So, as I stated in the title, I need help rooting this phone. I am familiar with rooting, flashing and all of that. But there is a huge problem with this phone, as I am unable to find the stock rom of it anywhere on the internet. There are no guides, either. It's like this phone doesn't even exist.
Another thing is, that this phone was modified in my country to be called "A1 Alpha 20", it's the basic version, not the Plus one. I'm pretty sure there are guides for the Plus one... But the name/model is Alcatel 3L (2020) 5029Y. The phones are the same, I'm pretty sure the Alcatel 3L rom would work fine on it, too. They have the same specs as well.
It's a pretty solid phone, with good specs, not sure why nobody is talking about it. Even my older phone, Samsung J5, has a ton of guides, and of course, I installed TWRP on it and rooted it a year ago. It's working good, even to this day.
So, I'm asking for your help here, I need tips on how to root this phone. I want to know if it's possible pulling the stock firmware out of it, or just rooting it without TWRP? I can't find TWRP for it either, I'm afraid there is nothing I will be able to do for now. I have access to ADB tools and a PC, if I can maybe do something with these. I enabled OEM unlocking without having to format which means that my bootloader was unlocked? If so, could that make pulling stock images easier???
Please help me out. Thank you. For any additional information (model, build number, all info that I can pull out using applications and such) just let me know and I will tell you.
To add root functionality to Android all you have to do is to replace existing ( restricted ) Toybox binary by an unrestricted version, like Toybox 0.8.5.

No man there is no blocking,its just that right now nobody developed an exploit for thta specific phone.Give it some time.

i just orderd samsung galaxy core prime because no one is developing any thing at all for this device.I will be making root exploit and start cooking rom for this device so just wait a bit and i will be working on it.

There are many of us using the MetroPCS version G360T1 that will gladly try any root method you get going. Feel free to contact directly if you need some testing help. While waiting for root, I tried Package Disabler Pro 3.7 that was released September 15. It works fine on the G360T1, although it says "Custom" under "Device status" in "About Device -> Status." Haven't gone to Download Mode to see if the triangle is set or not, but I'm guessing the flash counter has been tripped. I'm not worried about it too much, and it may have been tripped with some other attempt to root the device. Still, this app was just what I needed to disable all the junkware and still have a smooth working Lollipop 5.1.1 while waiting for the real goodies.

The thing is i got g3601 and its running kitkat and no update availble on it ??? so i am porting 5.1 for it.Recovery has been patched up and working kinda fine but need to fix alot of issues.normally i dont develop for mid range mobiles but my brother got one so that is why i started with this one.my first projects are z3 + and xperia lines.I will let you know when it is completed for testing.
Hmm, I thought this was for SM-G360T and the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime that is out for T-Mobile and running Lollipop 5.x. Is the G3601 a typo or different model? The MetroPCS G360T1 will work fine with the firmware and files from T-Mobile G360T because they are the same device and even same network provider. Anyway, it looks like someone was kind enough to modify the kernel source code the Samsung posted just a week or two ago. Here is the news, but be warned that it will trip the KNOX flag:

Rooting using the same files as G360t1
I have rooted the g360t using the files from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-core/development/kernel-root-root-sm-g360t1-5-1-1-t3203522 which are for the g360t1 variant and it went well but you have to go to developer options and activate OEM unlocking for it to work and I did it with Odin version 1.85.

I got it rooted with king root but can't fined recovery and can't turn phone off it just bootloops how you fix that

I migrated from Nokia 521 - Windows 8.1 phone to this Android device because of the litany of apps I could use for productivity. I am highly disappointed that I am unable to revoke permissions of applications to resources I think they don't need. So, I basically use phone to make calls and text. If someone has successfully rooted THIS smartphone version, please advise. I'm a little technical, too.
Try this: https://autoroot.chainfire.eu. find your model and download the file you need, unzip it then put your phone in download mode and use odin 3.7 to send it to the phone. That outta be enough. I have not rooted this particular device in a while but I have rooted plenty of others using that method and it works like a charm every time. I just did a quick look up and your model is listed there. Give it a try and post your results.

I have the sm g360t1, though no computer to connect the phone to. I see this phone listed in the cf-auto root repository linked above- not sure if that method needs a computer. King root may have worked, though the root gone by when using w0lfdroid's
Kingroot removal/supersu installer. It worked on orher phones.
King root is such spyware. I really want to try something else...

Yes King Root is bad. Pretty much like malware for your device. Don't use cf-auto-root either, as it's kind of a generic root and doesn't really function properly. I'm helping people constantly fix their devices after either tryung King or CF. Use Trapkernel to root the SM-G360T1 & SM-G360T. It's quick and easy and roots the device with no problems.

I recommend using version 3.0.1-0 though, as version 3.0.2-0 has had problem flashing certain roms for some reason.

Is it possible to find a way to root from already rooted devices? It may sound weird, but I got a rooted device from one who did not provide how to do it. Since I have another device which I want to root, I hope there is any way to extract some pieces of information.
It is not a typical device with customized bootloader. I can extract some files like hacked system apps but it should be not enough. Any suggestion or advice?

Are the two devices the same? If not then, no, the other rooted device won't help you.
To find how to root the device you want to root, do a Google search for:
"How to root (your model number)"

Yes, they are exactly the same. And obviously the reason why I'm asking here is there is no information on Google.
After researching, I'm pretty sure that eMMC hacking is the only probable way that does not depend on a specific/unknown device. As it's been done with Amazon TV here (http://solderwiresandplastic.com/20...the-amazon-firetv-to-achieve-root-privileges/).

Careful, the android on TVs and TV sticks/boxes isn't quite the same as android on phones and tablets.
If the other device is rooted and is identical you can try using adb to pull a copy of the system.img from the rooted device. Then use adb to push the rooted system.img to the non rooted device. Or use fastboot to flash the rooted system.img onto the non rooted device.
What is the model number of your non rooted device? Is the rooted device the exact same model number? Or does it have the same device name but different model number? I'll make sure there are no device specific things that you need yo know about that might cause issues.

Thanks for the reply. But I'm not that ignorant to try exactly the same method for TV to other devices or to be confused with model numbers or so. Usual rooting methods are not applicable in this case, for even USB communication is blocked intentionally for security reasons. If I could use adb to connect to the device, I would not ask this kind of question.
I know hardware hacking is very extreme, and devices whose rooting method is unknown usually require such extreme methods. Of course, I won't try to modify eMMC myself because it's too risky. On the other hand, it looks quite easy and promising compared to unusual rooting methods, e. g. hacking firmware update routine to penetrate system files.

This would be a thread you'd want to take a look at: https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616. Unfortunately, you are on binary #11/B, and there is no root for that. There is no eng.boot for that, and that's what you need in order to root. The last eng.boot was for #10/A.

Not until there is the correct eng.boot for the current binary. Our bootloader's are locked, so no way to downgrade.

When trying to Root using odin, I keep getting the SW Rev Check Fail: [Boot] Fused 11 > binary 8 (or 1, or 4; it depends on which Tar I am using to attempt root).

it's currently not possible to root xcover fieldpro since rom from this model are unvailable on public, even tools like friya can't download it. original rom are needed to make twrp or patch boot.img wirh magisk

I have the BL5 stock roms and combination files. Had to pay for them. Would love to share them with developers who can cook something up like the cool people did for my S8 Active with that SamFail V2 ROM or whatever. As it stands, even with flashing the combination file that has a passive state on the kernel, still can't get it running for user ways. It's set up for purely development. If you could get me the build number info, I'll try to track down your ROM for ya, found a bunch of them, but only downloaded my own bootloader version so that way, I didn't update bootloader and screw myself.
Only thing I can think of in my mind, is unzipping the ROM and putting in the SU files in all the proper places, zipping it back up, and then flashing it, but unsure if that would even work.
Has anything changed on root options for this device?
There's an XDA thread out for a paid service that was supposed good for up to certain versions of firmware on several Galaxy devices (up to early 2020 and earlier security patches I think).
The guy had listed an Xcover Pro as one of the successes of his patch, so I had hopes.
Since this FieldPro is not even a Snapdragon chipset, but an Exynos, I figured it was less restricted and someone might have heard of an exploit by now.

Flashing is the process to reinstall Android OS on the phone. Flashing a Custom ROM requires a Custom Recovery gets installed before, requires device's bootloader gets unlocked.
2.
