Does anyone know if there a way to make a fast charge widget by using taker were you can turn fast charge on and off and have the icon(widget) change when you turn on and off the widget?
Probably is you use Secure Settings. I believe there's a toggle that will enable Fast charge. Just create a task to enable it and then create a widget to turn it on.
Edit - It worked fine. You'll need to download Secure Settings (and the helper) and make sure to enable fast charge in the settings, then go into Tasker, create a new task, plugin, secure settings. Save it, create a widget and select Tasker, then Task, choose the one you just created.

This works great, but is there a way I can make Tasker echo back the status that I've switched to/from in a notification? or change icon between on and off? I can toggle with the widget, but if I forget the state I'm in I have to to terminal to find out.
Thanks

You could have it set a variable that you create to 1 when on and 0 when off (basically toggling between the two). Then just set up to check the variable and create an Alert pop-up telling you it is On or Off . . .
Was looking to do the same thing. Here's what I came up with, xml in zip attached.
You'll need Secure Settings installed.
What the task does.
1. Reads /sys/kernel/fast_charge/force_fast_charge and stores value in variable %FASTC (0 = off, 1 = on)
2. Toggles Fast Charge using the Secure Settings plugin
3. The next set of commands flash a message and change the widget icon depending on the status of %FASTC
Setup a widget that uses the task, and you should be all set. Keep in mine changing the name of the Task/Widget will require editing the "change widget icon" commands.
Edit: Looks like I made a boo-boo. The read statement happens too fast and would still get the old value of force_fast_charge before Secure Settings changes it.
I moved the statements around and edited the IF statements for switching icons and flashing messages. attachment updated.

I just installed Secure Settings on my Note8, and for the Fast Charging option, the app is telling me that I do not have a compatible kernel... Does any know what this may be?
Hi guys, I'm looking for an simple app so I can create profiles and manage all the settings in one click.
I'm looking for something that would:
Turn off localization
Turn off sync
Turn off data
Turn off auto-rotate
Turn off bluetooth
Put the phone in 2G only mode
Preferably something that will look like a widget, so I can one-click turn off everything. I've looked at DU Battery Saver but it does not affect the root settings (like 2g only) and I don't want it in my notification tray.
Thanks a lot
Hi, I'm used to using Internet Speed Meter. It's a fine application which displays a floating widget with inetrnet speed.
But the widget often hides. I realized that it hides always when I made a call but I'm not sure if it hides also with no action from my side. I'm using Call recorder too but disabling didn't help.
Any suggestions how prevent application on background to stop? I had enabled notification, it didn'd help.

I use network monitor mini and I have no problem. But you must take care of the Doze mode from Google and the Galaxy built in battery optimization (which I disabled).
For Doze mode go to the battery settings and turn off doze for your app specifically.
Doze mode turns off every application communication and tasks after your phone is stationary for about 30 minutes I think. It opens a maintenance window every few minutes to applications do what they have to do and then turn apps off again.
It is a good approach to save battery, but it has drawbacks. So, turn off doze for every application that you need to keep it running every single minute.

Hello everyone. Just quick help. With Nougat 7, now i get every time a stupid vibration with a notificaiton saying the following:
Extend your battery life: and it will tell me one app is draining my battery.
How can I stop this from showing? I have held the notification and search every where. I cant find any where how to prevent for this to show ever again.
Thanks in advance.
I'm having the same issue and it will drive me out of using Android phones. This last update is a nightmare.
I second the request for a way to disable the constant pestering. Thank you !
Settings> Device Management> Battery>
Press the menu button on the right hand sign (looks like three dots)
Click Advanced Settings
Toggle off App Power Monitor
Done!
