Question Issue with Android 12 bubbles : not available for many apps (only found on stock messaging app, Slack and Telegram classic) - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Hi everyone, I encounter an issue which I think is due to OneUI 4 and Android 12. Here's the thing.
I bought the S22 Ultra which is my very first Samsung over Android 10 (my last one was a Note 9 which latest firmware is OneUI 2.5 on official version) and one of the features I was waiting for with this Android upgrade is the conversation bubbles, a very good feature to me. I'm able to enable this feature for stock messaging app and Slack, but this option does not exist on Messenger, WhatsApp/Business, Skype, Telegram X (I had to switch to Telegram classic for now) and Discord (maybe much more, but I don't use lots of instant messaging apps). I tried an ADB command to enable the bubble feature system-wide, but it's not working either.
I did the good thing I think to enable bubbles, which is going to "Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Floating notifications > Bubbles" then on the apps it's working on I went to "[App] > Notifications > Notification category > Bubble display ("Affichage sous forme de bulles" in french) > All".
Does someone of you have an idea of what's happening ? Am I doing something wrong ? Is there a misconfigured setting ? Is there something missing since OneUI4 ?
Have a nice day
Livier

No idea. I only use messages and messenger. The latter used to work as well, even on my pixel 4xl. When I got the 6 pro then now the ultra, chat heads within messenger is what I have to use now. I'm pretty sure it's an A12 issue.

Well, all your apps do a good job giving Android users an iOS interface; however, many Android users prefer the look of Android.
For what your apps aim to do, they do great, but for what people want, they do not always serve that purpose.
the concept is great. But i think you must do more to improve your app. The dialer and call screen dont look exactly like iOS and i think it's somewhat ugly. Swipe gesture to answer or reject incoming call is better than push button to answer. Plus the search bar in contact screen does not stay on top when i swipe down. And i think if you could add the option to change default call screen background that would be great.

Is there another lockscreen-replacement similar to iOS-lockscreen (like CMLocker)?

Hello,
I'd like to get the iOS lockscreen notifications on my S7 edge and I tried multiple lockscreens.
However CMLocker was the best so far but I don't really like Cheetah Mobile.
Is there a iOS-like lockscreen with the following features?
- notifications like iOS (e.g. show every Whatsapp-message as own notification without having to expand it to read the message)
- PIN-Security
- Fingerprint-Support OR Bypass lock if trusted device (in my case Huawei-Watch) is connected to the device
Already tried many apps and all of them had their problems:
- XZ live locker (overwrites notifications if you receive multiple ones and doesn't have one of the bypass-features)
- ZUI Locker-Elegant (no bypass-features for PIN)
- Hi Locker (don't know the reason anymore)
- Next Lockscreen (would be perfect but also overwrites the old message if you get multiple messages from the same person on Whatsapp)
- Echo Lock-Screen (don't know the reason anymore)
- SlideLock Locker (would be perfect, but also no security bypass like fingerprint or trusted device)
- NiLS Lock Screen Notifications (it's no lockscreen replacement, but the notifications re-appear after removing them)
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Nestade
Try goodlock from the galaxy store, it expands messages on swipe down, it's heaps customisable, and allows NC bluring similar to apples..
Additionally it also fixes a few security flaws.
And Lastly uses less battery!! Woohoo
If i could post photos, i would, but you can set custom widgets as clocks, and change the colour of the entire NC centre, it's the best.

Sorry to hear that OP - there maybe a shorter character restriction for some non native applications that im not too sure about.

[Discussion] Huawei P9 biggest flaws

After using the phone for a month, here are my biggest problems with the device.
1. No Double tap to wake up, or even Raise to wake up. With the fingerprint on the back, and the small power button on the side it's really hard to wake up the phone just to check your notifications.
2. Notifications not working sometimes for some apps. Multiple reports for Viber and other apps even after giving permission to work on the background and show on the lock screen still not working.
3. No notification badge for all apps. Just for couple. As ex iPhone user this is great that some apps have it, but it would be better all apps to support it.
4. Notes doesn't sync with Google account. Big problem. On my iPhone it was so nice that all my notes were showing on the Notes app. Even when I had Galaxy Note 2 and 3 this was available.
5. No Reminders app. Okay they are trying to mimic the iOS experience, how they could forget about Reminders app? Now is so annoying to add a simple reminder. You need to go to Calendars app, make event, from there make it reminder... It's easier to use Google search and add it there by voice. But the tone for Google search is very weak and it's easy to miss the notification.
6. I would like more Themes. The catalog is pretty poor. Especially now for holidays it would be great more themes. And for kids too (Off-topic: Please make Frozen (movie) theme and upload it to the theme store, kids will love it).
7. Right now no Night mode. Hope they will add this with Update.
8. Stock Apps are not uploaded in Google Store. Huawei is still lacking in this area. Most OEMs are uploading all their apps for faster and easier updates. Now we need a new firmware if there is something broken/missing.
9. Huawei keyboard - this is connected to 7. It's outdated and missing a lot emojis. Had to switch to Google keyboard. For some reason Huawei keyboard makes less mistakes when typing and less mistakes when swyping. And instead of those ugly Blobs/robots emojis to change them to iOS/Samsung style. With those blobs most of the time you don't know what they express.. At least this is a big problem for me.
10. I wish the OS would use iOS/Samsung style emoji. Samsung phones see them like the one here on XDA, now even if you get text from iPhone, they show up as blobs.. Really hate this. Even developers are adding iOS style emojis in the android apps - Watsapp, Facebook messenger and others...
11. I don't know how it's called, Huawei assistant that finds your phone or makes calls. Too restricted. Here should be "Add reminder", "Wake up" simple command to wake up the screen. This is a good solution for number 1 from the list here.
12. No way to turn off the Haptic Feedback. This is really annoying! I don't like it, don't want it and not being able to get rid of it is a big problem.
I think this is all I don't like right now. If something comes up I will add it.
So, what about you?
P.S: If you want something or have problem with something please report it with Huawei Product & Technical Support Here.
I can only count 4 issues preventing this phone to be perfect for my needs:
1. Double tap to wake
2. No option to increase vibration
3. No option to hide nav buttons in certain applications
4. Image stabilization

There is image stabilization - Stabilizer from the settings. It will crop a little the frame but works pretty good

1- use "wave to unlock" working very well

3- you can if you have root
4- software image stabilization is here already

1. Valid (u could root and get xposed)
2. Valid (i think there are xposed modules for this no idea. havent rooted myself)
3. Valid (but u could get nova launcher or sth)
4. No idea about this one, dont personally use notes
5. I think this is a minor problem, nothing major tbh
6. There are plenty of emui themes on the interwebz
7. idk which version you have but I have night mode in mine (non rooted stock). You just go to do not disturb and u can set evening times
8. Valid (but u could root and disable and then use google apps)
9. Keyboard is minor problem. plenty of choices on google play store that blow this crappy stock keyboard out the water i.e. google keyboard, swype, swiftkey (personally i use google)
10. (same as 6)You can get themes for that on xda and interwebz that change icons (if you use huawei home. Also, nova launcher etc. can change icons)
11. I wouldnt use huawei assistant to begin with. But thats your own personal opinion. (google now is way better)
12. Um again, idk what version you have but i can turn off haptic feedback (as in vibrations). Settings -> Sound -> Vibrate on touch.
ofc this is your personal list but rooting or following some of my suggestions could easily fix most of this. Also, in the next nougat update which will prob come around december or the very latest january, i think notifications are fixed. Ofc, they might add more settings as the beta build is beta and things can easily change as long as huawei wants to.

Chronological notifications on Oxygen OS 11?

Frustrated former iPhone user here. How can I get my notifications on my One Plus to display in chronological order with the most recent at top? This is the simple default in iOS yet I can't figure it out on Android. I'm missing important text messages because I will have notifications from 6 to 8 hours ago on top of my notifications list!

CoverScreen OS IN ACTION:

SNAPS OF Z FLIP 3 RUNNING CoverScreen OS (Waiting for physical access to Z Flip 4 for fresh photos):
THE ORIGIN STORY:Been working on this project since the original Z Flip, but unfortunately had to suspend development due to cracked screen (that countless folding/unfolding while testing.)

The release of Z Flip 3 with a bigger cover screen was enough incentive for me to be excited about the project once again but unfortunately I again hit a bottleneck as the screen started bleeding this streak of green light right at the center and sometimes whole of second half.
Fearing a cracked screen once again, I had suspended the development yet again… but… that cute little cover screen… here we are.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM:
DOWNLOAD:After thousands of unfolding/unfolding, happy to announce that, beta version of CoverScreen OS is now available for open testing on Google Play store!

I used it on my flip 4 but ran into an issue with an app I use for work (3CX) it shuts the vibrating notification off after 1st vibrate and it goes silent. Had to uninstall in the meantime. Other than that I loved all the options and being able to open apps without having to open the phone.

Hi there! I am glad you like the features.
Regarding your specific use case, I am not sure if I can try the App (3CX,) does it allow a public account? Did you enable the VoIP Caller ID for 3CX by turning on 'Universal Caller ID'? If so, that would be the likely cause of it, as supporting Caller ID for unknown Apps is 'experimental' at the moment. If you disable it, you should have no problem with your specific use case, let me know how it goes!

I remember when all the coverscreen launchers originally started you had to delete the Samsung Health app to install, is this still the case???? It would be awful nice to know before reading any further or bothering with the download and installation as I refuse to delete Samsung Health. Do you have to delete the Samsung Health app to install? Yes or No?

Hi !
I've installed CSOS on my Z Flip 4 and I can't manage to use widgets...
I swipe from right to left as explained in the tutorial but it keeps showing samsung widgets.
EDIT : This issue is resolved in the latest version (100+)
The text written with keyboard (or voice dictation) does not appear in text field in gmail app.
But for the subject field, it is OK.
For SMS, with native samsung app, when text is written, the keyboard disappear so SMS can be sent -> OK
With google message app, as long as cursor is in the text field, the keyboard keeps appearing, even if text as been written and confirmed, the keyboard appears again and again... Text cannot be sent.
Otherwise, super great app, makes the z flip 4 a lot better !
I wish i can get the full version with unlock features but the high price and bugs stops me...

Hi! This is the original and first implementation, that discovered a clean way to display over cover screen of Z Flip phones. CoverScreen OS never required any dirty hacks involving uninstallation of other Apps or anything similar to that.
The hacky ones out there had come to full stop at development, it's CoverScreen OS which finally showed a real way to display over cover screen, added universal ability to add any widget and a ton load of other features.

Looking forward to trying, but not a fan of subscription fees. Thanks for inventing it.

Hi there! To be honest, the existing pricing already is very hard to sustain the development efforts, because only a very tiny fraction actually contribute to the project and this is so niche that the small set contributors actually is really tiny. That being said, you can always email me, I might be able to do something for you!
BTW, even the most plain phone case for our Z Flip series costs more than the base lifetime subscription to CoverScreen OS, and here we are talking about a software that is continuously updated (released over 117+ versions so far) and enhances the experience of our $1000+ phone.

Hi there! Check out the latest version, it has now a one tap widget addition interface, directly from cover screen.
GMail text field - noted.
The keyboard has two options to enter field, one is a simple 'enter' and another is 'enter & send' (the send icon.) If one of them doesn't work, the other one should, try it out!
