Dual-SIM Dialer and Messaging - General Questions and Answers

Hi all. I just added a second number to my phone (Galaxy S21). This is my first experience with dual sims.
What dialers and texting apps would you recommend for use with two numbers on the same phone?
What I really want is to have two separate apps (or two instances/variants of the same app?) handle the separate numbers. So: have two phone icons on my home screen and two messaging icons on my home screen. One phone icon opens a dialer dedicated to one number. Ditto for text messaging. I can imagine an app that can make this possible by using widgets instead of direct app icons, but I'm not sure that such an app exists.
Appreciate your thoughts.

I'm having problem with the Messages Widget ... This happen to anyone else?

Basically the "Messages" widget is the stock HTC widget for text messages.
My contact's names do not appear where it should as shown in the layout, instead I have their phone numbers preceded by a +.
So instead of seeing "John Doe" I'm seeing "+555-555-5555"
I rooted my Hero, and removed the following apps.
Sprint NFL
Teeter (The game with a ball and maze)
Peep
HTC widget that handles twitter
I think that's it. I would really like for my contact's names to appear in the widget as seeing 9 digits isn't exactly useful to me.
EDIT: While I'm here ... I've been trying to use Better Cut to create a Messages shortcut however when I replace the icon (from an icon pack) it always defaults back to the android Messages icon ... Anyone know why this is happening? If it matters the icon is also being duplicated on the "Home" interface running behind "Sense UI"

[Q] App names: use two lines in home screens?

The stock launcher and GO Launcher squeeze the app names into one line on the home screens.
Alarm & Ti-, Ultimate S-, Wireless Te-, just about each and every app name gets truncated unless it's a very short name. This is really annoying for apps like Google Sk-, Google Ma-, Google Tr-, ... . And if you have a few apps installed with names that start with "Ultimate" (there are hundreds of 'em) their names all look the same on your home screen.
Two lines is enough to display the full name of most apps. The stock launcher and GO use two lines in the app drawer, they just won't do it on the home screens.
Q: Is there a way to force these launchers to use two lines on the home screens too?
There's plenty of space for a second line of text on the home screens. Even with 5 rows of apps the icons are spaced far enough to allow a second line. There just needs to be a way to tell the launchers to use the excess blank space.
If the stock launcher and GO can't do it, then which launchers can?
I know ADW Ex displays the text on two lines - they kind of overlap, but it's completely legible. I would think the free version would too, but I'm not 100% because I haven't used it in forever.

Modifying Contact shortcut

I have added shortcuts on one of my screens to certain contacts for quick easy access. When you select one of these contacts a popup menu displays showing 4 selections. On my particular phone it shows Phone, Skype, Gmail, Contacts. I would like to remove Contacts and add instead Handcent SMS. How would you go about doing this? Or is this even possible?

Stock messaging tweaks

Hey all
i know there are many messaging apps and i use go pro but switched to stock the other day to send a video. After going back to it i like the look of it if i could change a few things. is there anyway to edit the stock app? i.e on the main screen that would display all texts if i could remove the contact head icon and just have name and message that would be cool and if on that same main screen, make the text smaller.

HTC Sense Refugee - Looking for Help with TouchWiz equivalents

As a recent refugee from HTC Sense, there are a couple of features from HTC Sense that I'd love to be able to replicate on the GSIII.
#1 - to help with conference code entry, on HTC Sense if you click on a phone number from an appointment entry, the dialer is displayed with the phone number populated, you click call, and when the call is connected the appointment entry is shown in the space above the number keypad so that you can see the appointment details including conference call codes
#2 - is there an equivalent widget to the 3x3 contact favorites widget included with HTC Sense that allows you to set a default # to dial for the contact and/or display the contact full details?
#3 - can you set homescreen shortcuts to individual mailboxes? i.e., i have 3 different ActiveSync accounts and I like the ability to have a unique shortcut to get to each one (even better is if the shortcut shows the # unred for each mailbox)
#4 - suggestions for a HTC Sense like dialer? the TouchWiz dialer takes more clicks to find contacts than I recall from Sense
Thanks so much for the suggestions.

Don't know all of these, but i think I can make a few recommendations.
For your dialer, I would try a 3rd party one. Some should be a little smarter than the touchwiz one. Search for a dialer in the playstore and try them out.
If you want shortcuts, Nova or apex launcher allows you to make many more customizations than the stock touchwiz launcher. I'm pretty sure you can set specific shortcuts for your mailboxes through them.
Touchwiz definitely has its limitations, those widgets sound pretty cool. I don't know any widgets off the top of my head that are equivalent.
