When we turn on our car radio - we see lollipop multimedia system - then android - then a black system window - no matter what I press, no app works, only volume adjustment. When I press the "DISK" button, the device resets. Is the firmware damaged - can I import it again - can you help?

Consider replacing SOM with PX6....or better replace the unit with an FYT based 7862UIS

Heyho,
with the new PX5 Unit, it seems they changed some management settings about running apps while standby... and so on.
Im looking forward for following solutions:
-Activate complete shutdown after acc timeout
-Let Apps stay open while radio goes off and on within Acc-Timeout (example: starting google maps, turn ignition off and on within 30 secs, google maps app isnt running anymore)
-Set some Apps Autostart after every power on (like PCV Builder)
im using current malysk 1.0
thanks
looking for same things..
MtcdTools as of version 1.9 has such functionalities.
Hello experts, I really hope that you can help me with the follow:
I purchased a Chinese Android head-unit for my USA spec 2012 Lexus is250 and I am having the following (2) two issues:
The unit is Model Number: TZ-LS1020AD and it is running Android 6.0 Marshmellow, all-winner R16 Cortex A7 CPUX4 with 1G Ram and 16G Rom with 10.2" touchscreen
(Oops didn't realize I cannot post an outside link, sorry)
Please keep in mind before you continue reading: on the OEM Lexus Toyota radio the part that has the buttons for power/AM/FM/SAT, CD AUX seek/scan and the OEM Lexus Toyota display (it is not touch screen) for the radio stations are (2) two separate pieces of equipment. The part of the radio that has the buttons are at the bottom of the center console and the Radio display is all the way at the top of the center console and probably only 1" tall. The climate control display and buttons are a part of the radio display. That is why the aftermarket head unit choices are so limited for this particular vehicle.
1) The OEM radio (the button part) is linked to the Android unit for the Radio function. The Android interface is extremely nice and the Android touch screen works really well for all functions and is a really good upgrade for the vehicle. The Android interface does work in concert with the original radio (the button part) and its buttons for volume, seek/scan CD, Aux etc. and steering wheel control buttons to control the radio. It is all integrated very nicely. The issue is the Radio station showing on the Android touch screen is not the actual radio station that is playing through the speakers. Example: the Radio is tuned to 95.5 FM (showing on the Android touch screen) but 87.3 FM is actually playing through the speakers. The other problem with the radio is the scan/seek function only goes up to 97.6 FM then starts over somewhere in the 80.0 FM frequency it does not scan all the way to the 108 FM frequency (both touch screen and original radio scan/seek buttons do this).
2) The climate control in the car only shows Hi or Low it does not show the actual temperature that the unit is set at. All other functions of the climate control work as designed except this function. There are about 22 -23 "steps" (button pushes) between Hi and Low and the actual temperature of the air coming out of the vents does change. The issue is that the unit simply fails to show the actual temps between the Hi setting and the Lo setting.
I don't know if the issue is in the Canbus decoder or the applications. I did see on another forum someone provided a file to fix these same (2) two issues, however the fix was for a similar unit running WinCE, so I am hoping my issues are in the Android applications.
I used ES Explorer to try to find the application for the radio and the climate control but I was unable to find them.
I was able to change the application that the navigation uses and thought it would be just as easy to change the radio application and the climate control application but it was not.
I downloaded another radio application that scans through the entire US FM frequency but I cannot find where I can switch the interface for the radio, so I don't know if that will solve my issue.
I have not found another climate control application so I don’t know if/how that would work.
If I plug my OEM unit back into the car. The OEM Radio display and the Climate Control both function as designed by the manufacturer so I’m assuming the problems that I am experiencing are in the android applications.
I was able to find the passwords for the
extra settings: 123456
developer settings: 7890
I have e-mailed the seller but support appears to be waning. I would like to keep the unit as it is extremely nice but I need these (2) two most used applications to function properly.
Apologies for such a long first post but figured more information was better than less. Any help afforded would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have a problem with a new 8227l_demo car head unit. It is a fake Android 9 version. (The software info screen shows Android version 9 but Aida64 shows Android 6.)
My problem is the following:
I had installed Waze and Spotify as well after then I set both up. (sign in, link them etc.)
Alone both work well, but if I try to use them together, they kill each other.
Option #1:
Start Spotify -> playing anything -> start Waze -> start navigation -> when Waze starts to speak it kills Spotify
Option #2:
Start Waze -> start navigation -> tap on Waze's 'Spotify' button -> when I tap on play button Spotify starts playing and kills Waze
It looks like the system recognized Waze like a music player not a navigation app. I think this is the reason why these kill each other.
System info screen
Android 9.1
Build: android-trunk-m0.AC8227L-V1.0
Aida64 android tab
Android 6.0
Build: YT9218_00002_V004
Waze ver.: 4.69.0.3
Spotify ver.: 8.5.89.901
Does anybody have an idea what I should try?
Thank you in advance.
Hello All,
I recently installed a new Android Head Unit on my Peugeot 407 (PX5 | 4GB | 64GB | MTCE_MX2). Detailed specs below.
Ever since the installation of Head Unit, my battery has been going flat. I tried trickle charging my battery few times but it keeps going flat in few days / weeks that I have to jump start my car too often.
Is there a way to power off my Android Head Unit everytime I turn off my engine? Currently it goes to sleep when I turn off engine and I'm wondering that might be a contributing factor for the drain.
I can't find the power settings under "Car Settings --> Factory settings" menu. Please advise.
My head unit specifications below.
Car: Peugeot 407
Unit: PX5
OS: Android 10
CPU: Octa-core Cortex-A53 @1.5G
Memory: 4GB
Storage: 64GB
MCU Version: MTCE_MX2_V3.60_1
Kernel Version: 4.19.111+
Build Number: rk368-userdebug 10 [email protected] eng.hct2.20200909.085823
Bluetooth Module: WQ_RF210 (as pre-selected in the Factory settings in the head unit)
Thank you!
Hey All, I've been experimenting with few settings over the last few weeks and at this point I think I've found the right settings that turns off your head unit everytime you turn off your engine.
I don't have the exact steps with me right now. But I will be back soon with more details.
Stay tuned!

There is a problem with your head unit/wiring/car/battery.
A properly installed head unit cannot deplete the battery in sleep mode.
Perhaps consult a skilled installer or auto electrician in your area and also have your battery tested.
This had been written about many many times.

Thank you. Yes, I suspect there are larger problems. But just in a difficult spot stuck in lockdowns right now. Without a lots of access to the services / skills needed. So needed a shortcut / quick solution as described in the question. Good news is I found the settings and it worked.
Meanwhile, If you have links to the previous discussion you were referring to, please add the links below when you can.

So, there are 2 settings I changed for this to work.
In your Android 10 Head Unit,
Goto Settings -> CAR -> Factory Settings -> Enter Password -> Other and set "Default Power Status" to "Off"
Goto Settings -> CAR -> Extra Settings and set "Shutdown Delay when ACC OFF" : Desired time in seconds / minutes.
In my case I'm rolling with 30 seconds right now, as I don't take the car out often these days. Post lockdown if you are driving around a lot, you might wanna set this to a reasonable time in minutes.
Thanks All! Hope this helps!
