General S22 Ultra Snapdragon also has problems - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Just like the Exynos version that has display problems when QHD resolution is activated, the Snapdragon version also has problems, as shown in the video below:
As can be seen in the video, when QHD resolution is enabled, there are issues regarding the wallpaper rendering and also the main screen presentation.

I don't see this issue on mine. I can't replicate it.

Set in QHD, set displey mode on Natural, set fixed Hz in 120hz and try it.
Idk if the software is the same on all Snapdragon versions, but here it is S908EXXU1AVA7. Taking a look at the US version, the firmware is ...AVA6

Yep, tried that, still works ok for me, no glitches.

From the shine on the screen I'd have to guess capacitive touch. Pretty sweet looking. Hopefully they'll make a qwerty version a'la Diamond/Diamond Pro
HTC Touch
Very nice looking device.
I wonder how long before we get something like this with a lower power usage OLED Touch display. (or does it already exist?)

Tap the screen to show inside Ambient display

Is Tap the screen to show coming to Oneplus 6? It's Oneplus 6T feature under Ambient Display.

So far it looks like we get a lot of the 6T's new features. I'm guessing we will get this as well in a later update.

MTCE PX5 4GB 64GB Single DIN LCD Display Fault - Hardware Issue?

I recently purchased the device stated in the title. For reference, here is a stock photo and some others:

Sadly, there is an issue with the front LCD. It shows the time correctly, and text such as "MP3" when opening the music app. However, anything else causes weird behaviour. For example, adjusting the volume level, and displaying tracking information. You can just about see what should be there, but many other segments are also active.
Here is a video of the issue: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AhrnbqpWLWvmjJwc-s4biI0t4rQWFQ?e=KuN0g9
I have tried a few different MCU versions (all "LM", but not all of them work, some stop the front panel from functioning).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might fix the display issue, or perhaps knows whether it is a hardware issue or not?

Is there a way to replace the default Samsung phone app with a different version?

I bought the Galaxy S21 in the US and was very disappointed to find out that it had limited functionality than variants sold elsewhere (like dual sim and built-in call recording). Is there a way to replace the US version of the phone app with the non-US version so that I can have call recording functionality?
Left: US Phone app
Right: Non-US Phone app

Welcome to XDA
An interesting question. Was thinking the same thing if it was possible on a stock Samsung.
Thinking about but no plans of doing... the stock apk is a little glitchy but overall works well and consumes little battery.
Switching to dark mode be an improvement for you. You can also easily change its appearance with free Galaxy Store themes.
What issues are you experiencing?

Samsung Note 20 Ultra 1440p/120Hz

Hey!
So the note 20 ultra has 1440p and 120hz but you cant use them together, having to use one or the other

When i think about it, the only time 1440p would be nice to use is when your watching content like youtube or netflix and when your watching videos, your not *usually* doing anything else so the extra refresh rate isnt that useful while watching videos.
I know that the refresh rate is adaptive but is their any way to make the screen quality adaptive as well? Like have it be 120Hz/1080P normally but when watching content it switches to 1440p/60Hz? I know samsung has the "video enhancer" option but couldnt find any setting for what I was talking about so I thought maybe theres a 3rd party way of achieving this?
Thanks!!
Galaxy Max Hz is what you're looking for.
