Works fine for me on U.S. Unlocked. Try uninstalling and reinstalling?
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried wiping my phone completely and only installing that single app and it still had issues. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, wiped the cache and data and still no dice.

Hello, I have issue with screen casting, it doesn't work, it finds my chromecast, but when I select it it says immediately disconnecting so I cannot mirror my screen (wireless display is enabled). Casting with apps like youtube, photos, etc works perfect. Anyone knows what's the problem ? I'm on stock 4.4.4 rooted, with xposed, latest play services.
Chromecast firmware no is 19084.
Tried rebooting router, rebooting chromecast, rebooting and wiping cache on phone, still the same.
Thanks
I haven't had any issues, but try it with xopsed disabled

I have this same issue, trying to cast screen always disconnects but with youtube and others, chromecast works pretty well.
Have you tried to disable the AP isolation on your router settings? I've tried this because its in google recommendations.
Please let me know if you found a solution.
Using a S4 MINI + Arris TG862 Router. :good:
I have lg smart tv with webos, but when i tap on "cast screen" on my nexus device it won't find my tv. Streaming video via dlna works good. Do you know how to fix this problem?
Viper for Android screws it up. Otherwise go to settings/apps/all. And Google play services and uninstall updates right back to stock. And clear data. And force stop. Then go into an app that requires it's usage and it'll automatically update again sorting out the issues.

I have a G Pro 2 D838 and I've been experiencing a persistent audio lag while watching Netflix, with the audio coming about a second late. This would be a deal-breaker for me, since watching Netflix was one of my main reasons for buying a device with a large display. The lag is very noticeable both with headphones (wired) and the phone's speaker.
I've tried clearing the Netflix app's data, as well as uninstalling the app and re-installing. I even did a complete factory reset. Nada. The problem persists no matter what network I'm on -- WiFi or cellular -- and was not observed on any of the other devices running on the same networks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
fix for gpro2 netflix

I'm in South Korea and I own the G pro 2. I have found that I can use the older version of Netflix and avoid the delayed audio sync issue. Download and install the 1.8.1 apk after a google search.
I don't watch much video so I'm not sure when this started but if I watch a video on youtube, twitch, facebook etc the audio and video do not sync up.
I have tried clearing the cache on apps, uninstalled all updates on the apps, turned off the JBL sound but nothing has fixed this issue. Has anyone else heard of this issue before or had it happen to them?

Whenever I use Poweramp to play music data seems to stop working. Mobile and wifi doesn't work until I reboot. This is a weird issue that i never had with any previous device, and I've been using poweramp for years with numerous devices. That's why i think the phone is the issue, not the app itself. Is this happening to anybody else?
I also use Poweramp and don't have any connectivity issue when playing music. I'm on Havoc OS.
Are you on OxygenOS or an AOSP based custom ROM? which kernel? Does it also happen after a factory reset?

It's so weird. I don't get it. If i play music for longer than a couple of minutes, no data until i reboot. I might have to perform a hard reset
I've started using Player Pro instead and the issue is resolved. Therefore the issue is with Poweramp.
Hello all
I have the (e)xperience, that I always need to restard the phone, before the Netflix app starts without failure. Anyone else this behavior?

No problem with Netflix on my phone.
Delete data and cache and try again.
I'm facing the same issue. Haven't found what's causing it or any workaround to avoid restarting the phone. Deleting data & cache haven't helped. Even reinstalled the app.
I have the same issue not only with Netflix but also with Disney Plus. I think something is messed up with how the phone manages DRM.
I have the exact same issue, and it concerns Netflix, Disney+ and HBO.
same problem here also with p.v and d+, only restart fix the problem temporarily, i noticed also that the cromecast works , so its a minor problem for me because rarely i watch netflix on phone, i hope sony fix this with the next update, its absurde that the app come preinstalled in the phone and works bad ?
Just found the same issue on the first week I was using this phone on early October. I told with the Sony CS and reported this bug to them but they didn't think it's a bug as they told me not so many users reported to them. They won't try to fix this problem....
I had this with the old firmware, with the security patches of August. With the latest firmware, patches of November, I don't have it.
Same annoying problem here with Netflix and Prime Video, even after the firmware update including December patch.
Same problem here. I wasn't even aware of it until reading this thread as I always use a Chromecast.
Same problem here. First time Netflix after restart no problems. After having used the phone for a while and going back to Netflix, videos refuse to start. Red circle keeps spinning, eventually resulting in Netflix error 5.7.
Only a phone restart will fix this. Very annoying.
Any solutions?
I'm having this issue with Netflix as well. Just got the phone, it's on the latest software version. I haven't tried Prime video yet. Not a huge deal, since I only watch videos on my phone when I travel, and well...yeah, that won't be happening for a while. Agree it needs to be fixed.
Dear all - so I am not alone with this problem. (I didn't receive any updates on that threat). Especially, as it is a preinstalled app, Sony should get this work. How can we contact them?

It really is pretty poor having a pre instilled app not working properly.
It looks like I no longer have the issue with Prime, only with Netflix. So it could be an issue with the app itself. Has anyone tried to contact Netlfix support?
For me this is solved since my Xperia 5ii was updated to Android 11.
For me, too, with the update, it is gone!
