I've wanted to install a custom rom on my galaxy note 10 (n970f) for a long time.
I was very surprised when I switched to the download_mode .. everything in chinese or what do I know what kind of hyroclyphs they are ..
is that normal ..? or can you change that or where does that come from?
And the 2nd question right afterwards... I've tried several times to install a custom rom.. first unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp.. installed the custom rom.. deleted memory ect.. restarted.. but no matter what I do .. I only ever get a bootloop
could someone help me please ?
would be really nice ... if it were a German who could explain it to me it would be huge .. I'm not quite the youngest anymore

can anyone help? i try and test it every day.. but it doesn't work anymore.. i can't get a custom rom installed with odin and twrp anymore.. unfortunately! always just bootloop

I recently acquired a Xperia X8 and tried to install a CFW, but i have some issues
So far, as i understood, i'm on android 2.1 root, using xrecovery, my baseband is 015, build 2.1.1.A.0.16, the cell is the international version ( not the american one ).
I tried to install FroyoBread v023b and i also tried the GingerDX v017, following closely the guides, and no matter what i try, i end up always stucked at the logo ( either froyobread or i don't remember what is written on the second one ). My x8 simply freeze at these logos, and i finally go again to the xrecovery menu, restoring my backup and am still on 2.1 root.
If anyone have an idea of where i did wrong and how to make me install finally one of these roms, it'd be really nice =)

hy my friend.i have also xperia x8 and after i lnstalled xrecovery,i installed cyanogen mode 7 and everything were ok.....try to install this first and then install gigner dx....i hope this helps u!!!!

I tried to install the GingerDX v017, I install rom manager and when I try to install CWM there is not X8 on phone list.
I sucesfully install Fdxperience with xrecovery and restore to 2.1...
Help me with Rom manager, CWM and GingerDX v017please!

Well, i tried to redownload the rom and install it in case i could have a problem with the file i downloaded ( i doubted of it but who knows u_u ), same problem. i still am freezing at the froyobread logo

I tried just now with another rom, installed using the recovery system, and weirdly, its the same, i freeze at the logo Hackdroid this time...
If I install GingerDX v13 with xrecovery, is it possible to upgrade it to v17 without CWM?

ok i found out the problem... it was the µSD that was causing issues... i removed it, i booted... then i partitionned it a second time ( maybe the ext 2 part was a bit too big and made crash the FW first launch, who knows )

8 hours ago me and my best friend (the owner of the gt540) had the idea to root his phone and install a custom rom.I have rooted my optimus2x several timesand i thought that it would be easier than it seemd to be.he'sphone had a factory problem.It couldn't connect to play store.so i downloaded the r4 and rooted he's phone.this is when the problems started.i installed clockworkmod but when i rebooted it booted normally.no clockworkmod recovery.so i followed some guides about have it done and finally i had to install an orange staf from france or england....(i do not remember).then i wiped data /factory reset and clear dalvik cashe and every rom i tried to install said fail status 7.i tried cyanogen , oxygen and more.now i can go cwm but when i let it boot normally it gets stuck at orange.please gime a solution cause tomorrow he is flying to Cyprus to college and he has to have at least a working phone there.uf anyone wants more than answer and can chat with me,i can tell you my Skype so that solution can be found much faster!!!thank you for your tine!!!!

well guys,i do not know what to say.....after several reboots it booted normally and unrooted.......i rooted the device from the start,all over and everything is ready....i do not know how it happened....
As the title says i have problems installing custom rom on my android phone.
First time i installed a custom rom was 4 months ago and at that time, it worked ! I installed CM7 and it worked with a few small bugs but now i found a better version of cm7 and i tried to install serveral times and it didn't worked.

What steps i followed:
1. I rooted the phone with superoneclick v2.3.3 and it was ok
2. I installed ClockWork Recovery from android market and flash recovery (v5.0.2.8)
3. I selected a custom rom to install and until here it was fine.
So, the phone has rebooted himself and the installing of cm7 began ...
And from here start the problem: After installing, on the screen remains the writing ANDROID like in the picture from the attachement. (the picture is made in paint)
So what is the problem,what i've done wrong ?
This is not the first time i install a custom rom,i know how to install but i don't know what is the problem now ...

Now my problem : why it will not start ? It goes to vibrate , and will remain for hours at the Sony Ericsson logo are available and not go on , I have been waiting for 1.5-2 hours and repeatedly have taken out the battery , etc. I 'm not even so in the CWM .
Does anyone have a better guide for the whole thing ?

What rom are you trying to flash?you might have missed a step on flashing the rom, might need to do it all again.
my guess: have you flashed the correct kernel(if needed)?

I dont know wich kernel i have flahed i only know that i try to flash Feralab Rom And Remics-UX
And both oft them are not Working when i try To flash another kernel the screen of my phone is than blank screen it works not the SE logo dont
comes.
I have rooted , unlocked the bootloader , flash the kernel i dont think that i habe missed a Stap.
The kernels Name dont know it like U20....

I own galaxy s4 i9505, had stock firmware i9505xxugnh7 on kitkat, then installed custom rom and after a month decided to go back to my stock firmware. since im pretty new in this world i spent a lot time on these forums, but nothing helped me. Downloaded the same firmware, then newer etc, tried to instal via odin, every time says fail., and when try to turn on the phone says firmware upgrade encountered an issue.
dont know what to do anymore. if someone with more experience can help me, step by step, would be really really grateful.. losing hope here.
