First Time Install / Clean Flash
1. Download the zip for your device
2. Reboot to fastboot/bootloader
3. Unzip TinyFastbootScript in a new folder with the ROM.zip
4. Run flash.bat, select 1 for latest drivers.
5. Press "n" and then "3" to open a cmd window
6. Type fastboot -w
7. Type fastboot update filename.zip (changing filename.zip to the actual filename)
8. Wait for device to reboot to system
9. #KeepEvolving
Update / Dirty Flash

Oops, I made a clean flash and it booted well.
But I couldn't connect to my carrier.
I chose the APN from the list correctly but no luck.
So I switched back to 5.x and it worked well again.
Any suggestion?
( I believe I can't do dirty flash 6.x over 5.x , right? )

THX! This is the best ROM based on Android 12 for nio (IMO).
The issues of initial release are already gone now.
So stable and battery life is awesome too.

Do we need 'Unzip ROM.zip' even though flash it using 'fastboot update' method?

Me, pretty much. I havent applied for official status, and im not going to. The only difference is official has ota updates, unofficial doesnt.

Flashed it late last week and it has been buttery smooth and absolutely insane battery life compared to stock. It's nice to be back in the EvoX world. Excelllent work @Beetle84 !

I haven't tried, but id say there would be issues.
You could try it, but i think a clean install will be mandatory.

Not a problem. All I worry about is the camera. Is it working normally? Because there is a big saturation issue in Oreo builds for MZP.

For my use it's ok (mainly for work) but i never use my phone to take beautifull photo anyway, i use a real camera for that. I think it will be the same as others oreo roms, since it's most likely blob/device related.
For other people information you need the latest TWRP recovery to flash this rom or you will get error 7 like i did but updating to the latest recovery then it flashed. Now to test it.

Edit: For camera, do we need still use Footej?
I'm using gcam posted in themes and apps section saturation issue is still there but it doesn't bother me

Is this just because of my variant (I'm on XT1635-02, retail Brazil). Is there anything I can do here, or you need to add support from there?
I did install the latest OTA NPNS26.118-22-2-8 (November sec patch) so my bootloader certainly got upgraded it seems...
Really nice rom - I flashed it dirty over AOSP Oreo - much more settings - will test it a bit , then flash it clear . Good work

it should work on your model, just look like you don't have the right bootloader, can't say more

Really a bad idea to dirty flash over an other rom, even for test. you give the wrong example.
Always clean flash if you come from an other rom, it's the rule
Yeah, so it seems... Apparently the latest OTA upgrades the bootloader version to 1.13 which isn't compatible to any custom rom (I've just tried most of the roms here now and all of them fail with the same error unfortunately).
I should stop taking OTAs (sigh)

Try looking for the APN settings for your provider, you can add the network manually if it's not being auto-detected. Your provider isn't listed on your XDA profile.
If it works when you add it manually then let the dev know the provider and settings and they can add it to the rom so it works automatically.

Unfortunately, this did not work. I had to do it manually too. The Mobile Network button is greyed out, so I went to the system app APN Editor through a third party app, and it says "Access Point Name settings are not available to this user". Working with the dev to try and figure it out.

FP is perfect no flicker.
2 options for refresh rate. Automatic change between 60 and 90. And second option force 90. Bith works perfectly
Couple of bugs I noticed:
Brightness shows 0% for a while after boot even when the brightness is changed
The numberpad for pin entry is too low, the 0 overlaps the fingerprint reader. (Can just about tap on 0 if you tap under the FP)
TWRP isn't allowing decryption with the pin entered in this rom, had to use "fastboot -w" to wipe storage. (Using TWRP 3.4.0-0)
I assume we have no face unlock on this now too?

Had the same issue, just run the uninstaller script from Magisk's github, it should boot fine. I tried both stable and beta releases of Magisk and had the same isue.
Because I know people are going to ask, FOD is working, but not when the screen is off.
Also, @joeyhuab, do you really need to bundle gapps with the rom? Could you at least just bundle the bare minimum for Play functionality? I don't like having duplicates of apps if I don't use the oness Google makes. Btw, what's with the camera app? One of the things I really liked about this ROM was the MIUI camera, which works really well on this phone. The one you guys put in barely has any features at all.

I flashed Magisk 20.4 and right after that Magisk 21. Seems to Work.
Edit: TWRP cannot decrypt with my correct PIN. :/

One of the things I really liked about this ROM was the MIUI camera, which works really well on this phone. The one you guys put in barely has any features at all.

I didn't say Screen Off FOD was included.
I bundle gapps to avoid new users having to be confused over which gapps package to install after the ROM. Also, if this were to imitate a Pixel device, how could it be without any gapps? Feel free to flash any other AOSP ROMs out there as it's my choice to include gapps and it won't change my mind.
I didn't bundle MIUI's Camera yet due to build issues. I hope you understand that not everything can be bundled in easily.

You can install latest from Urnyx or Hypercam, I think it works
I just did a clean install here. So far so good.
As for GCam, using the latest version from urnyx.
The only bug found so far: Notification light doesn't work.

Confirming that urnyx Gcam works fine and back notification light ain't working properly even though the blinking light option is on.
Other than that it's running well.
I'll test some more stuff tomorrow when off work.

Something that I noticed is that Bubble chat is not working for whatsapp. Did anybody try enabling that?
Another thing is that you can use notification edge lightning as a workaround for the notification light. It works with always-on display (enabled for notifications)

In your op the installing instruction wants me to install the ROM after Magisk and not before. Is that really the right order or only a mistake?

Everyone coming from a different ROM (custom or MIUo) and android 10 EvoX needs to do a clean flash. And the guide is a bit wrong. Will be fixed when I have time
the weather doesn't work. It shows the weather on the desktop, but when you click on it, the application does not start

There is no weather app, it's data Pixel launcher fetches from the internet

Magisk works fine i flashed it and used it for at least a couple of root access i needed.
Just remember that with the new version 22 you have to rename the apk and flash it directly from twrp. I haven't tested bluetooth headphones but bluetooth in my car is just ok.

..flash apk from Twrp...? How, why? I use the ZIP. How is your procedure?
Download magisk 22, which is apk file. Just rename to zip and flash it in twrp.

Rom works wonderfully and is extremely responsive! it's astonishing how everything moves super fast with no problem at all!
there's just one thing. the camera app constantly freezes, no matter if I use the one bundled with the OS or if I install the GCAM port, it's the same either way.
That's the only issue I've found so far, I hope it can be solved in a future patch!

Same problem here. It's unusable at this point. Performance wise is great, but not stable. Any updates?

Same here... Very Nice ROM, but It freezes out of nowhere
Hello, it is really a very nice Rom - thank you!
Unfortunately the encryption doesn't work for me although the official TWRT (twrp-3.7.0_9-0) supports it. (Everyone can see the complete contents of the data partition unencrypted without having to enter the user's Android PIN/password when starting TWRP)
Is there a trick to enable encryption??

The ROM works fine for my device and others. It means the issue is with the tulip builds. If you can't understand that, I don't know what else will make you understand it.
There is some stability issues with this build. I don't know how to do it myself can you please recompile it?
