Question S22 Ultra System UI app - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

I've been optimizing my S22 Ultra SD and it seems a significant amount of CPU utilization is being chewed up by the Android 12 System UI app. What side effects will occur if it is disabled or can it be specifically fined tuned?
Edit: I'm using Nova for my launcher.

I wouldn't disable it if I were you.

You disable or uninstall anything else? It's obviously "looking" for something, not finding it and trying over and over.

Didn't disable or uninstall anything however I trimmed back some of the s pen features (like provide a warning if s en is left behind among others). Got the results I was looking for in spades.
Edit: by turning off the majority of s pen features the System UI app went from the biggest CPU user to the smallest CPU user! Didn't really need them anyway!

I have multiple Spens, so many of those features don't work anyway. Now you gotta do something about DuckDuckGo. HOLY crap, unless of course your job is searching the internet all day!

Love DuckDuckgo - got the new feature that blocks app trackers enabled so it's always running. Best feature ever.

Hello guys!
The Screen On application was a success and we thought it could be a great idea to expand the abilities of this application. We developed a new application called App Auto Settings, that works exactly as the Screen On application but let's you take control not only of the screen, but of WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, GPS and volume!
We have tested the app in as many devices as we could and it works fine, but please try it and report any bugs, suggestions or ideas, we cannot test it in all those mobile phones...

Thx for share.
Not seeing option for GPS on SGSII.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Edit: 20/11/2011
So is this a beta limitation? or a limitation of GB where programs can not call for GPS on without user request like Tasker?
well, that's my bad...
at first, we wanted to take control of the GPS, but unfortunately for security reasons (good in my opinion), Google decided that only the user will be able to enable and disable the GPS, so we removed it from the application.
The screenshot though is old, and I will replace it!
Thank you for noticing it!
OK, I'm confused. No offense, but it is not very intuitive. I just downloaded it, and I cannot tell the difference between Red and Green on the Screen Timeout in the On Charge profile, and either way I set it, the screen timed out! Also, on WiFi and such, what's the difference between Red, Green and the white box? I also don't see my Navigation app.

Anyone else being spammed like hell by XDA right now?

I have never been spammed so much in my life. Every freaking page I open gets this stupid popup. Been going on constantly for the last couple of days.
Anyone else or is it just my [chrome] browser being broken?
I already cleared out all my cookies & cache & everything else but still get this popup on every_freaking_page. STOPPIT. lol
Dell venue spam in pic below. Which btw gets in the way of the quick reply button sometimes.

Have you tried to install AdBlock Plus? It will remove ALL the ads from ALL the webpages. It's a must-have extension
You can download it on adblockplus [dot] org

I had already disabled flash which did the trick, but this looks like a great plugin. Thanks.
We'd like to encourage websites to use straightforward, unobtrusive advertising. That's why we've established strict guidelines to identify acceptable ads, which are shown under default settings. If you still want to block every ad you can disable this in a few seconds.

Sounds fair to me. :good:
Seems to be working also.

CONCEPT What Spotify would look like Tablet-optimized

Got sick and tired of the lack of tablet-optimized apps and was wondering what popular apps would like like if they were optimized, so I decided to make a concept of a Spotify tablet-optimized-app. Made two concepts, because why not. Buttons aren't in the exact same places as they are supposed to be, but it's a concept so that shouldn't matter. Hope you guys like them. And of course I also hope developers start optimizing apps for tablets.

Very nice with a touch of material design. I think you got some inspiration from the gmail app, didn't you?
It's just a matter of whether the spotify devs will really implement something like this.
This looks gorgeous
I'd kill for this. Looks way better than the current UI. Especially now since they removed the tabs in "my music" in the recent update. I have an apk that still has the tabs if anyone is interested. It has a different signature, so it won't update through the play store.

Yes, indeed, I did. Just really hope popular apps will be tablet-optimized in the future. Would kill for apps to look like they belong on the big screen!
And thanks all!

Question How does this storage info make any sense?

how does having a few hundred megabytes equal 8gb? I have debloated this watch and removed a bunch of crap. Wth
This is apparently typical.
The OS/native apps isn't small, some blame Gookill for this
The sad part is I've already removed everything I can from this watch without breaking functionality

Look at the heavy hitters and see if you can find a way to replace them or live without them.
I run very few Google apps, most are enabled on an as needed basis on my N10+'s. Saves 1-2%@hr SOT, and more at night.

Do you notice a permonce improvement or a less consuming behaviour after debloating, or just more space available? I was thinking about to do it but if there's not much differece leaving aside the space, I prefer let things be like they are.

My wife and I both have this same watch and I really wanted to compare them as mine being debloated and hers not. But honestly it's not a noticeable difference battery-wise

will they ever make instagram and facebook smooth on android?

i have been a samsung user for oblivion, now i have note 20. however, i can t help thinking that, instagram and facebook are so friggin smooth on iphone, everything has animations, and smoothness in the transitions, on android, it has barely any animation, entering and exiting aswell, what they dont fix the animations of these apps on android, im seriously contemplating ditching samsung and get an iphone just for the smoothness of their apps and transitions., i ve gotten sick of this man.
Ditch that trashware meaning fb and Instagram.
They should never be installed on an Android.

So u mean, he specifically asks that it s only optimized for iphone?? Meaning he hates android
If the apps provided by Meta are running well on iPhones but not on Androids, then they arent't well coded, IMO.
You may request Meta to provide appropriate remedy.

what meta, the app is not smooth, i mean it s developped for the iphone , that s what i mean, it doesn t have animation and transitions in every aspect, opening photos, opening the menu etc... it s just not smooth on android, both facebook and insta.
