Question What is the error when unlocking the bootloader? - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

1. The touchscreen on the phone was replaced with a non-original one.
2. The phone has been unlocked before. Then it was locked. The original firmware does not work with the Chinese touchscreen. So I want to reflash it to LineAge.
3. I use miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24 version to unlock the phone. The other versions give an error.
4. After waiting 162 hours for unlock, got this error "unlock tool please use the common user tool on the official website"
5. Google does not know about this error. What to do?

I had the same problem but with my poco F3 I got: "unlock tool please use the common user tool on the official website", but downloading the version miflash unlock-en 6.5.314.7 solved it and I was able to unlock the bootloader.

Thank you for your reply. That version didn't work for me. I want to try all the versions. Maybe everyone has a different combo.

P.S. Thanks again for the idea! In my case miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.55 worked immediately

mi mix 2s / destroyed because of flashing - NEED HELP PLS?

hello, im new in this forum.
i have a mi mix 2s and i wanted to unlock it. mi unlock tool said: device already unlocked..
so I started the flash tool with a global and I think i forgot to switch from "clean all and lock" to "clean all"
so the phone booted in the recovery and said "this version cant be installed on this device"
now I cant do anything...i tried with
- Xiaomi Tool (doesnt works because of usb debugging isnt enabled)
-xiaomi unlock tool says i have to sign in to my account on the device
-Xiomi flash tool (Erase boot error), i tried the official gloabl and china
-adb mode knows my device but no flashing
A friend says there is now software on it. but i dont know
I CAN go to fastboot and i can go to the recovery 3.0
PLS help me! Thank you so much
Try to flash twrp, do factory reset with encryption. Then flash rom with adb sideload
If you have the XE model (which is the Chinese model) and locked your bootloader after flashing the Global ROM your phone is bricked. The Chinese model can't boot up the Global ROM with a locked bootloader. If that's what you did I don't think there is a solution. You need to unlock the bootloader again but if the unlock tool doesn't work I don't know of another option with these phones.

That's apparently true but there were also at least a half dozen people who contacted Xiaomi Support after reading that and reported that they received no help. They are currently trying to get the name of the specific support person who unlocked the bootloader.
That doesnt Sound good... Where can I get Support? I Used [email protected], is that the right way?

There are threads about this issue on the MIUI Forum. Someone else said today that Xiaomi Support bound his account to his device which allowed him to use the Unlock Tool. It seems to be very hit or miss in regards to getting somebody in support who understands the issue. You should really go to the Xiaomi Forum for the MI Mix 2S. Only Xiaomi can help you and you will get better information there regarding this issue.
I want to flash my Mix 2s from Android P back to Miui 9.5. I purchased the phone with P already installed, does anyone know how I can flash it successfully? I am new at this. my phone says unlocked underneath the xiaomi name when I turn it on so I think its unlocked bootloader? but its not rooted any help would be greatly appreciated

You might be able to fix your issue by flashing the ROM using the MI PC Suite Beta program. That program allows you to flash a ROM when the bootloader is locked but I don't know much about it. Someone in a similar situation as you claimed he got his phone running again using that program.

Using the MI Flash Tool on your computer is probably the easiest way. Download the latest stable ROM if you want to go back to MIUI 9.5. You need the MI Flash version that ends in extension tgz--not the fastboot version which is a zip file. Uncompress the tgz file, put your phone in fastboot mode and connect it to your computer, open the MI Flash Tool on your computer with administrative access. It should detect your phone. If it doesn't I think there is a refresh button. After your phone is detected point the program to the location of the uncompressed ROM folder. Before you flash look at the options at the very bottom. The default will relock your bootloader so you might want to change that. When you hit flash the tool does everything automatically and returns your phone to stock MIUI.
So..... Miui Support says I have to go to the seller....

I Tried lots of Tools, the latest too and it doesnt Work.

hi, any success?

Unable to unlock bootloader using In-depth Test

It says "Failed to submit application" and " This is carrier-customized phone" .
I am using the India version (Realme 5 Pro)
OS: RMX1971_11_A.13
Carrier: N/A (No sim)
Location: Malaysia
I am fine with unofficial method, please let me know if there is any. Tks in advance!
UPDATE:
Apparently unlocking bootloader is OFFICIALLY NOT SUPPORTED for Malaysian version, as seen in the email attached.
If you buy your phone in Malaysia with the intension to flash a custom ROM, you are basically jebaited. 1 year after starting this thread and there is still not a single way, official or unofficial, to unlock the bootloader on Malaysian devices. So, if you are looking to buy a cheap phone to flash a custom ROM on, do yourself a favor and go for Xiaomi instead.
while asking question, you have to elaborate viz version of firmware, country, carrier etc

Hi. May i know were you able to downgrade or solve the carrier problem?
Hi, I'm also having this problem, may I know if you were able to find a solution?
No, downgrading doesn't work. I emailed Realme Support Malaysia and they replied that bootloader unlocking is not supported in Malaysia so I gave up.
With that being said, I did thought up an idea recently . I havent try it personally because I dont have time to do so but it might just work: After you reset your phone, on the set up screen, choose India as your location instead of EU or Malaysia. Then, try unlocking again.
Anybody have nothing better to do please help me try this out and reply if it works or not. Ty
Update: Apparently you cant choose your country on the set-up screen

Redmi 6 with Wrong Region ROM and Locked Bootloader.

I have a Redmi 6 (China version) that was sold to me as a Global edition. So when i updated the ROM much later and didn't unselect Lock Bootloader' it bricked the device.
Ive been reading up for weeks and trying to get it up and running again. I was planning on getting a Chinese ROM onto it then using the official xiaomi tool to unlock the bootloader once i signed into my xiaomi account on the phone.
I pursued the EDL method for sometime before realising it was a Mediatek phone. This week i have been trying to use the Mediatek Bypass to flash an official Chinese rom onto the phone but am getting the following error (see attached screenshot).
Just to clarify im just trying to flash a rom not unlock the bootloader with the mediatek bypass.
Is this possible?
If not are there any other methods i have not seen?
If not i can just give up which will be welcome
Thanks!

The tool is saying you that the firmware you are trying to flash doesn´t match with your device cause the name product was changed by the seller, it doesn´t hurt a try with that firmware.
Also you can try again with the Chinese firmware without flashing vbmeta.

Thanks. Ill give this a try later this evening.
Managed to get android booting by just flashing one file at a time as suggested on another forum. The one part that wouldn't flash was the 'cust' part of the rom.
Thank you still for the suggestions.
Just having problems getting my sim to work in it again. No its n a china rom it wont use my sim.

Question Unlocking the boot loader with XiaoMiToolv2 / no waiting time

This week I should receive my first Xiaomi smartphone, but I am already looking into how to unlock the bootloader. Since I am using Linux, the official unlock tool should not work. I came across XiaoMiToolv2, which should work for the Poco X3 Pro with some modifications: https://github.com/francescotescari/XiaoMiToolV2/issues/23#issuecomment-907744264
I wonder if anyone has already tried to unlock their Poco X3 Pro with XiaoMiToolv2. According to the post on GitHub, there is not even a 7-day waiting period. Can anyone confirm this?

I have never used this tool, but that "feature" is weird: the 7 days restriction is server based, the Xiaomi servers that forces that and do the job, the tools that we run are only a local client, interface.
Unless it does something not official, I mean, using some vulnerability, I don't think so.
There's also profissional/authorized Xiaomi accounts that can unlock with no waiting time, but that is not the case.
The project is also semi abandoned. It is probably unsafe to use it.
The guy that make that afaik trial and error to figure out functionalities of the tool and even the stock recovery, then put together that modded tool. You asked a good question, does it work on Poco X3 Pro? Honestly, I doubt anyone can answer you.
Thank you very much for all your comments. Today, my Xiaomi was delivered. Even though it might be unsafe, I tested XiaoMiToolv2. The tool works, but it showed the message "Please unlock 168 hours later. And do not add your account in MIUI again, otherwise, you will wait from scratch". So unfortunately there is a waiting time, but at least the first part works on Linux with Poco X3 Pro (MIUI Global 12.0.4.0).

Yes, I had no problems. The smartphone still works perfectly to this day. Since I only used XiaoMiToolv2 once, I do not remember the exact process. But the official github repository contains some instructions. If you follow the instructions, there should be no issues.

Question How to root rog 7

I executed some commands, but root did not succeed
fastboot flash boot /path/to/magisk_patched_[random_strings].img
fastboot flash vbmeta --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta.img
I also couldn't achieve root.
I submitted a bug report on github.
IIRC patching init_boot.img is required for A13 devices (not boot.img as it was previously)
Did not succeed
and yes, I tried twice unlocking with the Asus unlock app

It literally tells you that device is locked. Do you get "g.co/ABH" screen during powering on the device?
If so, try in fastbootd ("adb reboot fastboot" or "fastboot reboot fastboot")
That worked
fastboot mode did the trick
Thank you!
download firmware from Asus
unpack the payload with payload-dumper
copy init_boot.img to phone
patch init_boot.img in magisk
copy magisk_patched.img back to PC
reboot phone to fastboot mode (adb reboot fastboot)
flash patched img: fastboot.exe flash init_boot magisk_patched.img
profit!

After doing some research I understand that on the Tencent Version of the phone the sellers unlock and relock Bootloader after changing from CC to WW so they mess up bootloader.
It seems that the only way of unlocking the bootloader is using EDL, which I'm scared to use b/c I don't want to brick my new Rog phone 7 -_-
Can someone with the global version verify that using the unlock tool Asus provides works on their device?

I'm also hoping to get some confirmation because I'm experiencing issues with the Unlock Tool on the zenfone 9, not the ROG phone so I don't think the issue you mentioned above applies in that case. My previous phone was the Zenfone 9, and I unlocked it using the Asus unlock tool that is provided on their website and successfully rooted it.
Are there several editions to the Zenfone like the Rog or is there only a global version?
if there's only a global version that probably means their servers are down.

I've previously had success on the zenfone 9 as well, its only as recent as this week that the bootloader unlock tool is not working. ASUS support has responded saying their servers "were down for maintenance and to try again" but nothing has been fixed up to this point. I'm not sure if it's broken for everyone currently and if they've purposefully disabled it or it's just malfunctioning.

Yep,

Certainly will work with the zenfone 9.
hi anyone need to root his rog phone 7 pleass send me on telegram @aborem89
Converted CN>WW devices will not pass validation on the ASUS servers because the device region fingerprint has been changed and doesn't match. Only known way short off trying through EDL methods is to do a full reverse to CN and try to unlock before converting to WW again. This has been the case with all the previous ROG devices (and probably Zen models too) that I know of...
Can anyone make a step by step video on how to change the rom from cn - ww(global) thank-you

Im starting to get tired of keep trying every few hours to unlock it and get the same error over and over,I need root acces.
