons in my lockscreen and my home screen is missing the most important icons, the only on there is the middle one for all apps.
See file attatched
Is this a know bug and is there a way to sort it? Yes I have tried reinstalling the rom without any luck.
It seems to work with other launchers (Go Launcher and LauncherPro) but I really just want the stock feel.
Also settings seem to crash a lot...
I had this kind of issue with the lockscreen. If you can, try running the HTC setup app. It hopefully will restore it. Make sure you don't have any repeating Force Close messages, especially with HTC apps. That locks up the whole thing and usually forces you to have to restore a nandroid backup.
Well, that kinda worked for the lockscreen, I now have settings and one other thing there. I seem to remember there used to be a way to customize which icons to show? Any idea where to find it?
Anyone got any tips on the home screen icons?
Hi,
Just got HTC One X today and immediately updated to JB. After installing my apps and setting it up, I noticed that certain widgets would disappear from my home screen (Nova Launcher) and from lock screen (WidgetLocker). Only certain widgets - Battery Widget Reborn, Power Toggles, Smooth Calendar. After a reboot, they show up as grey boxes and I would have to tap and setup the widget again. Also noticed that SwiftKey would no longer be set as default keyboard and I would have to disable/re-enable to be able to choose it again.
Messed around and it's the same behavior with the stock launcher but with that, they the widgets just disappear altogether.
I did a system erase and pretty much nothing installed, same behavior. I've played with every setting to see if that had an effect but no different.
Has anyone encountered this or have any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks in advance.
Jeff
Hello all,
I'm a relatively new OnePlus One owner and yesterday after I rebooted my phone, a new page showed up as part of my home screen pages. What was the first home screen page is now the second one and this new page took it's place.
Since I have no idea what it is, I'm attaching a screen shot for reference in hopes someone might be able to tell me. It's mostly blank with the text that says:
Get some extensions!
Looks like you don't have any installed
extensions. CM Home currently supports
DashClock extensions, so go get some and check
back here!"
Would anyone know where this suddenly came from and more importantly, how can I get rid of it? If I had wanted it there, I would have added it myself. Don't much appreciate a phone that doesn't respect user settings.
Thanks!
Tim
Nobody knows?
There must be some way of getting rid of this thing. It seems to have shown up after I updated to 38R. It's also mentioning something about Dash Clock. But since I don't have any app named Dash Clock installed, I have no way of uninstalling it.
Tired of these apps or themes, etc that just think it's fine to modify a user's settings and add whatever they want to a phone. I take the time to setup my phone for a reason. If I had wanted something changed or added, I'm perfectly capable of determining which apps I wish to have and where I wish to place associated folders, icons, widgets, etc.
Would be very appreciate if anyone could give me some advice how to get rid of that page.
Thank you!
It is part of the trebuchet launcher from cyanogen. You must have gone into the settings and turned on the CM Home search panel. Just go back into the launcher settings and change the search panel option to "off" and it should go away.

Thanks so much for the reply. I have looked already, but see nothing obvious listed in my Settings where I can find anything related to CM Home search panel. I have also searched for any apps that might be labeled as trebuchet, launcher, CM, etc. Would you mind telling me where exactly I can find such a setting as you mentioned?
Thank you again.

It is not in the phone settings it is on the home screen. Long press down on any part of the home wallpaper not covered by an icon or widget and you should see a menu bar pop up at the bottom with 3 icons for setting wallpaper, widgets and something else. There should be an up arrow near the top of the menu bar which when pressed will take you to the launcher settings, that is where you can change the options.
Hi there,
just figured out what was messing up my icons and making them look as if they're broken or sth. ... so basically simply toggling on and off the setting 'Normalize icon size' in the Look & Feel section makes the icons screw up. And that's not only the icons on your desktop but also the icons in the app drawer. So just never toggle that option... EVER .. just let it be. And you'll be all good. I figured making regular back-ups is a great thing so .. take advantage of that.
If its too late already and u've already screwed things up, then reinstall Nova launcher ... that fixed the problem for me.
This is the problem
Well ... was too good to be true. Now I just got the same error, this time NOT caused by the above-mentioned reason, though. What a bummer. Reinstalling didn't fix anything this time
The fix however might be hiding in enabling 'Aggressive desktop' under advanced settings.
It's still there I have Nova Launcher Prime v.4.2.0 and the problem is that when I enlarge the icon size of icons on desktop and in app drawer and then simply toggle 'Normalize icon size' in 'look and feel' OFF and then back ON the icons mess up. I toggle it on purpose just to see if the error is still there, cos I know this is 1 way off tracking the error, but sadly other things cause the error too. I haven't yet found out what they are though. The problem is that I have this problem with icons, not only with shortcuts on desktop but also with icons in the app drawer. See this image for the issue. Once I get it it's a lot of work to fix it. Sorta reinstalling and starting from scratch, cos backups don't really help ... no idea why even if they were made at an earlier point in time before the wrong adjustment of settings was made, i.e. before increasing icon size too much and toggling 'Normalize icon size'. Using 'aggressive desktop' does not help solve the problem. That's why for now i've switched to Apex.
So yeah ... don't go over 105% for size of desktop icons ... that's the culprit. If you go over that and toggle the 'Normalize ...' option then you'll end up with the problem.
Hi, I have a Samsung S10+ running Android 10 and One UI 2.5.
I am constantly getting an issue with Nova Launcher where if i clear my recent apps the screen refreshes and then One UI takes over and it goes to that home screen rather than Nova. If i then press the Home button again it then takes me back to Nova's home screen again and does stay there until i clear my recent apps again.
Nova is definitely set to the default launcher and when this happens i go into the Nova settings and it shows no launcher is set as default, i then set it as default but the same thing keeps happening each time.
I have tried clearing the cache from both Nova and One UI but this didn't fix anything.
Is this a know issue? It has happened for a while but wasn't that annoying but since a recent android update it seems to be happening all the time now.
Does anyone know if i can fix this?
Thanks
James

Yes , it's because since Android 10, the nav bar and recent UI are managed by your default launcher. That's really infuriating I know. But if you root your device with magisk, there is a module called QuickSwitch that allows you to set a third-party launcher as the nav bar UI provider.
Hope that helps
