Thanks to afaneh92 for kernel source/base

Thank you very much. Will install and feedback here....

Thank you, keep up the good work

Except for non working hotspot as mentioned I have no media volume control. Everything plays at max volume and volume slider does nothing. Also Google Pay does not work.
EDIT: Got help in telegram. For GPay you need to set up magisk and saftynet fix module. I skipped magisk first time since I didn't care for root but it's important just for hiding features.
Volume control worked on second try and is supposed to work so maybe I screwed something up first time or just some random failure.
Everything is a bit big on screen and looks slight off with default settings. To fix/workaround go to developer options and change "Smallest width" from 360 to 392.

Provided GSI's +this kernel= It's awesome

Hey , it's me Umjar from the telegram channel. I bricked my device trying to flash pe gsi. It's stuck in a bootloop and won't enter recovery or download because I can't get it to shut down. I followed every step flashed everything in right order. Pls help

Hello, thank you for you work! Is it planned to fix hotspot? Thanks.

I'm really interested in this, my biggest regret swapping to Samsung has been the bloat and battery life.
Anyone have any better battery life using GSI? Or worse? How is the battery compared to stock?
TIA.
Battery life is nice so far. Loving PE.

Only Universal SafetyNet Fix ? No MagiskHide Props ?
Because I can't run "props" of MagiskHide I don't know why...
edit : actually fix here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...p-edits-and-more-v6-1-2.3789228/post-86780359
Can pass SafetyNet with just the Universal SafetyNet Fix but my phone is still recognized as rooted. Don't know how to fix this.

It was nice to have stock Android on my S21 but too many bugs on GSIs I gave up. Too bad thank you for your job anyway.

How much does this kernel improve battery life on OneUI?

It's great too see a kernel development for such a popular phone. I am planning to try it out in the next week on my company phone (even if I loose Company Portal access). Are the modifications similar for One UI and GSI version? Thank you!

What bugs did you encounter?

this kernel is going to work in android 13?

Is this stable enough to be used as a daily driver on my s21 exynos? One UI 5.0?
Thank you!
Edit: One week running with this kernel so far OneUi 5, no problems occured.

Any chance to get it for PRA devices ?
Thanks for your continous work on those phones.
Do we have any chance getting one of the PRA devices or does this hi6250 image works on them too ?
Thanks for your precious time,
Erwan,
Thanks for your work on this, got it to boot and it runs perfectly.
How do you suggest I root this rom, I tried magisk but it wouldn't boot afterwards.
My only other issue was that my SD card isn't usable and Android fails to format it.

F.A.Q
Q. Why pre-alpha and all?
The reason why this build is pre-alpha, and in other words, simply unusable, is because deep sleep doesn't work, that means the phone cannot be kept idle (it can be if connected to power source). This is a big issue as it renders other (basic) functionalities useless. I wanted to fix this and then release, but have been out of luck. So I decided to release this anyway, just to let people know that work is being done on getting Lineage 15.x work on Xperia L. Even if this fails big time and the project needs to be abandoned, well atleast the people would get to use whatever worked. Ofcourse I am not giving up yet, unless I really really get frustrated. As of this build, flash it if interested, see how oreo looks like, and then flash back the old rom.
Q. What GApps to flash?
I did not use GApps during my testing, but if you want to use, use opengapps (8.0 ARM). Recommended - pico or micro packages. You do need to modify the installer scripts inside opengapps zip, otherwise installation would fail due to version mismatch.
Changelog
20180610 (Alpha 2)
- Fixed mobile data.
- Fixed issue which caused downloads to fail.
- Updated lineage sources.
20180224 (Alpha 1)

Wow,I was excited, until the moment when my phone turned off and on,every 2 minutes, data transmission not working,I count on amendments in future updates.
Thanks dev.

thank you bro. been waiting for this for a long time, many cheers to you

In oreo, earlysuspend got removed from libsuspend, and our kernel uses used earlysuspend. So during initial boot (that is our kernel using earlysuspend, and no earlysuspend in libsuspend), device won't comeback on after I turn off the display, even if it was connected to power source.
An abandoned patch does exist though, which brings back earlysuspend support back to libsuspend. With that patch applied, device did comeback on after display was turned off, and it would function normally as long as power supply was connected to it (just like how it does now), deep sleep still did not work then.
Since the patch was abandoned, and depending on it would not be appropriate, I decided to bring autosleep in kernel, which I eventually did, deep sleep still doesn't work
Great!
Thanks for your hard working and not giving up :good:
It's worth testing, at least we can see how it looks like
wow this is a good news, but i think with more 800MB ram taoshan should use android go
Thank you for your hard works:angel: Corphish
Hope the bug dies soon
Alpha 1
New build is up.
Changelog
Fixed deep sleep.
Fixed proximity sensor, now all the sensors should be working as usual.
Updated lineage-15.1 sources - Switched from staging/lineage-15.1 branch to lineage-15.1 branch. Some immediate changes you will notice are the new icons and the addition of Lineage setup wizard.
Now that this has graduated from pre-alpha, and the device can stay awake in idle, this makes the alpha build way more usable than the pre-alpha build. If you end up using this, and face bugs that are not mentioned in the "not working" list, please let me know by posting about it in this thread. Logs would be welcome, but a proper way of reproducing it would be good too.
P.S - Firefox still doesn't work ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Links updated in OP.
1. device not booting properly using restart in power options, doesn't respond to any action until battery removed

1. It works fine here, does take a bit of time though. :/
2. Because camera does not work. It will work when camera is fixed.
3. That is because, vold assigns our internal storage name as "7384-14B3" (atleast it looks like that in mine), so storage location for internal storage is "/storage/7384-14B3". Turns out that DownloadManager cannot handle storage locations with such name . Will try to workaround it in the next build.
Now that's awesome and quick. Great work @corpish
I have tried it. It's amazing and fast
But there are some problems
1. Phone restarts when phone get stuck, or when starting camera
2. Music playback stopped when flash light turned on
3. Downloading get unsuccessful in the stock browser
I think other users have already mentioned some of the following problems.( I think the real problem is with the download manager )
4. And there was no gapps for Oreo 8.1.
So I installed a unofficial gapps which was created for 8.1 and the setup keeps closing
I have only noticed these problems yet.
But it's a amazing ROM.
Thanks Corphish

Camera is also working.
In my opinion the battery drain is more less than Stock Samsung ROM (and i installed a lot Google stuff with GApps aroma).
There are two annoying bugs;
-In windows no Drives appaer with usb connection (MTP device is present in device manager)
-No auto brightness.
Maybe someone could help with this two bugs.
It dose not work on my A750F Pie version. The build number is A750FNPUU1BSC4. I tried this rom to flash but I faced with bootloop every time, I tried other versions of GSI also but not worked yet!
Is there any solition? Plz help me!
As you can see in my post, it's for A750FN!

It's not firmware difference. GN, FN, F, G, etc are different HARDWARE versions, so some minor changes are present in every version of phone. That makes it works only on FN

Sorry to ask that annoying question, but do you know if VoLTE and or WiFi Calling are working on any of the GSI ROMs?

Question Does the X3 Pro support project treble?

I'm looking into buying a Poco X3 Pro in the next few days and I'm wondering if I could try loading a Havoc OS GSI onto it once there's a twrp for it. I really don't like mi ui lol.
Our phone seem to work well with gsi roms. I have tried Havoc, Crdroid and Caos. They are all successfully flashed via fastbootd. One common bug of these gsi roms is broken sound but they can be fixed by installing Viper4Android through Magisk. Get the arm64-bgN-userdebug (with gapp and magisk supported) version. The link for havoc-arm64-bgN-userdebug.img is https://sourceforge.net/projects/braiagsi/files/HavocOS/4.3/ .
I have been using Havoc as my daily driver. It is stable and smooth and no bug (except dt2w not working which is a feature not bug) noticed so far for my type of usage.
hey @jngiag, would it be fine if you could give just a brief steps on how to flash one of these roms?

Sure. This is what I have done:-
1) OrangeFox Recovery -> format data
2) In Pc
./fastboot devices
./fastboot reboot fastboot
./fastboot erase system
./fastboot flash system havoc-arm64-bgN-userdebug.img
./fastboot flash boot boot_magisk.img (boot_magisk.img prepared separately)
./fastboot reboot
3) Fix
a) Magisk -> Update magisk
b) Fix “Device is not Play Protect certified”
-> install Device+ID.apk -> get Google Service Framework (GSF)
-> Go to Google’s Device Registration page here and type your GSF ID on the Android ID box and tap Register
c) Viper4Android -> Magisk -> flash ViperFX_Android11.zip -> flash Ainur Narsil
-> Setting -> Phh Treble Settings -> Qualcomm features -> use alternate audio policy (optional for better sound)
d) Refresh Rate Setting -> Qualcomm features -> Misc features -> Force FPS -> [email protected] (optional)
I just flashed HavocOS "bvN" version (minimal). God it's fast without all this crap from xiaomi and google. I can confirm it works as far as I could check for now.
I just wonder - can HavocOS be auto updated ? I haven't found any updater in the OS itself.

Does it pass safetynet?
I finally settled on CAOS. A piece of advice to add to @jngiag post:
1. Sound is distorted even after installing Viper4Android. To overcome this problem head to Settings --> Phh Treble Settings --> Misc Features --> check "Disable audio effects".
2. There is a problem with backllight not behaving correctly. To correct this go to Settings --> Phh Treble Settings --> Misc Features --> check "Force alternative backlight scale".
@Linkfire360 - there are 4 ways to pass safety net in CAOS. Go ahead and read --> https://github.com/eremitein/treble-patches/wiki/CAOS11-Project
Thanks guys for the instructions and tips.
I managed to get crDroid 7.5 (crDrom11) flashed crdrom-v306-210425-arm64-bgZ.img. Had to switch from Pbrp recovery to OrangeFox. With Pbrp the fastboot reboot fastboot didn't activate the fastbootd mode. Flashed also the miui boot.img patched by magisk.
Sound works fine, following the above tips. Adaptive brightness is a mess, usually too bright, sometimes too dark, even with the Force alternative backlight scale ticked. But it was like this also on Miui. Phone is encrypted. SE Linux is enforcing, Play store is certified with Magisk Props module and Poco X3 Pro fingerprint. DRMInfo shows L1 Widevine, but Netflix shows L3 and and only SD quality playback. DT2W does not work, even with phh treble settings - xiaomi features - DT2W enabled set. Wifi display - casting screen to Sony ATV works, chromecast also works. Android Auto works. All 4 lenses work with NGCam_7.4.104-v2.0. Charging info seems to be incorrect on lockscreen, when fast charging with original charger. Charging speed seems to be correct.
Haven't yet tested call/call recording/mobile data/NFC contactless payment functionality. Edit: NFC payment works.
Updating to new build with fastboot flash system and wiping cache worked fine.

CherishOS also works by dirty flash over HavocOS.
You may also try using the new twrp by just "fastboot boot TWRP-3.5.1-vayu-Nebrassy-1.img" (keep the OrangeFox as permenant recovery) and flash it like normal recovery. Use fastbootd with OrangeFox as a combination if necessary. If gapp could be flashed separately (as what I tried on vanilla Arrow), more choices of gsi roms (vanilla version) will be available then.
Anyone attempted installing gsi rom with 12.0.6 vendor? Any new issue?
Can we flash gsi directly from twrp ?

No, phone has to be in fastbootd mode, where you can get with "fastboot reboot fastboot" command. You have to have quite recent fastboot binary/exe which supports this - download latest Android platform tools. Also the recovery on the phone has to support fastbootd, OrangeFox does.

I tried the vanilla version of Crdroid (crdrom-v306-210428-arm64-bvZ) and flashed gapp separately using new twrp. No issue from vendor 12.0.6. Very nice rom.

I flashed the Crdrom version with gapps. It has the Google Phone app by default. I can't seems to find the call recording functionality in there. Maybe not available in my region. Does the vanilla phone app have call recording?
Anyhow, 3rd party Cube ACR seems to record okay.
My banking apps work, streaming apps DisneyPlus and Prime Video work too. Only regrets so far is the Widevine L3 and SD quality in Netflix and the bad adaptive brightness behaviour.
Crdrom11 GSI seems to have a dedicated xda thread too:

Will any GSI work ex. those from Phh's list or it has to be "modified" first to work with X3 Pro?
I'm thinking about flashing Pixel Experience+ (or normal) from Braialindo repo
Also - is 90hz max or is 120hz also available somewhere?
Thanks

I can't answer you as I have moved to another rom. Likely it should be the same as the gapp version. CrDroid must be very popular and good to have a dedicated thread on it.

It is trial and error. There are more not working uaually end up in boot loader or boot loop mode. So far my known list of working gsi are:
1) Havoc (Braialindo)
2) Cherish (Braialindo) - Only if dirty flashed over Havoc
3) Crdroid R Mod (eremitein)
4) Caos (eremitein)
Version : arm64-bgz; arm64-bvz; arm64-ab-gapps; similar but vanilla version
Please share if you have additional.

Hi, OrangeFox didn't have access to data partition, so I doubt the full restore will work. I have not tested restore nor backup. Maybe it works with the new TWRP? Anyone willing to test? I already started to use this as my primary device, so do not want to experiment anymore.
Second Crdrom charge cycle with 1 sim, seems to give about 12-13h SOT, over 2 day period for my usage.

Development [EOL][ROM][OneUI 4.1] RayOS v4.1.3 for Galaxy A52 [SM-A525G/F]

RayOS v4.1.3 for Samsung Galaxy A52OneUI 4.1 is released and so is RayOS. Not gonna lie, OneUI 4.1 seems pretty smooth. Good job Samsung.
Added a few things/fixes. Can't think of what to add next, will probably focus on better installation process.
Note: I will shift my focus to my S21 FE port from now on. Therefore, this ROM is now EOL
You can check out my S21FE port here: RayOS S21 FE Port

Supported variants!
SM-A525F
SM-A525M
Features!
Based on January 2022 update (A525FXXS4BVA2)
Based on March 2022 update (A525FXXU4BVC2)
Allow screenshots on secure apps
Fixed Private Share and Secure Wifi
Secure Folder fixed
Outdoor mode added
Smart Widgets
Object, reflection and shadow eraser
Debloated
Edge Lighting fully enabled
Smart View fixed
Higher audio quality (Disabled DRC, which deeply compresses audio)
Disabled Samsung Marketing
High-End Animations (though I don't think this makes a lot of difference) (turns out, there actually is a slight difference in app opening/closing animation)
Enhanced pocessing (this also probably doesn't do anything, but give it a try)
CSC Features like:
Stock call recording
Speed meter on statusbar
Spam call blocker
Multiple users in settings
Added camera privacy toggle to remove camera access across apps
Added HDR10+ lines (improves effect in HDR content)
Added controlling watch (probably won't work)
Added optional AOD to clock animation. Avoid using it with FOD. You can disable it in the installer.
Sources!I decided to show my work so to speak on GitHub. You can see the list of all the apps I removed and all the lines that were added to camera and floating features. Feel free to take a look and make pull requests if you want me to add something on potential future releases.

Kernel source: Samsung Open Source
Bugs!
Samsung Health is also not working. The tima=0 fix doesn't work in Android 12. Some older versions have been reported to be working. You can download the working version of Samsung Health from here: https://adil.hanney.org/SamsungAppsPatcher/ (thanks to @SkylinesHD for pointing to this on his repo)
I included the March kernel in the installer. This is causing some problems with AOD. If you have this problem, install a custom kernel like riseKernel and you should be good. This is an interesting bug. Found out this bug only happens when you install any stock kernels from February and onward without flashing the whole firmware. It seems Samsung added changes to AOD outside of kernel and system. The reason riseKernel works in this case is because it's based on OneUI 4.0 (January) and does not depend on the extra changes Samsung added. So if you're facing this problem with stock kernel, either fully update your phone via Odin (Feb or March patch) or just install riseKernel

RayOS v4.1 by ShaDisNX255
RayOS v4.1.2 by ShaDisNX255
Prequisites
Update your phone to Android 12. This ROM doesn't work with Android 11 bootloader as of now.
OrangeFox build 11.1_2 for Android 12 installed
Being unencrypted (recommended)
Instructions!
Add zip to either internal memory or SD card
OPTIONAL but recommended: Format data. This will erase media too.
Flash zip via custom recovery
Be sure to select the option to install OneUI 4.1 first
After it's finished, reboot your phone to recovery and flash the zip again
This time in the installation, select the option to install RayOS 4.1
Follow instructions and make the selections based on your preference
REQUIRED: After the ROM installation is complete, flash Services_disabler_v1.3.zip
OPTIONAL: Flash riseKernel and Magisk
EXTRA STEP: After the ROM is booted for the first time, install the SecSettings Magisk Module. This includes edits to add Outdoor mode and removing a few useless options from it. Without it, you will not have these features
Why was it done this way? I don't know the specifics of it, but some edits mess with the app's signature (what does this mean? I don't care enough to know lol). All you need to know is that on some essential apps like SecSettings and SystemUI you can't just mess with its signature and expect Android to be ok with it so they die when you use these apps with modified signatures after you clean wipe your phone. This can be fixed by disabling signature check, but as of right now I don't have any guide on how to disable it on Android 12 xd. So for now, just use this Magisk module. After SecSettings runs for the first time, replacing it with a SecSettings with modified signature works, that's why it was done this way. Lazy? Yes.
Spoiler: Older version instructions
Add zip to either internal memory or SD card
OPTIONAL: Format data. This will erase media too.
Flash via custom recovery. If you get an error "can't get OMC path" during your installation just reboot to recovery and try again. This is a small bug with Dynamic Installer.
Wait a few minutes, pay attention to the screen after 5 minutes, because it will ask you if you want to install AOD to lockscreen clock animation.
Flash Services Disabler v1.3
(Recommended) Wipe data so you can begin with a clean installation
When installation is finished, just reboot to system
Total installation time can take up to 10 minutes
