Had the same issue, just run the uninstaller script from Magisk's github, it should boot fine. I tried both stable and beta releases of Magisk and had the same isue.
Because I know people are going to ask, FOD is working, but not when the screen is off.
Also, @joeyhuab, do you really need to bundle gapps with the rom? Could you at least just bundle the bare minimum for Play functionality? I don't like having duplicates of apps if I don't use the oness Google makes. Btw, what's with the camera app? One of the things I really liked about this ROM was the MIUI camera, which works really well on this phone. The one you guys put in barely has any features at all.

I flashed Magisk 20.4 and right after that Magisk 21. Seems to Work.
Edit: TWRP cannot decrypt with my correct PIN. :/

I didn't say Screen Off FOD was included.
I bundle gapps to avoid new users having to be confused over which gapps package to install after the ROM. Also, if this were to imitate a Pixel device, how could it be without any gapps? Feel free to flash any other AOSP ROMs out there as it's my choice to include gapps and it won't change my mind.
I didn't bundle MIUI's Camera yet due to build issues. I hope you understand that not everything can be bundled in easily.

One thing I noticed is that the long wait before starting Google Store download reduced a lot, now less than 30 seconds. This might be due to the version of gapps, but very comfortable for me.

No,
SuperSU is included in the ROM. You can flash Magisk aswell, which will uninstall SuperSU.

If i open majisk go to home if I don't force stop majisk before I press the recent button system ui crashes.

It looks like there's a older version of SuperSU installed by default.
If you go to Settings, and scroll down to "System", there's a "SuperSU" button.

Well, in LOS12.1 I used a little bit older version, I forgot the version, sorry. Anyway, this version of gapps works like a charm in SlimLP. Now SlimLP is my favorite ROM, I will be stick to this ROM.

I wanted to try out Omni, but couldnt get pass the "Installing updates" in the initial google setup, I tried it flash with nano package. The only possibility for me was to boot into system after flashing ROM and then going back to flash gapps afterwards, but couldnt called out my google back up.

Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag (I'll try not to use big words, because the idea is to be simple) aim at something towards elegance. Amazing work
The rom is super smooth and the battery life is excellent too (4h 44min and still 48 % left)
I will try the update later. At the Moment SourceForge is extremely slow
Edit : I used another mirror. The Camera fix works

There is on the bottom in display settings.
Just a little error report on your clean flash instructions:
1. If you're coming from another ROM or need to perform a clean flash:
Boot into Recovery
Wipe Data/Cache/System
Flash vendor/firmware (Global 11.0.4.0 recommended)
Flash ROM
(Optional) Flash Gapps (not included!)
(Optional) Flash the latest Magisk
Reboot
Enjoy
I deleted Data, cache and system from my device via Orangefox recovery.
Then i restartet to boot in recovery again.
And thats the problem. It looks like my boot partition is now dead. Everytime if i try to boot it just get in fastboot mode.
Flashing recovery via fastboot or try to boot it doesnt work.

The ROM is fantastic, smooth, stable thanks for it.
Wifi is not working on j600g.
random reboots after flasing gapps and while installing apk.

The ROM is very good, fast, stable and is the only one I have the network working.
But I wanted to say a few things.
The first is that the brightness is a bit buggy and the volume is lower compared to the stock ROM, but the main thing is that the second and third versions do not work. After installing the latest version on gdrive (I had neither magisk nor gapps installed) after configuring, when it went to the launcher simply my j6 crashed and restarted by itself and returned to the setup and it always happened repeatedly, I decided to test the second version (29-06) and the same thing happened, but as I was hoping for this ROM I installed the first version and it worked, so much so that I am writing in it right now.
I know it's still in beta, but at this point the ROM looks great. Thanks for doing this rom, I hope for new updates!

I'd reccomend you to use one of the ROMs by Astrako since they work really good and it's almost bugless.

Getting random reboots after flashing gapps.
wifi not working (identifies network but doesnt connect).
Give some advice please, i ported my sim to a non volte carrier to use this rom but this bug wont let me.

For me the Version 1 is the only works without rebooting with gapps, volte doesn't work

Rom works wonderfully and is extremely responsive! it's astonishing how everything moves super fast with no problem at all!
there's just one thing. the camera app constantly freezes, no matter if I use the one bundled with the OS or if I install the GCAM port, it's the same either way.
That's the only issue I've found so far, I hope it can be solved in a future patch!

Same problem here. It's unusable at this point. Performance wise is great, but not stable. Any updates?

Hello, it is really a very nice Rom - thank you!
Unfortunately the encryption doesn't work for me although the official TWRT (twrp-3.7.0_9-0) supports it. (Everyone can see the complete contents of the data partition unencrypted without having to enter the user's Android PIN/password when starting TWRP)
Is there a trick to enable encryption??

The ROM works fine for my device and others. It means the issue is with the tulip builds. If you can't understand that, I don't know what else will make you understand it.
There is some stability issues with this build. I don't know how to do it myself can you please recompile it?
