htc people widget - Android Apps and Games

Hi guys,
I just got froyo on my desire, so no htc sense for me, which is not such an issue as i didn't really use any of the htc sense stuff, except people widget. Now, I can't seem to find a similar replacement on the market.
Does anyone know of a simple people widget that works the same way as the htc one?
Cheers

you wont find anything as pretty as the sense widgets but if your looking just for the function try contacts sidebar it works for me

i just tried contacts sidebar, and its good but it only has 4 contacts. Does anyone know of a widget where I can choose a "group" of contacts such as "favorites (starred)" and it shows them in a list. I don't really care if the contacts are scrollable like the htc people widget, as long as I can show more than 4 and i can scroll through them with an arrow or something like that.
Also, it would be nice if i can just choose the starred contacts and not have to select contacts manually.

People/contact widget. Type Sagrebin in the marketplace. They have a free trial and a paid widgets. Exact copy

actually i found this app called speeddialer. pretty much everything i was looking for. its a 1x4 widget and you can add as many contacts as you like. only downside is that it will ONLY do the default action for that contact, which is more than good enough for me right now
thanks all for your replies.

(REQ) contacts widget similar to sense

Can somebody point me in the direction of a contact widget like that in sense UI? I've probably downloaded about 15 different widgets and none of them have what I'm looking for. Id like to find one that pulls the contacts photo from Facebook, preferably a scrollable widget. Any ideas?
Search for Scrollable ContactWidget in the market. Or buy the plus version of Launcher Pro.
But not sure whether they would be able to grab contacts and pics from facebook.
Launcherpro Plus is the way to go. He always has good updates and he has been adding alot of widgets that if you didnt know were HTC's. Well worth the money.

Scrollable contact widget for 1.6 (using ADW)?

Hey guys, do you know a scrollable contact widget that works with 1.6? i'm thinking of something like pure messenger, only for contacts.
I know that we'll get eclair soon, but i still wanna knows if there exists something like that. I'm using adw launcher, which is capable of scrolling widgets.
Talking of 2.1, can you tell me a good scrollable contact widget for that? If i'm not wrong, launcher pro (plus?) brings one built in, right?
Cheers

Nope, 2.1 upwards only.
Not that kind you search, but with Launcher-X Pro you can create widgets, at least with contacts (, apps & shortcuts).
For example you can create a widget where you can see up to 7 contacts.
By pressing a button in the widget you can turn to next side of the widget, where are the next 7 contacts.
In every widget you create you can add up to 72 contacts (apps or shortcuts).
Launcher-X Pro is availible in Market in 2 Versions (free & paid)
At the second screen from my phone you can see one of the widgets with my most used contacts. (pictures are pixelized)

Just have a look and try the free version of that app.
I like it.
Thanks for your answers!
I'm already using launcher-x pro, and i really like it for having my most used apps etc at hand.
But scrolling/swiping like in the pure messenger widget is just more intuitive since i don't have to precisely push a button. sounds stupid, i know, but it really makes things easier
I wonder why no one is creating a widget like this, pure messenger already shows that it's possible when you have a capable launcher. and ADW is easily one of the most used launchers out there Or is there another limitation when we're speaking about contacts instead of messages? Probably we're just obsolete fossils with our donut
Thanks anyway for your advices!
Cheers

Ive tried to look for a widget like that too, but had no luck. The best thing you can do is wait for 2.1 to come and then install LauncherPro Plus.. You'll get a scrollable people widget, much like the htc's contact widget.

Alright thx. I'm still not sure if i'll switch to Launcher Pro since i love ADW so far, but we'll see ^^

You can use GDE home and it has built in task bar and additional 4x1 dock that can add any place. you can add any shortcut or contact and change icon and rename each the way you want in both dock and task bars. whats more is that you can add any number of icons and scroll both ways. Check it out.

i posted this in your other thread too:
Pure Grid calendar widget
very customizable, size, tons of themes, and when you click it, it takes you too your google calender ect.. i use it.
its only like $2 in the market, make sure its the grid one, not just the one that says calender.
I was looking for one as well, dug through a few and finally settled on Agenda Widget.
Best one
the best one - for me is - jorte - i tryed many apps - http://androinica.com/2010/04/16/jorte-is-a-promising-android-calendar-replacement-app-reviews/
+1 for Pure Grid Calendar Widget
I am using LauncherPro Plus calendar widget, otherwise Android Agenda Widget is the best for me
I tried a few this past weekend, also looking for a good free one. i ended up settling on CalWdiget. Fairly customizable & seems pretty solid so far.
just my personal preference/opinion..
I suppose I'll vote for Android Agenda Widget, even though this whole thread shouldn't even be here...
Agenda Widget
Big fan of agenda widget, free, fast, simple and customizable.
Calendar Pad.
The weekview is, for me, great. There are also numerous widgets with it, including fullscreen ones, other sized ones and (the one I use) a single button widget (showing date) which will take you to your preferred view (weekview for me).
And it's free

[Q] Jorte Widget Q

Hey Guys
I LOVE Jorte - one of my fave apps by a mile.
But the Widgets aren't showing up in my Widget list. I have them ticked in the app - to show them - and have rebooted, but to no avail.
Any ideas? I'm desperate to see what the Agenda Widgets look like.
HTC Desire, non-rooted, Launcher Pro Plus.
Thanks ya'll x
SD Card
Do you have the app stored on the SD card? If so that is probably the problem. You need to move it to internal storage. Most apps with widget seem to have this problem.
Ah! You're a star. Don't know why my fuzzy head didn't think of that!
Cheers

Hey!
I realy like this Jorte app, but recently i noticed big bug in it! It automatically put time one hour back if you are using google cal.!
Can anyone help me fix this?
Thank you!
Hi.
Can someone recommend me a widget to use with jorte so my next calendar entry's show on the homescreen? I like the smooth calendar widget but for some reason it doesnt sync with the jorte app, it will only show the next entry if it stored on the android calendar app ( and i already have set up what calendar app i want to use and that the widget should open, but still nothing) and so i was trying to find something similar to the smooth calendar widget because i don't like the jorte widgets.
Thanks

[REQUEST] Calendar App + Widget

I have recently changed my ROM to MIUI and it's awesome minus the calendar app.
And i've been tediously installing and testing different calendar apps to find one that fits my needs.
I love the looks of Pure Grid Calendar's 4x4 XL widget. But i hate that i have to use a different app to manage my calendars.
So i'm looking for an app that will have a widget similar to Pure Grid's, but has the capability to edit my calendar events, and even switch what type of calendar it is associated with.
And if that doesn't make sense then i will try to explain it a little better....
I have 2 calendars that i use "BILLS" and "PAID BILLS"
Pretty obvious what their purpose is.
The stock HTC Calendar on the EVO had the ability for me to change my task/event from BILLS to PAID BILLS.
Any help is appreciated.
