I would like to officially take ownership of my moto one fusion xt2073-2 and access root. Thought I would get the best answer on how to do that here.

[Q] Breathing some new life into my LG Optimus V

So let me start off by saying that I haven't root this device, and that's what I mean by breathing in some new life into the phone. I'm also using this as a "testing" opportunity to root. Seeing as how I've never rooted I'd like to gain the confidence and experience to later root my Nexus 4 and 7.
While I contemplated not making this post, I decided to go through with it because when I tried the "[HOW-TO] Simplified Root + Recovery + Custom ROM" it did not work, I got an error, and googling made it even more overwhelming, when I read things like, "you can't root unless your in the old baseband, it'll brick if you're in the newest one." something about "ZV5" and "ZV9" and when I read the "gordita root" I decided not to got through with it because the information did not match.
So my question is simple and I'm sorry that it is, but can you direct me to a good guide to root this device. I did not know any information I should provide so I took a screenshot of it. Also, this phone is disconnected and I don't see myself connecting it in the near future... if that matters.
Since I'm new I can't post outside links until I've had 10 posts, so here is the url to the screen shot

EDIT: I'd also like to change ROMS after I root, and run things like dSploit or things similar to that

To figure out your baseband, go to settings, about phone, and scroll down to baseband info. For zv4 and zv5, the gingerbreak apk works well for rooting. If you are on vz9, you will have to use jcase's method. I will pm you with some links when you tell me what baseband you have.

Following the method here should help you. It is the Jcase method.

Dads pissed off at his phone.

My dad is really pissed off. He updated his cricket version, and it removed all of his favorite things. I am decent with android and I was wondering if soemone could give me the firmware from about august 2013 for this phone. Also, what is the easiest to follow root guide? I have the epic 4g touch and I have rooted, and custom kernel. I don't wanna **** up his phone. Please help me .
To root is easy, you only have to make sure, to use the latest TWRP recovery and SuperSU (instead of Superuser). You'll find links to both in my index thread.

[Q] Root ZTE Rapido Lte

I have the ZTE Rapido Lte from straight talk and was wondering if anyone has found a way to root this phone yet. I have tried program after program and no avail. I am on android 4.1.2. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
ZTE Rapido
I also just got this phone. I have been religiously trying different root methods. None have worked out for me. I've run out of answers. I imagine there is a dev out there somewhere trying to release a new rev of Framaroot that would cover this phone. As of rootandroid.com this is not rootable of yet. I am not used to having an unrooted phone and I hate not having root. I hope someone else replies so we aren't stuck in the grip and mercy of the manufacturer.
I just got one today, I tried a bunch of methods as well to no avail. If there is anyone that can help I can pull an image from the phone so that others with more technical expertise might be able to go over it and find a way to root it.
More specifically, what kind of image would be needed? Any statistical info is available on the manufacturers website. In the case of a system image, what process and software would be needed? i will image mine if I have a procedure to follow.
I'm very interested in this myself. I just got one a few days ago and am already missing my rooted and ROMed Droid X. Please someone save us.
Same here I have tried framaroot z4root towel root root master root genius poot and none worked. Someone please help

Damn.
I just bought this phone for my Mom--her first smartphone since Verizon is the only thing in her coverage area. She's having trouble with the ringtones being too flat and not loud enough on the device.
I was hoping someone would've figured out a root for this beautiful little prepaid ZTE so I could somehow increase her ringtone/alert volume level. Maybe I'll poke around with the phone next time I'm near it.
So far she can answer calls and get on Skype
new news
any news on root i want to update it to lollipop
Solved!
I just rooted mine with king root apk. http://androidxda.com/download-kingroot-application or Google it. Make sure you download the latest version and if you don't get success on the first try keep trying it took me three tries. Please confirm if it works for you...
No root
Tried the KingoRoot download. Tried 17 times. Never once got a positive from any root checker app

so it didn't go well?
Has anyone got root for ZTE Rapido LTE Z932L?
Any progress?
Just checking in to see if anybody had any progress on rooting the Z932L.
I haven't seen any posts online on any site of people making any progress or even talking about this phone anymore, but it would still be nice if it was rootable.

rooting ANY Android device? (last resort for uncommon devices)

Hello!
I'm well aware that there are plenty of threads around which touch this topic. However, in my case many of them are unsatisfying. (I can't say all of them since there are too many!)
I've got a SWITEL S57D Samba running Android 4.2.2. There's almost nothing on XDA about my phone. I desperately want to have root on it and already tried some of the tools which are supposed to root "(almost) any" device, such as Framaroot and Towelroot... but with no success. I'm yet to try Kingo Android Root or some of the countless other tools but I somehow feels as if I'm wasting my time if I don't properly know what to look for.
Have I missed a tool which can root literally ANY device?
How to determine which tool/method will root my device? (for a device that is never listed in any compatibility list since it's uncommon)
What could be indicators? (Android version, HW chip, Stock ROM, ...?)
If there are no FAQs or Tools available for my device, how can I get around to rooting my phone by myself?
What do I need to achieve in general? (run process as root? add user to group? set file permissions? ...?)
What reading material is out there?
What is the expected amount of time needed for a tech-savvy person which knows how to hack Linux?
Are there devices which can't be rooted?
I'm looking forward to insightful answers. Cheers!
So it turns out that Kingo Root was able to root my phone!!! (even though it was displayed as a HTC device)
It went to fastboot and my Win7 didn't recognize my android device anymore... I had to select the driver from the list "ASUS->Composite ADB driver". Then it all went fine.
Still it would be nice to get an answer for the questions I've asked in my previous post!

Would be nice if people posted in the correct section. We don't get everything we want.

Lg G Stylo 2 successfully rooted ?

I dont have the phone yet and was wondering if anyone has successfully completed a rooting of this phone. I am looking to buy it and wanted to know if it is root-able.
why do people like you title your posts to sound like it happened?
Seriously, so annoying.
Questions about rooting lg g stylo 2
Well I didnt intended for it to sound like it was already rooted. I wanted to know if anyone has successfully performed a rooting and wanted to know if the phone is work rooting.
So is that a 'no'? Cause I'd love to root this thing.
Yes its a no
Well ive been looking for a thread for it but they are all mostly the original stylo.
Hmm.... Maybe we can ask a moderator to make a lg stylo 2 forum. It won't do any good to look around on the stylo section and muddy already disgusting water with ANOTHER variation of this device. Either that or go looking for an exploit like kids look for Easter eggs.
Confirmed. I successfully rooted via king root on marshmallow

Careful, another user bricked their device messing around with king root. In the meantime hard reboot the phone and see if root is maintained. Report back on this please, I'd like to know what happens
I too have successfully rooted with king root under marshmallow. I lose it after reboot though.
Poop I hate when people post stuff like that.
Can you unlock the bootloader?

I think I found instructions for unlocking the bootloader here. Would unlocking it keep me from activating it when the time comes (assuming I do not brick it of course )? I am using virgin mobile. I've been waiting for permanent root before make this my daily.

I have the Boost Stylo2, has anybody tried the Poot method to root. I haven't tried it yet myself.
Haha, I forgot how much fun XDA can be, lol. Nothing like watching a bunch of Junior members post up like they own the place. Seriously, we obviously all have the same common goal, so why act like a bunch of trolls putting each other on blast? That's not gonna look attractive to mods who could recommend a new forum for our device or for devs that already hate this kind of behavior after they've made contributions. They can look right here and see they want nothing to do with a bunch of prepaid carrier newbies whining and *****ing amongst each other over development that hasn't even occurred yet. Now, back on topic, not once has kingroot even begun to work for me, LGMS550 metro pcs. What version of kingroot are you using and please post a link for it along with your variant. Just saying.....
The situation is like most of LG phones with Android 6.x.
Even with bootloader unlocked, some fastboot commands are disabled.
Under such case, a .tot method is the only way to install TWRP which also requires unlocked bootloader.

I haven't unlocked the bootloader on my 2 Plus yet, but if it's like the original Stylo, it's a cake walk. I just want it rooted with custom recovery so I can use layers themes and have a nandroid handy if a theme breaks it.

If this is directed at my post, I was just giving my 2 cents hoping it may be helpful in some way. If this is useless information then I will just keep lurking and waiting. To answer your question I used KR version 4.9.5 my carrier is virgin mobile ls775zv3 marshmallow 6.0.1
Bootloader
Unlocked 2 Plus bootloader using same method as original G Stylo. Kingroot does not work yet, but over 400 people have sent them a request for the 2 Plus, so hopefully soon. MetroPCS 6.0.1.
I tried Kingroot, and not a chance thus far. I'm on Metro with the MS550, I've heard some with the Boost variant having partial success, but KingRoot isn't very successful right now. Unlocking the boot loader on Metro one is easy, just fast boot unlock bootloader I think was the command lol
Yes many commands in fast boot seem to be missing, most notably boot. I have been experimenting with making a twrp or was going to try and find one that might work. I would have tested more if I could boot rather than risking it by flashing it.
On a side note, these phones, i assume, are as hard to break as the G Stylo. I.E. download mode can fix all. However I can't seem to get ahold of a kdz for the stock os. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
Was wondering how progress might be going on this phone
