General GW4 46mm won't vibrate for silent notifications - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Hi,
I changed my Garmin Vivo Active HR for the GW4 46mm. Everything is fine except for not being able to get the watch to vibrate for phone notifications when the notifying app is set to silent notifications. It works perfectly with the Garmin watch, but not with the GW4.
Is there a fix/workaround for this limitation?
The connected phone is a Galaxy S9+ running the latest official firmware (Android 10).
Thanks!

Try the settings in the watch itself.

Couldn't find any relevant setting in the watch.
Can you describe which setting could be relevant?

Notification while charging

I tried a search, but can't seem to find anything. Is there anyway to continue to receive notifications (text message as example) while the watch is on charger? I have a verizon 3g gear s2. Phone calls still work, but no notification (vibration or sound) on incoming texts while the watch is on the charger cradle. I've factory reset the watch, to see if it was a glitch, but it acts the same. The text messages (and phone calls) were to my primary number that's set to forward to my watch number. I'm using the stock Samsung messenger on phone, s6 edge plus, and watch. All notifications work flawlessly while watch is not on the charger.
Any help is much appreciated.

I've had the same issue since I bought mine in Novemeber. At first it bothered me but I've learned to deal with it.

Samsung Gear S3 does not display selected notifications and Phone opens by itself

Hi,
I have the Samsung Gear S3 Classic paired with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I noticed two things in my Gear:
1. One is that I am not receiving all notifications in my watch. These include Text Messages, Messenger and Facebook. I read in one forum to reset the Gear. I followed advice but I still get the same problem.
2. Two is that whenever I receive calls, the watch will vibrate, sound, and my phone automatically takes the call. Is there a setting such that my phone would not automatically receive the call?
I will very much appreciate your advice on this.
Thanks,
Noel

Gear S3 Classic and phone directed towatch

H!
All the call I make or receive are directed to my watch instead of the phone (Huawei G7 stock).
I've already tried to remove the audio profile from the BT settings on my phoneonly to get the watch disconnected.
How can I fix this annoyng "bug" (I thinks is not a feature )?

Samsung Gear Notifications issue

Hello,
So, i'm running China Rom, paired to a Gear Sport, and i receive 2 times the same notification on my smartwatch, 1 of this 2 notifications there is no details (just de name of the app), and the other notification, there is the full notification with texts... very borring
Anyone use a samsung watch with a China Nex?

Question about Gear Wear: Currently using Gear S3 as Standalone device for teen son.

Current Setup: I bought a S3 Frontier LTE for my 13 year old son as a standalone device and it works perfect! I am only paying about $13 for his independent number on a sub-account with Verizon.
Question: I gave him my old S5 with no service to pair and install Gear Wear to add apps, watch faces, etc. When paired, his watch does not receive texts or emails so he can't leave it paired with the phone. Is there a way "around" that so he can keep them paired? He would like to receive Instagram notifications, etc. on his watch which he can't get when it isn't paired.
Thanks!
Phone has no service, so it wouldn't receive SMS and wouldn't send a notification to the watch. If he's set the phone up for emails it should send notifications to the watch when in a wifi zone.
Notifications need to be set up on the phone app.
I would think if you set the watch for mobile network to be always on it should be able to be connected to both a phone using bluetooth and its standalone number via mobile network. I think that will make it behave as you want it too.
However big drawback is going to be terrible battery life if you do that.
I would suggest trying to download the verizon messenger app on the phone and seeing if you can get the messages from the gear to sync to that, if I remember correctly it just requires a verification text which you should be able to from the watch. If that works you can enable notifications for that app on the watch, but he won't be able to send messages from it he'd have to use the phone or unpair/turn off bluetooth to do it from the watch (he would get the notification on the watch and maybe be able to read the message in the notification I'm not sure how it would behave). As the previous poster said set up the email on the phone and it will sync to the watch over bluetooth. All that will only work (assuming it does) when that phone is connected to wifi and paired with the watch.
I hope it helps let me know.
