Question All about poco x3 pro bootloader unlock (help post) - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

We all know that we have to wait at least a week to unlock the bootloader on poco x3 pro. This is because the fifrst time you ask for unlock ,you're usually asked to wait a week and then the second time you ask for unlock, it becomes unlocked. And I also know that all the data on the phone is erased when the bootloader is unlocked. Now my question is will all the data of the phone be deleted again when the second time the bootloader is requested to be unlocked? I hope the experts have understood my question.
Thanks ❤

It ONLY wipes data the 2nd time after the 1week wait period.

As far as I know all the data is erased in fastboot mode, when you go to unlock the bootloader for the first time and for the first time your mobile will be unlocked and all the data will be erased. The second time I go to unlock again will be unlocked. My question is that I have to wait for about a week, during this time, when I use my phone, if any kind of data is stored in the phone, will they also be deleted?

just to make sure, before you unlock your bootloader backup all your files same as mine. no problem at all.

when you apply to unlock (the first time) it it will fail,it gonna demand you to wait about a week, you need it to reboot it and use it as usual, dont use xiaomi cleaner app during the wating time.
after the period of wating and try to unlock it (the 2nd time) it will succeded and erase all your data.

Hi guys!
During the waiting time, can I use the phone normally? (screen lock and finger prints, etc.) What should be avoided aside from adding Mi account? And will data on memory card be erased as well when the device has been unlocked or will it be just data on internal storage?

Hi, sorry for asking again. I've got answers for my 2nd and 3rd questions but couldn't find info about screenlock and fingerprints. So it's okay to turn these on during the waiting time, right?

Can anyoen help me to unlock my bootloader.
Thank you.
Make sure when you paste it in that dialog box on the Motorola Site there is no space in between. When you paste it the space appears so just go manually backspacing all the space boxess. Even I had the same problem last night. So don't panic
If you're on 4.4.4 kitkat and you are sure that you typed the code correctly it's not your fault. The exact same thing happened to me. You just have to flash a temporary bootloader, unlock it, and then reflash original bootloader. I would have given the link (its on the motorola forums) but I cannot as XDA won't allow me to (I have less than 10 posts on the site).
Had this problem before. The thread about this issue is in here:

I always see phrases like this with no explanation about what exactly damage could it make to the owner. Who can explain it to me?
There are a lot of services through the web which can give you some information about your phone based on its imei number. So, according to your words this procedure might be dangerous. And I really hardly believe in it.
And what about unlock data. What could fraud do wih it?
P.s.
Ok, I've made some researches and found out that phone could be wired based on imei.

Hi, I just wanted to upgrade my moto G to lollipop , so i flashed the brasil fw, after flashing the firmware , my phone can't boot , it stuck on fastboot mode with a warning showing " version downgrade for boot, failed to validate boot image"

You have reflash what you had on your phone originally then do a hard reset boot up wait 168 hours with out a reboot or turn off and on
Again 168h? ç_ç ok

I got an a8 from amazon from a country outside of spain. I live in spain and my simcard is spanish. Does this mean that i can unlock my phone? Or running my spanish simcard on a spanish network work on a foreign phone model in order to unlock the bootloader?

It works if you didn't messed with CSC yourself, so by editing /efs partition manually.

This is not good my friend, and it must be annoying to wait like endless for oem unlock to show up.
I have experienced the same problem once, the vanishing oem unlock on Oreo binary 3.
But after 7 days it showed up right away, I even didn't had to restart my device.
If you live in Spain and have a spanish simcard you should flash an official filmware of your country but with the same provider of your simcard, like, (example) Spain T-Mobile.
Also log in with your google and Samsung account for the servers to update after the 7 days, then you should get rid of prenormal state and get oem unlock back.
Make sure the simcard network is active, and do not restart your Phone during the 7 days.
k so do you need to have frp lock off in order to start the 7 day timer? i'm locked out of 2 of my a8's that i flashed at the same time. one on binary 2 and the other on 3.. both have no oem unlock. How do i know what firmware my phones originally came with? and when i do that... where do i let them idle for 7 days waiting if i can't get past the google...
Hello
use tutorial that works to perfection with the latest update brk3 (walk with other update too). do not forget to remove the sim card before starting the flash

Flash stock with Odin then reboot to your recovery and do factory reset.
Reboot system and wait 168 hour you may not do any reboots during this time or you have to start over.
Check see if your oem is visible and follow rooting directions.

ok so here's what i picture this looks like... flash stock... reboot to recovery and factory reset... reboot to setup screen where it says "Start" and it just sits there? then after the 168 hours i turn it off and flash combination to see if oem unlock is there? or just restart to download mode and see if it's gone?
Try removing sim card .
When I got this phone I did all of the hacking first then when I was done I put sim card in phone.

Question Unlocking and ReLocking Bootloader

If I relock after flashing the new Rom will the phone be protected again ?
also, has any one else have problems with dark mode ?
Thank you in advance,
Itai.

Those tips are just a confirmation. If you are worried about what it's telling you, then don't unlock bootloader.

Only if you flash your own region stock back. Eg. your device is Indian, then you have to flash back to Indian Rom, then you can relock.
If you relock when having different region Rom, there might cause some problem or even brick your phone.
If you are going to use other region Rom, then do not relock the boot loader.

Some apps don't work , and for some i found that i can disable dark mode and then they work and there text is visible
Anybody please feel free to correct if I'm wrong, but I think what "may damage your device or cause financial loss" is exactly that custom ROM you're flashing, nothing else.

Finger print is not as secure as device with locked bootloader. This is an example of financial loss, eg. loosing the device stolen by strangers. This is what the "find my device" option Google offers for.
Even if you have official MIUI with unlock bootloader, if people steal your device, they can take your personal data with TWRP if they crack the password and finger print.

^ hijacking this.
*** SPOILER: I've found an answer, it's below ***
This is how sorting menu looks like in Youtube Manager Studio for example. Guess it's app-specific but I've encountered couple of them not very happy about dark mode.
(I'm on Xiaomi.eu roms but stock was the same)
Any chance I could tweak it a little somewhere?
EDIT: Found solution! Just enter Settings > Display > More Dark mode options and then just disable dark mode for problematic apps. Ofc it doesn't fix dark mode for them, just removes dark mode from those specific apps, but for me it's okay as a workaround

Hi I'm trying to unlock the bootloader, but when I log in to the Xiaomi Unlock Tool, I never received the verfication code that's supposed to be sent via a text messages to my linked US phone number. Other text messages went through fine so either XIaomi didn't send the code or my carrier (AT&T) blocked it. I tried a few other numbers and none worked. Did you guys need to receive the text message to verify your account when using the Unlock Tool? If yes, did you use a Chinese phone number or something else? A tried 4 different US numbers and none of them could receive Xiaomi sms. Thanks for your help!

Hi! How do I know when it's passed time enough to unlock it? Do I have to verify from time to time on the tool?
Sorry but I must be doing something wrong and different from the way I always did unlock bootloader. In Android 12, With Vol down + power the cell phone enters a different screen "Bootloader" that always allowed unlocking.
mi unlock software does not allow clicking the unlock button, fastboot devices and adb devices commands do not work in this mode.... How to unlock with these changes?

Run the unlock tool again, it will tell you how many hours left. Normally it tells you that 168 hours left at the first successful attempt, it also tells you do not logout miui account or try to login another account on your phone. Just be patient.

I also have T mobile version whose imei is changed. But you can try by putting the original IMEI on OnePlus website at unlock token request, they will process your request. Original IMEI is written at the back of your phone glass if you are using T mobile version. If it's not the T mobile then you don't need that token to unlock bootloader.

Comparing the unlock_code.bin that I have, and yours, they're both different.
You have 2 choices to unlock OP8 TMO variant. Official way ofc is to apply for unlock_code.bin
But also there's a walkaround method which u will have to use MSM Tool to EDL Flash EU fw in your TMO Instantnoodle, and since EU variant is Global, u can easily unlock the bootloader ( but be aware, this method is not going to unlock Network for u if u r still Network locked with TMO )

You can always use the EDL Tool, though I discourage it. I didn't know what I was doing and permanently destroyed my persist.img, though I think everything went wrong before that, and now I'm unable to use my Fingerprint Sensor with no solution (besides possible recalibration) in view.
