I installed a glass screen protector. Did not notice this line when screen is off. With bright sunlight or a flash light. I can see this line. Want to know if defect in screen. I have not removed glass cause don't want to leave it naked. Receiving screen protector tomorrow so will remove to confirm. Has anyone seen similar issues?
Take off your screen protector and look again

I continue to have problems with screen protectors. So, considering going bare and then if I get scratches either adding a protector or buying a replacement screen.
Question is have you scratched the glass then added a protector? If so, did it make the scratch totally invisible? Did you use a wet or dry protector?
Yes, I have. I have a lot of scratches on my screen. Only one of them is deep, the others are light, but are really visable when tilting the phone at an angle.
I applied a screen protector and now all of the scratches are not visable, all but the one deep one, and even then it's not as noticeable as before.

i feel bad for your phone bro.
I had a couple of scratches on my MT4G and installed a phantomskinz "wet" application screen protector and the scratches did not show after. Just take your time on installation. Best screen protector IMHO.
hi, i bought this dry apply screen protector for my galaxy nexus and it causes the white color to glow (it's hard to explain it looks like after you touch your screen with moist hands). the rest of the colors seems just fine.
why is this happening, and what screen protector do you recommend?
thanks,
dvir.
edit:"this dry apply screen protector" can't link to the ebay page since i haven't written 8 posts yet. it's a simple 1USD screen protector.
I use my phone as a GPS/speedometer on my motorcycle a lot. The way it's mounted keeps the phone under my tinted windscreen during parts of the day.
Other parts of the day, the phone is occasionally hit by direct sunlight.
I hate screen protectors.
Are there any dry screen protectors that can easily be put on/removed over and over, that also reduces sun glare and makes it easier to see the screen in direct sunlight?
I used to have a screen protector a while back that was "okay" in sunlight. But it was a wet application screen protector. I don't want to use a screen protector at any time other than when I'm riding.
Any suggestions?
Hi all, just a quick post to let you guys know my experience with a matte screen protector i bought.
The reason i bought this one was because of the fast and free 2-day delivery just because i needed one. I got 5 very small scratches on the curved side of my screen and i was surprised about how fast it scratched compared to my S2 which has been in the same pockets.
So the main issue with this screen protector is that the screen got a bit blurry but worst of all: i see some kind of buzz going all over my screen, like when its wet. I can see red, blue and green pixels, mainly red and green though, only blue when i look carefully.
Maybe its because its a bad and cheap screen protector or because of the high density of pixels on the note 4, i dont really care as it is only a temporary screen protector but its very very very annoying.

I've tried to capture a photo but it was not visible so i cant show it to you guys.
The problems you described were actually the characteristics of a Matte Screen Protector.. I can't technically explain it to you as I dont know how it is made, but thats how it is.
Yeah I was just gonna say, all matte screen protectors look like that. Nothing new here lol.
I using one now and ordered the anker ones should be here soon. The benefits of no fingerprints and no reflection are good.
Something tells me "smartphonehoesjes.nl" isn't going to be the best of all websites to buy a screen protector (even though it means cover in Dutch), maybe that's just me. Get a tempered glass screen protector, it's worked great for me. I have MIME Ghost Glass. Not cheap though.
That's simply how matte screen protectors work. You have not received a defective product.
I bought this phone with a broken screen, glass itself was not broken, only screen under it. Anyway, I went ahead and ordered a replacement and install went fine. All works but touch sensitivity is not so good, is it common with these cheap replacement screens, or could it be a poor quality glass screen protector, that came with the screen and I put it on right away?
This was the screen I got, I had to use alcogol to clear out the honor logo, they had painted (!?) it with black paint. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Huawei-Honor-8-LCD-Display-Touch-Screen-Digitizer-Assembly-Replacement-Film-Free/182917269530?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=690229245057&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
It could be the screen protector, I've had them with other phones and the sensitively was affected. That would be the easiest thing to check, and the cheapest.
You can try to activate the glove mode if it doesn't work after removing the screen protector. The glove mode increases the sensitivity.
