Question Rom GSI Samsung Z Flip3 - Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

Hello everyone, has anyone tested installing a GSI ROM to see how the device behaves?
I'm about to venture if no one has been able to test it, it really is a beautiful team but the software is an anchor for the equipment it has, I'm about to test under Pixel Experience.
I got used to using TWRP, but at the moment there is not for this model, does anyone have the necessary process and files for the snapdragon 888?
Thanks

Any luck?

lolinet mirrors - firmware, software, iso etc.
lolinet mirrors - powered by h5ai
mirrors.lolinet.com
Among other GSI could not install it on the device, I can not connect it in fastboot mode without TWRP, I would need it.
Any developer who can give me a hand, I'm on vacation available to test.
I have tried to create ROM .tar to pass it with ODIN but it does not allow me to do it either, which I have been able to do with the S10e before.
Anyway, some experienced developer lets me know and we do tests.
Thank you and excuse my English.

I've tried running the lineage gsi via DSU loader but I get kicked to recovery on reboot.

Twrp?

the same is not only the GSI, apparently it would be necessary to pass the vbmeta.img through Odin

Sad to hear that with powerful processors...

I did tests with DSU and the start of two GSIs worked excellent, one of efran pixel and another generic, I mention that my computer is rooted, the only thing is that when I close the lid it blocks completely the screen stops turning on, I'm for testing with Android 12L, which is more intended for folding to see how it turns out, but hey, at least this is the closest thing to a custom ROM. Works data, calls, playstore, all basic functions with Pixel GSI efran ROM.

Hi Carlos. I want to thank you for what you're doing. Because of how long you've been with this pre-alpha effort. Our lovely Zflip 3 is a wonderful phone, although we don't have a twrp for it yet, we don't have a custom rom for it. It may be because no one is interested in the development we used to have anymore, or because development efforts are becoming more challenging. No matter what the reason, here you are trying to create something.I don't have that knowledge that you seem to have. Please don't give up.

Hello, rather they are new compilations, the one that has worked almost excellent for me is:
https://github.com/ponces/treble_build_pe/releases
The only serious detail is that the equipment stops turning on the screen when it is closed.

BVB3?

It's sad to know that there are no ROM developers for this device but if there is someone who develops applications for the external screen and it costs 100$...
Just a personal comment...
So far the Android 12 Pixel Experience GSI works almost everything, I can't keep the screen active when I close the device, I hope that with the Android 12.1 update this fault can be solved, which would be more oriented to folding devices.
I'll be reporting the progress.

I'm not sure if this is what the OP was talking about but... PixelExperience 10.0 BETA GSI is there. (I'm pretty sure Redmi Note 6 Pro is ARM64 A)
I tried flashing it and but it wouldn't boot, I was using cDroid so I probably need to go back to Xiaomi.eu rom because Cdroid patched vendor... at least I think that is what this guide says I should do and it says to flash Fixzygote_v2 too so I'mg to try it and see if I can get it working.
EDIT: Ok I flashed the PixelExperience 10.0 BETA GSI in TWRP and then Fixzygote_v2 and it booted to setup. I tried to restore my phone from google cloud and after I entered my pin it wouldn't advance so I rebooted the phone. After it rebooted I was able to restore my google cloud backup, no need to flash Gapp and so far the the bugs I've found is the Camera doesn't work and Wifi is doesn't always work... keeps crashing.
Now that I know Fixzygote_v2 is needed I'm goign to try out some Android Q GSI's.

I found https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/gsi/ but haven't flashed any yet I am still downloading them, Seems like Camera and Wifi isn't working on any of the Android 10 roms I've tried so far.
I guess if I get lucky and find one that works I'll share in the questions&answer section if nobody else had yet..
Every single GSI I tried was either too buggy or too big to install.
I went back to Xiaomi.eu because even crDroid had minor bugs that annoyed me.

[App][Root] Bootiful - Set custom Boot Animations for Android 10 / 11 (requires Magisk)

Hey everyone,
so one of my friends was trying to figure out how to set a custom animation on Android 11. The apps which were avaiable on the playstore didnt work anymore starting from android 10, so we decided to create our own app. (Also sorry, this is my first post here ^^)
Requirements:
- Have your smartphone rooted with Magisk
To use the app pick one of the 200+ animations (more to be added, and eventually a custom upload feature coming too...) and install it like any other module. Thats it!
LINK (Google Playstore) >> Bootiful - Custom Bootanimations in Android 10+

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Known Issues:
- Doesnt support QMG (Samsung Bootanimation) as of now (we are working on that)
- MI A3 doesnt override boot animation https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...d-10-11-requires-magisk.4238141/post-84557499
Thanks, but it did not work on Mi A3 Android 11. The modules install correctly, but the default bootanimation is always there when restarting.
By the way, it would be good to have an option to backup the original bootanimation.

In theory, as long as Magisk runs on your phone, it should work. Since Im a student, i dont have that many devices to test (just a new One Plus) and therefore I cant assure it.
There are probably some issues still hidden and getting to know them is the most important step to fix them, so testing it on various devices would do us a great job ^^

No. Custom roms here are free and will always will be unless said by a maintainer and I have never seen a paid custom rom. Some roms want you to pay to lock bootloader like Jaguar ROM and Pixel Experience, you can lock bootloader depending on your device but thats pretty much it for the paying stuff and that's it

Anyone noticing the volume in call is just really really loud at minimum volume with the ROM? Even on speaker phone or in ear, it's just way too loud.
I have been using this rom for about 4 days and its been very dependable all around. Only problem for me is that Dolby Atmos doesnt seem to work. I am unrooted and use no mods. Anyone with the same issue?

Question OOS13 Open Beta 1 is out.

I installed it. Seems fine so far. Nice that OnePlus is rolling it out so quickly. I bet they are wanting to put the dumpster fire that was OOS12 behind them ASAP.

There is no dual SIM bug when using the official global firmware on an LE2115. T-Mobile devices will probably still have it.
Can root/magisk still be used for the OOS Dual Sim patch for T-Mobile devices?

Technically it says carrier phones which would normally mean that unlocked ones would work and that isn't the case, it's all Verizon.

He's right and I read it correctly. Why I continued with update .Says the Verizon variant which there isn't one. Only way the developers thought to communicate with us. Meaning Verizon sim. Won't read CDMA_less/Volte (voice over lte) yet.

UPDATED FOR April 21st 2023
I am not affiliated with the official Evolution-X team.
link to kernel source: https://github.com/psybernetiq/kernel_google_redbull_tiramisu-pixel
my other repos for the device and vendor are there as well.
downloads:
EvolutionX-13 - Google Drive
drive.google.com
flash the vendor_boot img. Then adb sideload the zip file in recovery.
Notes:
BACKUP YOUR DATA FOR THIS BUILD. YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO RESET YOUR DEVICE TO FLASH THS ROM. SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCE.
I make reference to 9.9.9.9 (quad9 dns) rather than 1.1.1.1 (cloud flare) to 1 part in the code under bionic/libc/dns/net/getaddrinfo.c.
I added bromite webview support (does not require you to be rooted)
I added a flag called TARGET_IS_PIXEL_5 := true so that this device gets a hit to make persist.sys.disable_rescue=true. Without this, the device will boot but then reboot to recovery within ~10seconds.
I did not add wireguard support to the kernel this time. Let me know if you want me to add it back in.
passes safety net
The screen on my pixel 5 cracked back in March and I got a Pixel 7 Pro. I still have the pixel 5, though, and I tested this rom on the device before uploading and sharing here.
The March update was super late coming from Google, and the Evolution-X team was making a bunch of changes during this time (and they still are.) So consider this release an off-cycle release.
I was also having trouble building the ROM for a few weeks due to my laptop's RAM (32GB) being fried but not really making it clear to me that that was the problem. I had been using Qubes as my OS but have since gone back to good 'old Linux Mint. I liked Qubes but it's kinda a pain to constantly fuss with allocating the USB drives and I suspect the constant use of my 32GB of RAM to run all the virtual machines therein contributed to the premature death of my RAM cards (~1 yr old).
I build this ROM in the same tree as for my Pixel 7 Pro, so I should continue to make updates going forward for the Pixel 5. I'm planning on adding the Pixel 3XL and OG Pixel ("sailfish") as well, since I own all those phones, too.
Due to this trouble with my PC, the pathways to my keys (the ones you can see in /system/etc/security/otacerts.zip, you can see it includes the entire pathway where the keys are actually located in my PC) changed and I think that's why you have to clear data on this ROM. I'm also using a different Github repo now, too, as part of a rebranding process I'm doing.
Enjoy!
Can we flash this on top of your unbound rom without a factory reset?

If the worst that could happen is having to factory reset and start over if it doesn't work then I'll give it a shot.

Please, cann you try bt headphone volume? On prew build was litlebit low.
got some freezes here and there when adjusting quick settings and had to reboot, but all in all seems to be a nice rom.
only thing i'm missing are advanced navbar settings like "force close active app when holding back-button"
also "connectivity thermal power manager" apparently draws way to much battery
@aleph.mercury I really do enjoy this rom but is there any chance that we can get Now Playing working on this ROM? I tried to enable it through the settings and it does nothing.

I want to say that I tried to install it on the unbound evolution x rom and it didn't work I ended up in a bootloop, have you tried it on this rom yet
Edit: It works on this rom
seems that "connectivity thermal power manager" and "com.android.hbmsvmanager" are drawing way to much power. together they drew like 50% and i had to recharge my phone midday, which usually never happens
