Fitness Band running Wear OS (or at least GooglePay)? - Wear OS General

Early reports of the new Fitbit bands planned is that they're going to stick to Fitbit OS and with that most probably FitbitPAY. Why has no one made a fitness band with Wear OS or at least a band with NFC that supports GooglePay?
I do not want to replace my analogue watch with a smart-watch, but I would like to track my steps/HR/sleep/etc. and use GooglePay so I'd be happy wearing the band on my right hand with my analogue watch in my left hand. What's the solution, other than wait longer?

The Fitbit Charge 5 uses FitbitPay
The Garmin Vivosmart 5 uses GarminPay
The Xiaomi Miband 6 is only compatible with MasterCard(?)
Is there a fitness band which is compatible with GooglePay?

[Q] Recommendation for "no-name" cell phone

G'day
Yesterday, my SG4 I9505 fell down a flight of stairs and broken into sizable pieces. I went on to look for a new phone that might be a good match for my "old" broken one. Since I currently live in Switzerland, I'd like to have a recommendation for a phone which matches the LTE 4G frequency used by the providers here, though I'm frequently traveling to the USA and sometimes to Asia (though I normally just buy a replacement phone for the duration). While searching through the net, I eventually hit alibaba.com and browsed through the manufacturers there, in hope to find a cool combination of hardware for my new replacement phone. What I would really like is the following (could be more or more specific, once helpful people reply):
A really fast CPU (low power consumption). Of course, the word good is very unspecific here.
3000+ up to 4000mAh battery
A brilliant 1080p display with vivid colors, with good contrast ratio
Fast and accurate GPS, a-GPS
GSM, 3G, 4G, LTE with the according frequency bands necessary to connect to various providers in Europe, mainly Switzerland. Why can't we have programmable chips which adapt their frequency for the cell connectivity? I currently have 100Mbit/s download and 10Mbit/s upload, so I'd like to continue using this as my main mobile Internet access
Rootable Android (easily upgradeable to newest versions)
Advanced audio chip
Dual SIM
Moderately good lens (I very much prefer lower MPixels but enhanced IS and really working in low-light given the physical constraints)
All the goodies of the normally used SoC CPUs
Aluminium alloy
2-4GB RAM
At least 32GB space
Wifi
Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, temperature, humidity, gesture
Has anybody tested any of these hundreds of new Chinese and Korean mobile phones or has some experience with no-brand phones?

Xiaomi Releasing New Bracelet With New Heart Rate Monitor

It looks like there was a purpose behind Xiaomi lowering the price of their Mi Band to 69 Yuan as a reliable source has revealed that the company plans to release a new bracelet soon called the Mi Band 1S.

According to the source, the Mi Band 1S will feature a similar design to the original Mi Band but will be slightly bigger due to it housing a larger sensor which features a new optical heart rate sensor. The new heart rate monitor is the new bracelet’s biggest feature. According to rumors, the new sensor is able to detect the user’s heart rate while awake and while asleep.
The rest of its feature will be similar to the original Mi Band which include a step counter or pedometer, a calorie counter, a sleep monitor, alarm, phone unlocker, call alert, and more. With the new heart rate monitor, the battery life of the Mi Band 1S is expected to be less than the original Mi Band but should still be around two weeks long.
As for pricing, the Mi Band 1S will take the previous price spot of the original Mi Band at 99 Yuan, keeping Xiaomi’s fitness bracelet pricing below 100 Yuan and making the Band 1S the cheapest fitness bracelet with a heart rate monitor. Xiaomi plans to release the Mi Band 1S later this week on November 7 but the new product should start showing up on the Xiaomi official website, Lynx, Jingdong, and other online stores on November 11.

It isn't. Adslr, no lens reflex. Just a medocre camera, and phone with the name Kodak plastered on it.
Yeah I didn't mean to put that in the title lol
I have this phone and the camera is good. It's not great however, the Pixel's camera is still unmatched.
You have to keep in mind that this is a mid-tier device. That being said, the processor is amazing. It handles just about everything that you throw at it.
The lense is mostly cosmetic. The device is supposed to take its design cues from the 1943 Kodak Ektra camera and I think it's a pretty good execution.
It' freaking huge! Lay it down flat, on the lens because that's the only way and do the same with a Nexus 6P, the Ektra is 2.5 times wider. Also, my Nexus has a Toast wooden skin on it. Without the skin, I imagine the Ektra would be 3 times the width as the Nexus.
That being said, It's still a capable device and this is by no means a full review. If you like taking photos, the Ektra has a dedicated shutter button. It's more of a novelty phone than a contender to other devices, which is fine. If you like the Kodak brand then it might be for you
Yea I agree. I wasn't looking for this phone, but was up late this Cyber Monday 2017. Best Buy had it for $99! I can try it out for $99! It's definitely a device to add to my collection
It's hard to beat for $99.99 especially for an unlocked phone. I ordered one myself on Cyber Monday.
I usually get an AnTuTu score of 86,000 - 88,000. It covers ALL of the AT&T LTE Bands which are currently Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz), Band 5 (850 MHz), and Band 17 (700 MHz). It also covers all of the T-Mobile LTE Bands which are Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz), and Band 12 (700 MHz).
The Kodak Camera App is a little on the slow side sometimes, but OpenCamera works well and supports the shutter button on the Kodak Ektra.
Now it is back to $399.99 on Best Buy's website:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/kodak-...-phone-unlocked-black/5884209.p?skuId=5884209
Here it is on Kodak's website:
https://www.kodak.com/us/en/Consumer/Products/EKTRA/default.htm
Here are a couple of reviews. I like reading a first impression review, and then a long term review by the same user; in this case a photographer:
https://www.thephoblographer.com/2017/06/18/first-impressions-kodak-ektra-smartphone/
https://www.thephoblographer.com/2017/09/08/review-kodak-ektra-smartphone-android/
The main things I like about this phone are that it has very little bloatware on it, that it is mostly pure Android, and that it has pretty good camera hardware. It may not have the best camera, but definitely better than most.
Hi. Did you get android 7 at least, with the last update, or., Is it still android 6?
Thanks.
In Germany the two biggest electronic outlets, MediaMarkt and Saturn are currently selling it for 95€, which is a great price for a Phone with FHD Display, 3 GB Ram and 32GB Memory. Unfortunally there probably will never be a clean custom rom due to the damn MediaTek Prozessor
It's presently on sale on B&H for $99.99 (it was $149.99 when I posted this):

And did someone find a way ? Need Root too . I test so many OneClick-Root Apps & Programs but no way it's a so nice phone and I love the clean Android 6 ( so no custom ROM needed on this phone ) but Root is very important on Android
Hope someone find a way to do that and make this phone perfekt
Ektra Root

Bumping for a kodak root too!

Upgrading Question.

Hi,
Long time reader, not so often poster. I am on an unlimited plan with TMobile on my trusty galaxy S7. The plan is about to expire and my trusty Galaxy S7 is no longer trusty. Random restarts, crashes, slowdowns, battery discharge, etc etc. I have factory resetted the device and i still have the issues.
So do i upgrade to the S8, the S9, the Pixel 2, or wait for the Pixel 3?
I will use it for gaming and multimedia primarily.
The only phone in your list worth considering is the S9 because it has Band 71 (600MHz). TMobile is rapidly expanding this frequency in non-city areas first. It will improve reception in areas where it is poor or non existent. The other phones cannot ever use the new Band 71. Also look at the One Plus 6. Really good reviews and support for VOLTE, wifi calling and Band 71. Phone is cheaper than the S9

Fitness Band for K20 Pro

Could someone suggest a good Fitness band for K20 Pro (which has SP02 and improper heart rate alert which means continuous heart rate monitor). Does MI band 4 or Honor band 5 works with this?
I have honor band 5 and ir works fine
I'm using the GT watch work fine for me. I use it more as a smart watch instead of a fitness tracker but I compared it with my fitbit before and the GT watch was more accurate on step count.
