If you know there is a way to flash the OTA and keep twrp+root and that you don't need Magisk, why are you asking for help here?
P.S.: Want to point us to your source of information? I'm sure just about everybody in this forum would be excited to know how.

Flash the ota and then boot to fastboot. And flash this boot image.
fastboot flash boot boot-v9-root24.img
Also can do it in recovery or partition manager off play store. Here's a copy of the app to.
The img works on OS 11s and 12s. I dual boot so it's a orangefox twrp with a magisk 24.x. and probably not the original kernel because OS 12 and some rom11s don't work well with stock kernels. Anyways hope this helps

Which version of TWRP bluespark?

I just currently got the latest ota and let it install and I installed magisk from the manager by choosing to install to inactive partition after ota. That worked flawlessly and was able to keep root. But I lost TWRP of course. I was using the official TWRP. I've been noticing everyone going to TWRP bluespark recovery. But which one do I download??? From what I understand there is a version for oos android 8 Oreo and a version for oos android 9 pie. I'm on official oos pie. So which one do I need?

Just take the latest official TWRP and you are fine. Trust me.

Thank you. But still would like to know if I decide to use bluespark version.
Sure. If you want to use Blu Spark TWRP use this one twrp-3.2.3-x_blu_spark_v9.86_op6
IMG and zip files are here https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=27466#downloads
You can use TWRP official or Blu Spark TWRP. What ever you like. Blu Spark is recommended for people coming from oos beta to stable

May I ask what the difference is?
Just to add a note to you for next ota.
After ota is installed go to magisk manager
Press download
Search for twrp a/b
Install (don't reboot)
Now go to main screen and press install
Choose to inactive slot (after ota)
This way you keep both twrp and root
Happy flashing

Thanks a lot for uploading this! I managed to flash it and root my device but now the wifi isn't working. I cleared the cache with TWRP but that didn't resolve the issue. Flashing back the original boot image made the wifi work again.

ok, perhaps it depends on BA (EU) or AA (global) ROM version? however you can boot the rooted one, install a downloaded version of magisk20 via magisk manager to patch your own kernel directly.

I flashed the 4.14.117-perf+.img that you uploaded and then I booted in TWRP and flashed my original stock boot image. While still in TWRP, I flashed the zip of Magisk and then I rebooted. That got it working. So I'm rooted now. Thanks for sending me the image. I appreciate it!

Can you explain to me how important a magisk boot patched is? Did you leave Pie for 10? What's the procedure?

I was rooted on 10.0 and then I upgraded to 10.0.1
There is a procedure for upgrading to 10.0.1 and still keeping root. I wasn't aware of this and after I got the update, I restarted my device and ended up without root access.
A Magisk patched boot image is important for getting your device rooted.
If you're asking for the procedure to root your device, then you can follow this link which explains it, https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-android-10-twrp-t3964131

OnePlus 7 pro oos 11 beta 1 TWRP and root

Hello everyone.
I was wondering if anyone has found a work around to get a custom recovery to work on the oos 11 beta one for op7p gm1917.
I've tried msm tool and have working TWRP untill I install ops 11.
Once I install the beta 1 and TWRP booting to recovery is stuck in a flashing TWRP logo. Only way to recover from this is to flash stock boot image.
I do have root as I patched the stock boot.img with magisk 8.0.4 then flashed the boot image with fastboot.
If anyone could help me get this TWRP up and running I would definitely appreciate it.
Thank you...

Thanks, buddy.
You guys can flash a zip of twrp like orangefox dual boot. Right after the ota in twrp. With a pen drive to get twrp in OS11. No need to actually use a dualboot its just a really nice build I use it.
Anyone tried this method? https://www.droidwin.com/update-oneplus-to-android-11-oxygenos-11-via-twrp-without-losing-root/

There's ways to pull the boot.img using adb/fastboot commands once your bootloader is unlocked. Then all you have to do is patch it using Magisk and flash it in fastboot.

My bootloader has been unlocked! But I don't know how to extract it to boot.img
You don't specifically need the T-Mobile boot.img to root your phone. Get the boot.img from this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-oneplus-9.4253651/page-4#post-84874313
Install the Magisk App on your phone
Reboot into fastboot
fastboot boot boot11244AAmagisk.img
Once your phone boots, open the Magisk app
Ignore any message about it needing to setup
Install Magisk with a direct install
Reboot and now your phone should be rooted
I've tested this on my one T-Mobile OnePlus 9 and it works perfectly, even passing SafetyNet

I am curious, when we get an incremental update from T-mobile, we will be able to apply the update if we pass Safety net or it's not related?

No, T-mobile doesn't allow update if bootloader unlocked. has nothing to do with safetynet. If you look in system after unlocking your bootloader and rebooting you will see system update no longer avail.

I'm on android 11 but hardware version says 13
Is there any reason to use the boot.img over just twrp flashing magisk? Seems a little complicated to me and also there's no boot.ing for the kb2007
If TWRP wasn't available, then patching boot and then flashing is the only way to root.
What do you mean by "hardware version is 13"? Screenshot?
Yeah I'm on 11 nvm.
Do u know where I can find patched boot.img for the tmobile kb2007 model if twrp don't work?
And if it does I can just flash the magisk zip and be rooted
