Stuck at bootloop - General Questions and Answers

What should i do

You'll have much better luck if you include relevant details - device model, Android version, firmware you're using, and what you were trying to do when you encountered the issue.
You can use the Manufacturers link at the top of the page to find the OEM for your device; you should then be able to find the subforum for your specific device model. It helps to ask relevant questions where everyone else is talking about the same thing.

Samsung j5 prime Android 8 after installing twrp recovery when i rebooted my device it stuck at bootloop.
My device is not.
Should i install custom recovery??

TWRP is a Custom Recovery.

Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Can you still boot to recovery? If so you can try the normal wipes in recovery and reboot, you can restore a nandroid backup if you ever made one, you can download another custom ROM for your model and try flashing it.
If none of that works and you can boot to download mode, you can flash the stock firmware, most Samsung firmwares are available at Sammobile.com and at samsung-updates.com, you will have to use your exact model number(located behind the battery), get the firmware for your exact model, it doesn't have to be 4.1.2, any firmware version will work as long as it is for your exact model number, it cannot be for another model number. If you want to root after restoring the stock firmware then you need to check if the firmware you find is rootable before you flash it, some are not rootable depending on your device.
When I search your model number on XDA, it comes up that your device is compatible with the T-Mobile custom ROMs, see if you can find one for download that doesn't have a dead link and flash it through recovery if you can get to recovery, dont forget ot get the right gapps to go with the ROM you find if you decide to go that route. The ROMs can be found in the forum linked below.

[Completed] Where may I download firmware for the T-Mobile Galaxy Core Prime?

Hello,
I have an FRP lock on my Galaxy Core Prime due to trying to root it with King Root (I really don't know what happened, but I did not OEM unlock first, so I am taking the blame). I read that I may fix this by flashing the system image in Odin while the phone is in download mode. However, I have been unable to find a system image from a... reputable source.
The two websites I have found images on are Samsung-firmware . org and Sammobile . com
Can I trust either one? Which one should I use?
Thanks!
Hello,

I don't have this device but, the following area of the forum is specific to your device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5
With that stated...
This is not an easy question to answer because there's a handful of Custom Firmware releases that's specific to your J5 (2015) variant device.
The following is the area where you can locate many of the Custom Firmwares and don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within the one you choose to install. Just be sure to read that threads OP (OP = Original Post, which means Post #1) first to prevent from asking a question already answered in it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development
There's other Custom Firmware released in other areas but, that one is, typically, where they all should be for this variant.
I wish you the best of luck!

Rooting an Android Phone for the first time: Need some help.

*THIS IS NOT A "I know nothing about anything thread."*
Can anyone help me find a TWRP installation for a Samsung Galaxy J7 Star (T-Mobile Phone) (SM-J737T)
I'ts running Android 8.0.0, and nobody seems to have anything on it.
Here's a question I have: Why are TWRP images custom for each device? Because I saw there's already a J7 2017 version, and I'm wondering if that image will work for me.
Anyone have anything?
Thank you in advance.

If you had to ask these questions, then, yes, it IS an "I know nothing" thread. If you DID know anything about android devices, you would know that custom recoveries(TWRP) and custom ROMs are specific to device model numbers because thet have to be built for that device's specific hardware. There are cases where something built for a specific model number can be used on devices that have a different model number, but those are specific, case by case scenarios. It is not something that can be done with all devices, it only works when the two devices have exactly identical hardware.
TWRP and ROMs are specific to the hardware, not the device "name" such as J7, just because "this" model number of J7 has TWRP, does not mean "that" model number of J7 can use it. The two devices might "look" the same and have the same "name", but they might actually have different hardware or there may be differences in the stock bootloader, among other things.
If you aren't finding any info on a custom recovery or root for your specific model number, then it probably doesn't exist for your specific model number. US carrier branded Samsung devices typically have locked bootloader, if you have locked bootloader, you can't use TWRP. You could still root the device, but you'd have to try the universal PC programs and universal android apps that are made for rooting android and hope that one of them has a rooting exploit that will work on your device. Even after rooting, you still can't use TWRP because the bootloader will still be locked.
Long story short, find a way to unlock the bootloader and then learn how to build a TWRP recovery for your model number because it does not already exist.

krono net titan -how to root/twrp?

hi i was wondering if any of you know about this phone (krono net titan) and if it is even rootable (is that even a word) or if i can even install twrp in it (sorry for my broken english)
Hint: Change this thread's title to Krono Net Titan - how to root / TWRP? thus mainly owners of such a device get addressed for helping you.
Hello the phone is rooteable. But it is very difficult to do it because you need to create a custom recovery for it and get the firmware is impossible (because krono only gives the firmware to technicians). I have already unlocked the bootloader but I need the firmware to create a twrp custom recovery using twrpdtgen (here is the site if you want to see "https://github.com/twrpdtgen/twrpdtgen") and root it using magisk. My phone hardware is mt6580 if you have the same hardware I can help you with it when I get the firmware.
