LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project, with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub organization. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel, or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:

How is it working? Is it stable? What's not working?

I'm using this and so far I didn't experience anything that don't work. However, it only works with NikGApps, if you want Google Play Services. And there are no OTA updates.
I also experienced problems with the manual update from the recovery. It broke my phone every time I tried. A factory reset needs after every update but it also erases all the data and the NikGApps.

Been using this ROM for weeks and so far it's been 99% functional. The only issue I had was for some reason the SMS permission for Google App Services did not turn on for a while until I finished setting other apps up. I'm afraid I don't know what made the permission turn on properly in the end sorry! Although it could well be the GApp distro had issues and not the custom ROM itself.
As for stability though, it's very stable. I'm using the l3113 model. Highly recommend to others! Good work OP, I've made a donation as a token of appreciation.

Message edited due to bad Google translation (sorry for the inconvenience):
Hi, thanks for your great work, @LuK1337. I installed the ROM on March 27 on my i4113 and it works GREAT.
1. Today I saw that there is a new update on Android File Host, but the OTA update is not available, can it be installed without problems using Lineage Recovery?
2. What new changes will there be in this ROM on April 2-6? I had several problems to unlock, install TWRP, etc., on Xperia; So I don't know if it's worth me to update. (In my opinion, the Xperia is difficult to modify, not like a Xiaomi).
3. When will OTA updates be available? (If it will be available).
Thank you very much.

@LuK1337

更新完成后读不出sim卡 换卡也无效:哭:

Does the calls recording (both sides) work?

Hello thanks a lot for your work! I just tested the 20220426 build and everything works really well except one thing: I don't have mobile data on my french SIM card (Orange provider).
The latest 18.1 build from 20220412 works really well (so that's what I'm using right now) so I think there is something wrong on the 19 build.

Thank you. If I try to make a signed build on Debian 11 I get the following error:
Code:

The problem still persists with new Rom updates.

Edit:
As the phone with 19.1 is extremly lagging, I went back to the latest 18.1 build, and with this: no lagging, and the sim cards are recognized and connected immediately.

Nice rom! Thank You!

Update: seems everything working correct except sound inside video recorder in camera, it did not record sound correctly! Hope it get fixed soon.

I think you would have to set your APN settings in the phone to the ones provided by Orange. This is easily done in the Settings app (inside the "Network and internet" submenu).

Is the problem present in alternative camera applications (from F-Droid or Google Play) also?
By the way, this is a great ROM & lots of thanks to @LuK1337 !

Have a Sony Xperia 10 (I3123). After installing latest build for Kirin, I have data connection, but can not make calls. After dialing number, phone attempts to call, and then drops immediately without call being made. Have checked APN numerous times and settings are correct. IMS registration will not complete. Have tried on both GSM and CDMA networks. Both work on Stock Firmware. Have I missed something?

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ THIS
This is a ROM built from source and not a GSI!
Fix Camera stretch & force close for some camera apps
You can do it editing /vendor/build.prop file using MiXplorer (you’ll need ROOT).
Search for the line “vendor.camera.hal1.packagelist”
After the = are the name of different apps. Delete one of these and put the package name of the app that you want to fix. For example, com.facebook.orca is the Facebook package name.
Per default, the ROM comes with Whatsapp, ZOOM, Snapchat and Instagram added. Maximum 4 Apps are allowed in this line and must be separated by comma ",".
If you don’t understand, open this link to see visual steps.
Fix Camera stuck
Sometimes, the camera can get inaccessible if an app was failed. If it happen, follow this:
Install this app. Open it and tap "Kill camera", then give it ROOT permissions. Done! Camera is working again.
Take in mind that if the camera is broken and you didn't do this, the audio in calls maybe not work.
GCam
This ROM can run GCam. Download a modded version for Exynos HERE. Thanks to Leonardo Estacio for his mod.
Games: this ROM works so good for gaming and can run ARM64 apps/games. If you feel lags, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver and performance > Performance Profile and set it to High Performance.
For close, i want to give a huge thanks to @Astrako - Without him this ROM haven't be possible <3

Try using orangefox recovery. Also, if you are flashing from stock, wipe internal storage as well.

Installation instructions :
Be sure to have installed latest TWRP recovery (you can find it in downloads) and latest Android Lollipop (5.0.2 for matisse, 5.1.1 for millet) firmware
Download the latest build and GApps (ARM, 10.0, I advice pico package) - if you'll go to wipe even internal storage, put them on a microSD or an USB OTG, or copy them after wiping it
Boot to recovery mode
Wipe > Advanced wipe > Select system, data, cache and dalvik/art cache (and, if you want to clean more, select even internal storage, which deletes all the content in /sdcard) and do swipe to wipe. When it finishes, go to home page
Install > select ROM zip file > swipe to flash and, when it finished, go to home page
Do the same thing to flash GApps
Reboot > System
Update instructions :
Be sure to have installed latest TWRP build
Download the latest build
Boot to recovery mode
Install > select ROM zip file > swipe to flash and, when it finished, go to home page
Reboot > System
Known issues :
Magnetic cover doesn't trigger magnetic sensor (it works, but it's too little sensible).
Some randomic minor issues with YouTube app (sometimes, after skipping ads in a video, you'll get just a grey screen - close and reopen video to fix the issue)
Some randomic issues with bluetooth MAC address (bluetooth app crashes always). To fix this, you need to get (take note!) the address by going to stock ROM and getting that from Settings > About tablet menu. Then, come back to LineageOS 17.1 and rewrite the file /efs/bluetooth/bt_addr by using root permissions and a root file explorer, or by using adb push/pull, better in TWRP.
5 GHz WiFi networks between channels 149 and 161 are invisible to the Tab
In matisse3g and millet3g SIM isn't working

The internal speaker of the phone does not work and even if I connect with bluethhot of the headphones I do not hear the voice but only the system sounds.
Ok, Camera and zoom.

Thanks for the feedback. I removed the dot about camera issues for millet. About sound, I need a logcat and you should be good to explain me when you did what in the logcat. I advice you to enable seconds in the status bar, so you can precisely point to that second of events. All these issues should be fixable with some edits in the mixer paths, but before I touch something, I need a logcat with precise indications.
thanks for the build. Will be sure to take a look at it.
Good job, a perfect ROM, very stable... no issue at this time...
Successfully installed on SM-T532 with GApps pico. I first tried to install without GApps and it ended up with some apps randomly crashing. After my second install with pico, everything runs as expected for now. Thanks!
SM-T330: excellent. No problems to install, everything works, including camera, bluetooth, and wifi. Very responsive and fluid experience. Thank you so much for this ROM (and the lineage 16 as well)!
New build of LOS17.1 with 2021-05 security patches is online!
Changelog:
- May 2021 security patches
- Little fix to power profile
- Drop Adreno RenderScript blobs (https://github.com/TheMuppets/propr...mmit/b360ae6f58414911861ba2d736a56744b9622df5)
- Some more kernel patches included
- Reduced kernel size by removing some useless stuff - now Lineage recovery can be built without having size issues
I even uploaded 17.1 lineage recovery, since you can use fastbootd there too. It could be useful to flash .img recovery files if you choose to install it. It's just a little advice. Do what you want then.
matteo0026 I've been trying to download from androidfilehost the file lineage-17.1-20210513-UNOFFICIAL-matissewifi.zip since yesterday but it's impossible, OOPS! no mirrors found.
Is there another download alternative?
Regards, and thanks for your work.

No download alternatives, but I contacted Androidfilehost support to ask why of this problem, since I have been able to reproduce the issue in the download page. And this issue is present in all variants in LOS 17.1, not just matissewifi. At least, LOS 16 has at least 1 mirror per build. Probably the infrastructure is really slow to make copies to the various servers.
I tried downloading 17.1 for my SM-T530NU and had the same issue. I'll wait for the download on AFH.
Thanks and keep up the great work matteo.
I was right, it was a problem of androidfilehost. Now the builds are downloadable with all the mirrors.
thank you alot for the LOS 17.1. I updated my T335 with TWRP to latest and flashed LOS17.1 and pico gapps, only wiping cache, davlik. It works really well. Even camera takes fotos. Here no freese as in LOS16. LOS17 is a bit less snappy compared to LOS16, but camera is important for me. Thank you Mateo, very nice that you maintain the tab 4.
I installed 17.1 on my SM-T530NU. No issues so far. 17.1 feels more responsive on the tablet than 16.
Thanks for the great rom Matteo.
I installed 17.1 on my SM-T531. It works perfectly. With this new firmware, my tablet got a new life. Everything is fine, but the GPS doesn't work with this ROM. It worked with the factory firmware, but I don't want to roll back to it. Is there a way to fix GPS?
Thank you for the great ROM, Mateo

It works, but it takes a lot of time to do a 3d fix. Tested. And you have to test the gps outdoor. Probably it can be improved, but I don't know how.
Thanks for your attention to my problem, Matteo. I tested it for several hours outdoors today. Unfortunately, the GPS does not work at all. I watched it in the GPS test app, the tablet can't find any satellite. It worked properly earlier with the factory 5.02 ROM. I'm still looking for a way to fix it in your great firmware.

Ok. I'll test it better in 17.1 too. In 16, I'm 100% sure that it works.

@jim-cz try this file (that you have to extract from the zip file). Put it in /system/etc.

Yes, same here... I am building Android 11 (last amazing version IMO) for my Xperia 5 at the moment, I dont know how to port LineageOS 18.1 but I am building a SODP AOSP ROM atm.
May I ask if the system cannot be updated, have you deleted anything to keep the data?
I am facing issue with SIM2. only one sim is detected at a time.. Any help?

Can you try to run these commands and let me know if that fixes it? You'll need to enable "Rooted debugging" in developer options before running these commands. FYI
Code:
adb root
adb remount
adb shell "curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LineageOS/android_device_sony_nile-common/6aa83e6e8cc00638004bbb3eca6eb347b16e1bbb/rootdir/etc/init.qcom.rc -o /vendor/etc/init/hw/init.qcom.rc"
adb reboot

This section is for updating LineageOS. You must have your device connected to your computer to do this.
To update to newer builds of LineageOS 19.1, follow these steps (assuming you're already on LineageOS 19.1 or updating from LineageOS 19.0):
Reboot to recovery.
Write down which slot you are currently on somewhere. You will need it in case the update does not boot correctly.
Go to Apply Update > Apply from ADB, and use "adb sideload" to flash the newer build of LineageOS.
If you installed Gapps or Magisk or any type of addon previously, go to Advanced > Reboot to recovery. Otherwise, select "Reboot system now".
Go to Apply Update > Apply from ADB, and flash your modules the same way you flashed LineageOS.
When you are done, select "Reboot system now".
If an update does not boot, follow these steps:
Reboot to bootloader. This can be done with "adb reboot bootloader".
From there, use "fastboot --set-active=<slot>", replacing <slot> with the slot you were on previously.
Reboot to system. You can just select "START" with the volume buttons and confirm by pressing the Power button.
Greetings, this build work very well, dev in future you can add advanced reboot?
Thank you!

Was gonna wait till second build. I'm gonna flash now tonight.
Does this have the issue on the T-Mobile model where it will show two sim slots, both empty? Or is that problem specific to OOS 12?
Thanks!
Just a curiosity, in launcher settings, it does not put the Google feed, to the left of the display, it does not exist.
Should this be installed ontop of the latest OOS11 or OOS12 image?

OOS 11
Out of curiosity, what is the reason you need to be on OxygenOS 11 for this to be installed? Has something changed internally that conflicts with installing this ROM?
Just got a strange behaviour of brightness becoming mad

Its based on the proprietary blobs from the latest OOS11 release.
This means that while its possible for it to be installed ontop of any other OOS release, there may exist bugs/incompatibility issues when you use something other than what the lineage build is based on.
hi everybody. I found an error. the sound in the speaker is wheezing at maximum volume, is there any solution?
