Hello dear members, I would like to ask for your help, I have a p40 that the contacts do not appear on whatsapp and also when I make a call from a previously stored number to this phone, it does not appear registered, but the contacts are on the phone, I already tried everything I found on the web, please help is urgent! thanks friends.
Where do you have your contacts stored in your phone, SIM, Gmail or Huawei ID?
Which partition did you set to show you ??
I stored all the numbers in Huawei ID (for non-GMS Huawei phone) or in Gmail (for GMS Huawei phone).

I encountered a few problems before I can successfully sync the contacts in whatsapp. But now another problem, the whatsapp contacts was split from the original contact already in the database, ie, the system created duplicate contacts which only contain the mobile no. used for whatsapp.

i suppose to have the same problem ! whatsapp not give me a list of all mycontact that i can use with him, only when i make a message or recive a message from a contact it appear on whatsapp contact list !

I hope this will help.
in whatsapp, touch the new message icon on top right hand corner. then touch the menu icon at the bottom of screen. touch the refresh icon.
It will sync the contacts.
as for the duplicates in contacts, i normally delete the ones for whatsapp. as whatsapp will refresh to the original contacts in phone or google account.

i have an issue with contacts
i imported my contacts from an old backup file to my current gmail acc
and also tried to delete all the accounts and sync them from my g mail
the to times i have my accounts and can chosse who to call but whenever i have an incming call the cller id wont show only his no.
i am aware that cm 12 flows this rule

No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
so i save the contacts to my gmail acc but sitll no caller id when i have any incoming call

i'm having trouble with the xiaomi 4 contact list, as you can see i'm having issues with my contact list somehow all my contact list is still there but now showing their number only the whatsapp / wechat details. the phone number is shown only when i klik the whatsapp icon there and cannot make a direct phone call as it will lead me to the whatsapp icon and thus i must add the number to my contact list manually.
worse thing happenned if the contact is not in my whatsapp list and only in wechat / neither of them, the phone number basically just gone.....
this is quite troublesome and it happens whenever i update my MIUI, i don't sync with the mi cloud server.
anyone have any solutions for me that would be nice

I have a big problem with this phone ( NXT - L09 , B152 ), and I do not see a solution .
I have 1,300 contacts , which are located on the " google" .
Viber / Whatsapp contacts very often , for reasons unknown to me , just - disappear . When they disappear (in Viber, there is a message "No Contacts Yet") , of course I am unable to send Viber / Whatsapp message and also when someone sends me a message - I see only the number of the sender or nickname. Very annoying !
I had the same problem with Huawei P8max ( Lollipop ) and Huawei Mate7 ( Lollipop ) .
I must add that I have not had this problem at Huawei Mate7 when I used 4.4.2 ( KitKat ) .
I used a lot of phones , and only on Huawei have this problem.
I love Huawei Mate 8 but this really bothers me .

I'll try. But I'm not optimistic. Why does viber sometimes see contacts and sometimes doesnt? Logically, if there is no permission to access then they are never visible.

Same problem here... C636b170... Sometimes they just disappear....In Whatsapp less so, only 1 or 2 disappear and only the numbers are displayed. But they reappear after a while, same like Viber.
Also when I create a new contact with Viber, they disappear from time to time and get deleted from Google Account also.... Very annoying since I update them usually with tons of extra information in the notes field. When I create contact in Contact Manager directly, it usually sticks... Must be Viber Bug or something...

yes, but for me it was enabled, so you must first disable access to contacts, open viber try to sync ( you'll see that there are no contacts ), than enable contacts access and sync viber again

in my nexus 5, recently all the new contacts are saving to gmail id only.
hence it is not possible to link contacts to whatsapp.
kindly help
