hi i was wondering if any of you know about this phone (krono net titan) and if it is even rootable (is that even a word) or if i can even install twrp in it (sorry for my broken english)
Hint: Change this thread's title to Krono Net Titan - how to root / TWRP? thus mainly owners of such a device get addressed for helping you.
Hello the phone is rooteable. But it is very difficult to do it because you need to create a custom recovery for it and get the firmware is impossible (because krono only gives the firmware to technicians). I have already unlocked the bootloader but I need the firmware to create a twrp custom recovery using twrpdtgen (here is the site if you want to see "https://github.com/twrpdtgen/twrpdtgen") and root it using magisk. My phone hardware is mt6580 if you have the same hardware I can help you with it when I get the firmware.

It is for d6903 not for d6603. And you cannot flash a pre-rooted ftf file if you have not rooted your phone before flashing. I think you should just flash the latest marshmallow ftf for d6603 and root you phone afterwards.

I'm pretty sure prototype protection is the apk that does that just delete it. Use kingroot to obtain root. find xz dual recovery theres actually an apk for it so if you found that and installed a prerooted zip you don't even need a computer becarefull what you are flashing if you flash the wrong stuff you could brick your phone.

Thanks for your reply.
You're saying that to install a pre-rooted Rom I should root first. Then install the rom.
Could you link me a good rooting software and flashing Roms?

I found a site which could Flash 5.1.1 W/O root using flash tools xperiafirmware.com, Could you tell me whether that method work ?
The best way is to flash kitkat and root with giefroot. 5.1.1 rooting methods by kingroot, sends your IMEI to an anonymous IP in China.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056 this is the common and safe rooting method. However, if you don't want to flash kitkat and stuff, you can flash Marshmallow ftf files(you can download them through Xperifirm) and root your phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/wip-sony-android-6-0-mm-t3337357 with this method
Thank you Guys for your help ! i flashed Marshmallow ftf and the phone is smooth and got rid of all the Prototype issues. thanks again.
i just got one off ebay with same issue, I am unable to get it to fastboot or bootloader mode with vol buttons, very strange, and nothing when plugged in with USB, does not turn on or display in win 10, i loaded the usb drivers for it but still nothing...
I have been trying to root Lenovo-phab-pb1-750m and referred here http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/root-root-help-lenovo-phab-pb1-750m-plus-t3427518. Well so many deivices in the market are stable to root, why rooting would cause so many problems with this device. Is it dependent on the exploit or the method to gain root access so that device should remain stable to root, without any malfunction. Mine I have experienced hardware keys volume down and power button not responding trying after kingroot. Kingroot which modifies the stock recovery, we will not be able to accept OTA Updates after trying this. I got the issue fixed from an ASC as when I tried reflash using qfil I got sahara error and ended in bootloop.
My main concern is to gain root and it should with full support of su binaries with busy box. Many times it is required to unlock bootloader and install custom recoveries for this I didn't mind doing it. But there is no support officially nor in XDA. But I found one thread here http://www.unlock-bootloaders.racing/2016/10/lenovo-phab-8142.html not sure they are referring to this model but they are referring to XDA site but I can't find it in this site. Are they referring to this model lenovo-phab-pb1-750m in the above thread and can I try it on my device model.
However, I noticed that there is one latest method called systemless root here http://www.xda-developers.com/chainfire-releases-root-for-android-6-0-without-modifying-system/, Hence I want to upgrade to Android 6 and unlock its bootloader to try this. please advice how I can go about. In the mentioned link http://www.unlock-bootloaders.racing/2016/10/lenovo-phab-8142.html there is a method given to unlock the bootloader not sure this is for this model and am running lollipop version 5.1.1. Please check and provide me some info.
Hello,
Ususally, when I want to root a new device I do the following:
1. starts with rootking, and similar application.
2. search google for custom rom.
I would like therefore to ask: Is there a better way to do it ? maybe using twrp ? or do it manually by modifying filesystem and bootloader ?
If someone have more experience and can help with it, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
ranran
Hiee Guys ! I have used lots of android phones since 10 years and also familiar with them . I always try to root every phone but a problem is that every android phone cannot be rooted . So, please anyone tell me that how i can make root for any device and how i can make twrp for any device .
Thank You in Advance......
As far as compiling TWRP, you can start with this thread. Any device such as pixels upgraded to A10 don't have TWRP so because recovery has changed drastically and development of TWRP had not yet caught up.
Root is available for any device that is rootable. Magisk does a pretty good job of covering the bases and is under active development so properly reported issues are generally addressed.
Finding an exploit to be able to root a device is a different matter. Some, like pixels, are straightforward to root since if bought from Google (not a carrier directly) they have unlockable bootloaders allowing the installation of non-stock images. On a device that does not allow the bootloader to be unlocked, an exploit to achieve root must be found. That is often the issue combined with many of these devices do not attract developers to purchase them and thus no attempts are made.

If the device is a device that has a locked bootloader that can not be unlocked, you will not be able to use TWRP. These devices can only be rooted if there is a rooting app or rooting program available for PC or android that has an exploit that works on the device.
If the bootloader is locked, you won't be able to install TWRP or use TWRP to root the device and you will not be able to flash a Magisk patched boot.img to achieve root.
If there are no exploits available that are proven to work on the device, you won't be able to root the device.

Please do move this to the correct thread, as I am new here.
So, as I stated in the title, I need help rooting this phone. I am familiar with rooting, flashing and all of that. But there is a huge problem with this phone, as I am unable to find the stock rom of it anywhere on the internet. There are no guides, either. It's like this phone doesn't even exist.
Another thing is, that this phone was modified in my country to be called "A1 Alpha 20", it's the basic version, not the Plus one. I'm pretty sure there are guides for the Plus one... But the name/model is Alcatel 3L (2020) 5029Y. The phones are the same, I'm pretty sure the Alcatel 3L rom would work fine on it, too. They have the same specs as well.
It's a pretty solid phone, with good specs, not sure why nobody is talking about it. Even my older phone, Samsung J5, has a ton of guides, and of course, I installed TWRP on it and rooted it a year ago. It's working good, even to this day.
So, I'm asking for your help here, I need tips on how to root this phone. I want to know if it's possible pulling the stock firmware out of it, or just rooting it without TWRP? I can't find TWRP for it either, I'm afraid there is nothing I will be able to do for now. I have access to ADB tools and a PC, if I can maybe do something with these. I enabled OEM unlocking without having to format which means that my bootloader was unlocked? If so, could that make pulling stock images easier???
Please help me out. Thank you. For any additional information (model, build number, all info that I can pull out using applications and such) just let me know and I will tell you.
To add root functionality to Android all you have to do is to replace existing ( restricted ) Toybox binary by an unrestricted version, like Toybox 0.8.5.
