HTC Sense Refugee - Looking for Help with TouchWiz equivalents - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

As a recent refugee from HTC Sense, there are a couple of features from HTC Sense that I'd love to be able to replicate on the GSIII.
#1 - to help with conference code entry, on HTC Sense if you click on a phone number from an appointment entry, the dialer is displayed with the phone number populated, you click call, and when the call is connected the appointment entry is shown in the space above the number keypad so that you can see the appointment details including conference call codes
#2 - is there an equivalent widget to the 3x3 contact favorites widget included with HTC Sense that allows you to set a default # to dial for the contact and/or display the contact full details?
#3 - can you set homescreen shortcuts to individual mailboxes? i.e., i have 3 different ActiveSync accounts and I like the ability to have a unique shortcut to get to each one (even better is if the shortcut shows the # unred for each mailbox)
#4 - suggestions for a HTC Sense like dialer? the TouchWiz dialer takes more clicks to find contacts than I recall from Sense
Thanks so much for the suggestions.

Don't know all of these, but i think I can make a few recommendations.
For your dialer, I would try a 3rd party one. Some should be a little smarter than the touchwiz one. Search for a dialer in the playstore and try them out.
If you want shortcuts, Nova or apex launcher allows you to make many more customizations than the stock touchwiz launcher. I'm pretty sure you can set specific shortcuts for your mailboxes through them.
Touchwiz definitely has its limitations, those widgets sound pretty cool. I don't know any widgets off the top of my head that are equivalent.

I'm having problem with the Messages Widget ... This happen to anyone else?

Basically the "Messages" widget is the stock HTC widget for text messages.
My contact's names do not appear where it should as shown in the layout, instead I have their phone numbers preceded by a +.
So instead of seeing "John Doe" I'm seeing "+555-555-5555"
I rooted my Hero, and removed the following apps.
Sprint NFL
Teeter (The game with a ball and maze)
Peep
HTC widget that handles twitter
I think that's it. I would really like for my contact's names to appear in the widget as seeing 9 digits isn't exactly useful to me.
EDIT: While I'm here ... I've been trying to use Better Cut to create a Messages shortcut however when I replace the icon (from an icon pack) it always defaults back to the android Messages icon ... Anyone know why this is happening? If it matters the icon is also being duplicated on the "Home" interface running behind "Sense UI"
No one else?

Favorites dialer Widget (simeler to HTC Hero (Request)

I'm looking for a widget similer to the HTC Hero Widget that has contact favorites in a vertical line with the ability to scroll up and down the list is more than what is displayed..
in the mean time, I'll look for a screen shot of it.

Scrolling widgets require Rosie, they're not workable under vanilla Android like the N1.
Why don't you just add a starred folder of your favorites to the desktop, it does basically the same thing.
thats what i have done.
but does "rosie" exist on hero and not on nexus one, they are both running android and both are HTC. is it something devoloped for the sense UI

htc people widget

Hi guys,
I just got froyo on my desire, so no htc sense for me, which is not such an issue as i didn't really use any of the htc sense stuff, except people widget. Now, I can't seem to find a similar replacement on the market.
Does anyone know of a simple people widget that works the same way as the htc one?
Cheers
you wont find anything as pretty as the sense widgets but if your looking just for the function try contacts sidebar it works for me
i just tried contacts sidebar, and its good but it only has 4 contacts. Does anyone know of a widget where I can choose a "group" of contacts such as "favorites (starred)" and it shows them in a list. I don't really care if the contacts are scrollable like the htc people widget, as long as I can show more than 4 and i can scroll through them with an arrow or something like that.
Also, it would be nice if i can just choose the starred contacts and not have to select contacts manually.

People/contact widget. Type Sagrebin in the marketplace. They have a free trial and a paid widgets. Exact copy
actually i found this app called speeddialer. pretty much everything i was looking for. its a 1x4 widget and you can add as many contacts as you like. only downside is that it will ONLY do the default action for that contact, which is more than good enough for me right now
thanks all for your replies.

Calendar and dialing from calendar entry

Is it possible to dial from the calendar entry. Sense UI highlights the number and allows you to click on it and dial. Anything like that available?

AOSP ICS 'Sense' Widgets?

Wondering if someone can help suggest some widgets that offer 'Sense-like' function for an AOSP ROM. I'm experimenting with Virtuous Quattro, but miss certain features, these three for example:
'Friend Stream' integrated Facebook/Twitter widget
'People' avatar dialer (I like the 3x4 display of icons only)
News widget
Clock w/ weather
Thanks in advance!

Try Android Pro widgets. That is about the best there is
Fancy widget for the Sense/weather experience.
Friendstream widget -> Friendcaster
HTC Clock and Weather -> GoWeather
Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
Regarding AP widgets, I tried the free version, but it seems to default to the mobile number, rather than the one that I'd prefer to use. For example, on any given contact you can select the default action (view card, send message... whatever) but you can't select which NUMBER to use if a contact has multiple phone numbers. Am I just not using it right???
Never mind... figured it out after buying the paid version.
Also, one other request - how would you synchronize contacts with Outlook on the desktop? I never really trusted Google with personal information, and now that they've changed the privacy policy, I trust them even less.
Thanks!
I'm sure they have all of your information regardless. LOL. Seriously.

If you're using an android phone Google probably already knows your mothers maiden name, your blood type and has the rights to your firstborn child. Its OK though, because all they want do to is get you to watch YouTube ads. Isn't technology fun?
