logo.bin/Boot image examples - Moto G 5G Questions & Answers

I finally got a replacement device and got it rooted but I want to get a new/different boot logo on my device but having trouble finding examples for this specific device. Can anyone direct me to some anywhere? Many thanks!

You can use Motorola Boot Logo Maker, but you have to follow these steps to allow it to save files for this phone.

[Q] Anyone recognize this logo

I have an AllWinner A10 based tablet that started working weird about a month ago - when the display was on there was no sound and to get the sound you had to turn off the display. I tried to fix it by flashing a custom ROM without understanding the process thoroughly. Long story short, I think I may have bricked it I believe the last thing I did was to install CWM-recovery-5.5.0.4.img through LiveSuit. Now I get only a blue Android logo at startup and nothing more. I have tried installing the stock ROM back but I always get this error in LiveSuit - ".PnpFelIn:invalid ID"
I am attaching a shot of the logo that comes up, hoping that some one will recognize what the logo means, and more importantly, if it's possible to recover my tablet from that point ?
Any pointers are very welcome at this stage.
Thanks
Hi
Any luck sorting this?
I have same error when using livesuit, and phoenixusbpro, ive got the natpc m009s with forgotten pincode, have got image file but can't install it, recovery mode just shows a dead android with red triangle, nothing else happens. Android Multi Tools v1.02b gsmforum gives an error of no files in the tablet so i can't use that either, tried .zip files on sd card too, nothing. tried 3 cables 2 computers with different operating systems.
Any help from anyone much appreciated.

[Q] Haipai i9389 (MTK6589) Recovery?

Hi guys, I bought the above phone off Amazon. I found out this very strange device also had a root-enabled kernel out of the box, but my question is about recovery. I want to install CWM as a first choice, if not that, TWRP, but a Google search only tuns up loose references to MTK6589 which is presumably the SoC, but nothing for my specific model. Currently when I reboot to recovery with any root app it shows 'no command' (maybe there is no recovery installed to the recovery partition?) and when entering bootloader mode the device displays what is seen in the attached photo.
I would appreciate any help on getting a working recovery set up on this device.
Thanks!

Hi, I also have one of these phones and have been looking at recovery options with little success.
However I have found a set of instructions in the XDA University about porting CWM. (unfortunalty I can't post a link due to being a Noob, but if you Google 'porting cwm' it should be the top result).
I am going to be attempting to do this once I have got my PC set up dual boot for Linux.
Will post back with news on how it's going. Would appreciate any progress you have made about a recovery option.
Regards
Mad.
first, make a backup of your device using mtk droid tools.
if phone isn`t rooted yet, use this tutorial:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2332783
for the recovery, you need to unpack your recovery.img, take the kernel zImage and put it in the cwm-recovery. for mt6589 phones, this one should work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357875
you can unpack/repack your boot.img with this tools:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1587411
after obtaining new recovery.img, flash it through SP flash tool or mobileuncle tools.
Recovery Quirk
Chrizzly, thanks for the pointers, will be checking out the tools tonight.
Found a quirk though, may just be my phone.
I booted into recovery last night and as expected the "no commands" came up, but then I took the back off the phone and a recovery menu appeared. Had options in there like reboot, delete cache, delete delvik cache....
I'm assuming this is the stock recovery.
I tested it again this morning and booting into recovery and then taking the back off the phone made the menu appear!!
Any one else care to test and see if it's a stock thing or just a quirk of my phone.
replied before, my post disappeared.. this isn`t related to your device , this is recovery-typical. it is showing the android first, without a menu. you need to press hardware buttons, to get into the menu( this is device-specific, you need to try that, also buttons on the touch screen, if there are some) this will usually bring you in recovery MENU. think you accidently pressed one of these buttons while opening the device.

Re: Stock recovery. Thought it was a button press that got me in first time but I tried it several times and no button worked just pulling the back off. Little puzzled about that but it's something I can live with!!

Re: Files. Thanks for the files, going to try them out as soon as I can!!
Done
I have got CWM working on my i9389 now, there was a few quirks in getting it going.
The method I used was as posted in the MTK Droid Root & Tools thread by rua1.
TIPS
Leave the battery out when doing read back or flash in Flash Tools.
Not mentioned in the instruction is the MTK vcom drivers which you will need and can be found in the Root tutorial posted by Chrizzly a bit further up.
Make sure you read the instructions by rua1 closely and use the images posted as it's not always straight forward.
Last tip pay attention to where MTK tools puts the files it creates, had me stumped for a bit!! I've never been very good at following instructions!!

I managed to boot loop mine while messing with a ROM I made (it's not finished yet) but managed to recover by re-flashing using the Flash Tools a back up I had taken just after installing CWM.
Do you have a back up you can flash?
I have just checked mine and even zipped it's still 800MB so I can't email it to you...
...sure if I looked about I could find somewhere to upload it to for you. PM me if you need this!!
The sd holder broke off, can i buy this http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...w?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=1379198350&sr=8-1 the galaxy s3 i9300 sd card slot holder and put it on my haipai i9389? or do i need specific haipai i9389 sd card slot holder.

LG AS730 Security Error Recovery

This is in response to LG AS730 (L7 Variant) Rooting / Unbricking / More, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102104. This was a very helpful thread but it has a broken link for the cab firmware. I have found an easier way to fix the security error anyway. Just follow the first two steps and boot your phone into emergency mode (Vol Down + Up / Then plug in USB) with LG support tool running. Click options, upgrade recovery, and it will ask you for a Serial # / Model or MEID #. It will download the correct stuff (im not an expert), and install it on the phone. Boots right up. The reason i got into this mess was because I un-installed the wrong apps after I rooted. I didn't heed the warnings of others, i think it was chrome but I'm not sure. Anyway I just wanted to put this out there to save some hassles if any one else has done this.

Samsung S3 SCH-I535, Tried to install Cyanogen Marshmallow on Locked bootloader

Hello there everyone, i need some help to put Marshmallow on my Phone. I had tried to install it on a my phone which boot-loader is locked and i got a message saying
"System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon Wireless store for help. "
I shut down the phone and booted my phone with volume down/home/power key and when its that download mode or something page. I hit continue and i was able to access my phone again. Since then, i cannot boot into recovery mode anymore, it gives me that "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone" message and i don't know what to do.
I want to get Marshmallow on my phone, with the ROM for he Samsung UI thing since i don't like plain android. (dunno if that possible, sorry if i sound stupid)

Hi there, I'd love to help but you did not specify what version of Android you were running prior to getting a bricked device. However a general method would by flashing the stock ROM of the phone via Odin(I'm assuming its a Samsung device). Search for "unlock bricked Samsung SCH-1535" using the search tool. As for the marshmallow UI, this can only be achieved if you've re rooted your device and unlocked your bootloader in other to be able to flash ROMs with marshmallow UI. Alternately you'll have to edit the build.prop file located in the /system folder in the root directory of the device in question. This procedure also will require a rooted device. You can search around for forums that describe how this can be done on your specific device. Goodluck mate:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

[Completed] Where to find Send_command.exe?

Where can I find "Send_command.exe" to use with my LG G4 (H811) in "download mode"? Is it a device- or manufacturer-specific thing? Or does the same one work on all Android phones?
My phone can't get past the Cyanogenmod boot logo, and it seems I borked my recovery, as detailed here. I can get into download mode, so I'm thinking that's my best bet to install a usable recovery, so I can fix this without wiping.
Thanks.
Hi !
Have a look at this guide , first post especially
Good luck !
