Question Suggestion for Custom ROM, without GAPPS, with MicroG. - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Hi,
I would like to install a Custom ROM, preferrably a bit customizable but fast, without GAPPS - with MicroG onto my Poco X3 Pro.
Do you have a suggestion, which ROM to use?
Use case will be phone, Video, youtube, music. No gaming.
I would prefer older ROMs if possible if these are more stable and more refined.

Hi, i didn't try but the /e/ rom is released. It's Android R.

Best xiaomi.eu ROM for mi 4i?

I changed my phone from mi 4i to mi 6, so i was about to give this phone to friend. But she not really technically inclined, per say. Currently my mi 4i has miui 8.0, but it is kind of unstable, super laggy at times and bad battery performance.
I was looking at most stable miui rom from xiaomi.eu as a permanent ROM. She loves miui so I dont want to flash cm based ROM. Appreciate anyone experiences in custom miui ROM.
Old version is fine, as long as it is most stable
In my opinion, Miui 7.1 or 7.2 from official site is the best in terms of performance and stability. Try it out

Miui 7 is marshmallow? Official site means xiaomi.com? I presume .eu vs .com is the same except chinese bloatware isnt? All those firmwares and drivers will be the same? Or there will be differences?
No official marsmallow is available for our device. I was talking about the official xiaomi website. not the eu one
HI! As per my opinion, you should gift it to her with MIUI7 stable ROM (Android 5.0.1)
On the other hand, if she wants to use Android 7.1.2 then install AOSP extended official 4.2 (Android 7.1.2). Only its in built FM app does not work but it can be enabled with the third party FM app.
You have to do some manual settings and work in that AOSP Ext official ROM.
1) Remove inbuilt Magisk tool, FM and camera app with LInk2SD
2) Install Snapdragon camera, All in one tool box (It has Best cleaner & startup management tools), sweet selfie camera and Spirit2 FM (Requires ROOT & Use Official superSu)

You have to only teach her that, "Do not grant ROOT access to untrusted or unofficial apps".

custom rom installation process for newbies (question)

Hello
I just bought a new Poco F2 Pro phone and I don't like the MIUI system at all. I want the experience to be as close to stock android as possible. with that said, I have no idea how to install ROMs and what ROM should I install. Can someone direct me to some guides that can help me figure it out? thanks for the help
use resurrection remix rom or evolution os rom then

oneOS is the best Custom ROM, its based on Xiaomi.eu rom, it have all latest updates and works perfect, camera have all features and extra one that only Chinese beta have..

Question Custom Rom For POCO X3 PRO??

Hi! I am wondering if I can get Custom ROM for Poco X3 pro. is there any chance for that? because this device is a monster with SD860 (in Budget range).
While there are no custom ROMs available for this device, you can make system r/w and then debloat all unnecessary system apps from stock MIUI ROM and customize it as you wish and make MIUI run as smooth as silk!
The kernel sources have been released today, so it shouldn't be too long before custom ROMs start showing up.
@lebigmac - I agree, although it is some substantial work to be done. I received X3 Pro today and, at the first sight, it's just awfully bloated. But going this way (I mean deggogling xiaomi.eu roms) might give the best experience after all.
I'm just not sure how they distribute updates. I mean if I debloat the phone and install update afterwards - will all the stuff from google and xiaomi be back ?
Sorry for possibly lame question - long time SailfishOS user here. I need to get to know with Android again

I've never used that ROM before, but how does it compare to LineageOS?... Lineage has been great to me over the years and I really would prefer to avoid MIUI if at all possible.

In the Telegram Poco X3 Pro Updates group I saw a Pixel 5 Port done, so this seems to be the first Custom ROM at least what I saw.

What ROM is this? Is this an AOSP release for the X3 Pro? Based on the model # it looks like the Indian edition.

Interesting... So does it come included w/ Gapps and does it receive periodic updates like the mainline OTA MIUI updates?

Both of these roms are heavily bloated with google and xiaomi stuff
So if someone is looking for a clean experience - they are not the way to go.

You mean Xiaomi.eu and MiuiMiX (MMX)? I hope the mi-globe ROM Builder gets a vayu release soon as it has debloat options and I would like to use Poco X3 Pro as daily driver - or maybe I try to debloat the Stock ROM.
AOSP/LOS based ROMs seem to take some time and I plan to wait until a stable signature spoofing ROM is available before switching.
Yes, both of them.
I managed to debloat xiaomi.eu rom with Debloat Magisk module and a list of bloat to remove I created for myself. It can be even further debloated but for now it's enough for me.
I am also waiting for an aosp/los rom.

I'm So Confused About Custom Rom Installation to Poco X3 NFC 128 GB

I have a few questions about custom roms. My first question is which rom I should pick? If the rom stable, fast and supports picture in picture mode that's good enough for me. Most of the people were recommending Arrowos so I think I'll use it. But my other questions are which kernel I should use? Should I use stock kernel or f1xy? And should I use supersu or magisk? What is the best way to install Arrowos on my Poco X3 NFC 128 GB device?

Redmi note 10 pro

Hello guys. I have flashed "Miui by pappi54" rom on my redmi note 10 pro. All works fine, but I want to get root. I tried with magisk 24.1 but when I'm flashing it in orangefox recovery, phone stucks on boot logo. Is there any other way to get root? Thanks
The redmi note 10 pro comes with miui... Why did you flash this other miui "by pappi54"?

This version is 13.0.2
Official version is 12.5
But 13 is in beta dude.. the redmi note 10 pro is in the support list for the official global launch of miui 13. till then, either use a stable custom rom, or stick with 12.5. using a beta, and especially a beta of miui (which is well known for bugs in its stable releases) is not a good idea..
This may also be the reason as to why you're unable to root it, and you may also face many other issues.
I recommend that you switch back to miui 12.5, or even 12 as 12.5 has a couple of bugs too. If you want a custom rom, dotOS 5.2.1 is an android 11 rom with a ui quite similar to miui, while also bringing all the benefits of a custom rom, if you'd like to give it a go, here's a link:

Thanks a lot
Now to answer you're original question (if you STILL want to give that a go),
Have you tried kingoroot? It's not always successful, but it is possible that it can one-click root your phone.
Another option is to try flashing magisk v23, then update it through the magisk app, as i had some issues flashing magisk v24 on my galaxy j5 running android 11.
You could also try using supersu, or some other rooting alternative instead of magisk.
