Question Annoying digital clock getting in the way all the time - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Hi all, I tried to look for a thread of this issue but could not find one.
Any time I use Google Assistant or get a notification for which I need more than 5 seocnds to read, I get this annoying digital clock screen which covers the notifications or stops Google Assistant in the middle of an answer. It just pops out of nowhere in the most inconvenient times. I tried increasing time out times and other display settings but it just continues to intrude.
Is there a way to get rid of it? Why would Samsung put something that blocks their own notifications???

nope and it hurts me too.

Yeh, it's a rediculous feature!

It's awful, almost ruins the watch.

absolutely the worst "feature" implemented by someone who clearly doesn't use a smartwatch

I got the same problem. Why Samsung? WHY???

Maybe someone knows an email to Samsung where we can just all spam for this issue and few more ? Or we should just mass spam on facebook or something like that cause it seems that samsung doesn't care about anything. I dont even get an option "contact us" in my wearable app , idk why perhaps because i dont use samsung phone? .
Edit: is it me or they kinda fixed it on new update ?
Edit2: Yep it is a bit less annoying but still there.

i've raised a support case with Samsung over this. classic clueless 1st line support and now they're asking me to return the device for inspection by an engineer.

by who? I dont believe in engineers in Samsung
Tell them that engineer should have access to some test watches but if they are willing to pay for borrowing yours it will be 50$ per day.

i ended up questioning it several times. they suggested it is proximity sensor related but have escalated it to a manager who is going to give me a ring. i'll make a couple of videos to send them so they're fully aware of what the issue is.

idk a freking token maybe or sms or just by assigning device to your account so you can log on it and boom dont need to format your watch anymore?
For me it is just stupid that i cant connect my watch with i unlocked by a pin code and with has my samsung and google accounts log in to my phone on with i have my same google and samsung accounts log in after phone format or phone change.
Wear os is not that new it is from when 2014 ? So let Samsung figure this out ; ) or google.

Anyone made Log?
Or found what exactly is activated?
I mean some adb logcat action and/or *#9900#
Maybe it is possible to remove/disable problem...

Edit 1.
Is somebody able to make Photo or Screenshot or Video of this problem?
Because I still have no own GW4...

I know that this is not security nothing can change it even if you put more dots in your posts.
And ofc there are some easy ways to make it less painfull. They can just add user apps to a backup and boom it will be 80% less painful.
Ok iam done for now.

Updating HTC Arrive to Mango beta

How many people have done it? I'm doing it right now. Step 2 of 9 for the actual beta update...my goodness..it takes a while but it should be worth it.
I'm doing it the way that doesn't require a dev unlocked phone or dev account btw.
Damn that texting bug!! It's still there (kinda). You can keep on typing after 160 characters..just can't send anything.
Hi, how do you get the mango realse?
Hi know that comes out to all developrs on market place, butt i see that you get it in other way...
Can you tell me how you get? E really want to put mango in my htc 7 pro.
Thanks

Yeah for real right? I hope it's fixed by the time Mango goes gold
Update went off without a hitch on two Arrives. Developer unlocked them and then ran that provision.exe file to backup/flip the switch to flag the update to come down.
I think the texting thing is a sprint ROM issue. So yeah, I don't think a fix will come until the Sprint Mango update is released.
Trying this on my HTC Arrive right now.
The final 7661 build is installing now!
I will update you guys when complete, if all goes well...
Alex
EDIT: Successful, sweet!
Mine works great non unlocked method
Sent from my arrive using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Update OK but
Update was OK, but I am seeing some issues, I am not sure if they are on all Mango phones.
a.) Screen does not go black (off) when taking a call. Thi is bad, because your ear is pressing buttons on the screen, mainly Hold
b.) custom ringtones work now, but they are still low in volume
c.) battery life, not as good as before Mango
d.) proboems with downloading email atatchements (does not work most of the time)
still missing some stuff:
a.) interface to configure phone network settings like, time before switching to voice box,...
b.) send a full contact to another phone
any other know issues or new features detected ?

I did see something I'd not seen before in email:
"This type of message is not supported by current version of Windows Phone."
As far as I can tell it's just a normal e-mail oddly enough, though I think it was digitally signed. I downloaded a picture attachment just fine though, maybe it's the type?
The no unlock process is on windowsphonehacker dot com Follow the directions. You actually update the phone 2 times. After the first time it says there is another update. The 2nd one is Mango. Literally takes an hour.
I'm using it on a HTC Arrive right now. No crashing or weird stuff for me yet.
done it yesterday, it took me about two hours, no problem
I am missing:
Czech QWERTY keyboard
different notifications for sms and IM (I don't want the phone to vibrate for every IM message, but it would be nice to vibrate when stand-by mode)
already put mango in my htc 7 pro and it is amazing, very fast, good performance and a lot of new things.
I like it very much, and the performance of the IE9 is amazing, very fast load the pages. i think is the best improvement in mango. The IE9 is the best browser i try until today.
i have no problem with the SMS about the number of character, until now everything i use must is running perfect.
think the wp7 is getting better and better.
Just gave Mango a shot on my Arrive. So far everything is working after a little setup and it all works flawelessly. Love it so far.

I have Czech too, but it is QWERTZ not QWERTY, and no option to change it, also when I pop out the HW keyboard the layout changes back to ENG - therefore preventing me from typing characters like čřžšě. Anyone else has problem with this??
Will try the different statuses behavior, but what I meant was: when you chat with someone and you are on the messaging screen it is not necessary to notify every message because you see what is happening.
Updated using non-dev process. Took 2 hours but works flawlessly. Posting from my Sprint HTC Arrive while eating phad tai...so spicy.
Any concerns by anyone that the unlock process (which I haven't read the steps yet) will lock you out of future updates in the same way that the previous WP7 unlocks did?
I've got a Dev account (a couple of free apps in the marketplace), but that's limited to three phones and I've got 5 phones at home.....want to upgrade everyone.
You mean looking before you leap? Thats crazy! Come on in, the waters fine. Maybe you remember that old tale from "Scary stories to tell in the dark" - Room for One More...muahahaha

If you're worried- september 22nd is the Mango drop date on the street. I'm sure we will see something non-beta around here shortly before that.
There is a process on windowsphonehacker to go back to NoDo.

New S8+ with google FRP problem

Hi All,
I've just received my new S8+ Coral Blue (Korean LGU Plus branded) SM-G955N that I had bought online from Kogan.com.au. I was alittle devastated to see that upon trying to log into it with my Google account, the dreaded "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device" error has occured.
What I've tried:
I've tried factory resetting through stock recovery, but this didnt help.
I've went ahead and downloaded the stock firmware from Sammobile (sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s8/SM-G955N/LUC/download/G955NKSU1AQDG/129793/) and flashed it through Odin. I've made sure to flash everything - the AP, BL, CP, Home CSC but the issue is still present.
Is there anyway to get rid of this damned error without rooting or voiding warranty?
Please help!

Ok....heres a different way....when you reach at the add account pop up....type any random word and hold it down until you get another pop up then tap on assist....when the google app pop up type test dpc and download it when you complete that contact me
Do you know which software the phone is currently on? You should be able to find the version it's currently on in the recovery menu.
There's only one descent solution:
Return the phone where you bought it and:
1. ask there the log-in account
2. ask for a new phone
You'll never pass FRP (and that's a good thing, in case the phone has been stolen)

Ugh, is this really the only thing to do?. I dont think they would know the login account as I bought it from an online retailer shop. The box wasn't opened and all the stickers on the box were still there (until I opened the box of course).
Theres videos of people passing FRP online. I do believe there would be a way around this. But if it comes to it I can always return it.

So what are you thinking?. The phone is fake or some Samsung engineer logged into it before factory resetting it or something?

Flash the combo fw and eng boot. Should fix your problem
Honestly its quicker and easier for you to return it to Kogan ASAP and get a working replacement *fingers crossed* in your hands quicker.
If anyone is claiming to have a quick fix on YouTube I would be apprehensive and venture to guess that they're just out to make a quick buck off of some unsuspecting suckers. It seems there was some method for the s7 on MM but after some light reading I am under the impression that this method doesn't work on Android 7.0 Nougat.
There may legitimately be a fix out there somewhere but I feel like I would have seen it by now when you include other threads where this FRP question has been brought up. Again I could be wrong but I still think it's just not worth the effort tbh.

[FRP] [Samsung Reactivation] Bypass - Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920V 7.0

FRP Samsung Reactivation Lock
I'm doing this on a Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920V Android 7.0
Hard Reset Phone.
Boot into Android.
Goto emergency dialer and dial 112.
As soon as it starts dialing click bluetooth and pair a headset.
After this go and enable wifi.
Next push the button on your headset and select the bottom left G icon for google.
Now you can access the web / apps etc.
Goto settings by saying "settings" and if it doesn't show then scroll over right to "in apps" (bar below the URL on the browser) and select settings..
Then Settings> Backup and Reset> click Factory Reset and follow through with it. You should end up on a Samsung account entry screen. Put a Samsung account in and then go to Accounts and make sure it is there. Reboot your phone.
When the phone has rebooted go through setup to the end then to Settings> Accounts and remove the Samsung account. You'll notice you get an error saying invalid id or password.
Go to the browser and type in https://www.4shared.com/s/fG7xZS8Rfgm download and install and run. Search for Samsung Account, click and expand it, scroll down to you see the string ending in .EmailUpdatesView and click on it. Click Try it.
Okay now were almost done. It should bring up a screen titled Change Email ID. Look at the bottom of this screen and you will notice a delete account link. Click this, enter your password and remove your account.
Done. Successfully removed.
I haven't yet figured out a way to totally remove it so this is just a temporary bypass. If you reset your phone you will have to do the whole process over again. I will post additional info to completely remove it or new steps once i figure it out.
I don't have a bluetooth headset but, do you think this method would work for my situation? I would buy one if so.

I did this on the Verizon variant. Shouldn't be much different. What i would do is buy a bluetooth headset and give it a try and if it doesn't work you can always take it back. =]
I can remove it completely for a small fee if interested. Different method than above and for sure completely gone when i'm done. Just pm me.

I updated my post. I bought these, and it doesn't work. Does it have to be a bluetooth headset? Or will bluetooth headphones with a mic work? I am on 7.0 now.
Also, I would be willing to pay. How much and what's the process? Do I have to send the phone or is it something you can do over teamviewer or something? Thanks man.

My friend found a Galaxy S6 edge phone somewhere at town hall, he wait about 3 days and nobody call the phone. Phone is locked by fingerprint and password. He did factory reset and locked to Samsung Account Log in. He gave the phone to me about a month ago. Long time I did not play with phone and after reading pages of android forums and articles, i just know about FRP. I have tried nomorous method and nothing success. I can register with google account on set up. Landed on this page and 4 shared link above is not work. Tried to flash what named combination rom to get boot into factory binary. Can not get thru due to blocked by R/L (Reactivation Lock).
I own and used daily S7 flat, happy knowing that not easy to bypass this samsung anti-theft feature. But this also trapped many people who bought used samsung phone and the previous owner did not reset properly and uncontactable LOL

The 4shared link I believe was for "quick shortcut maker" you can google this and find it. This was also not a 100% method of bypassing. I think I did another tutorial somewhere on here explaining the full method. You might try searching my posts for it. I'd link you but I am working and don't have the time to search.

Question Is it possible to extract passwords from a device?

I don't speak English, I hope you can understand me.
My mom uses a huawei y3 II LUA-L21. The touch stopped working. The cell phone starts normally.
I buy a new cell phone. however she does not remember the password of facebook, google etc.
could take the cell phone to a technician to repair the touch, which would lose the sense of having bought a new one.
Any solution?
Note.
They know a custom rom for Samsung Galaxy A01 Core. I didn't find one here.
Setup a new phone should do the trick for you, as for your touch problem you can just buy an OTG cable and use the mouse on it.

Unfortunately that's all that can be actually helpful to you.
You only have two choices now:
Try data recovery softwares like dr.fone.
Take it to a service center.

Samsung S10+ Hacked by soon to be ex-wife

I need help. Phone has been hacked by my ex. All my conversations are being recorded 24hrs a day if in range of my phones microphone. Don't know how to stop it. Tried all avenues of help through work and carrier with no help provided. Appreciate any advice on what to try. Thanks.
sounds like your wife is the one getting scammed by paying someone for free apps
What I have seen though from the free apps is you can turn a mic on, find location, and take pictures. I haven't seen an app that can record everything you say within phone range 24 hrs a day. Plus after all the times I have reset my phone I have never restored it from a backup so I don't know how a free app could be on my phone.
That's way too much drama info that means nothing... I got a headache skim reading it
Change your Google account password on a secure PC.
Have the phone(s) firmware reflashed.
Be careful what you load.
Do whatever is needed to secure your PCs and data. Don't use either until proven clean.
Use only Gmail for email service and download only from trusted sources. If not sure, don't download it!
This isn't rocket science.
Thanks for the reply. Sorry, you are right, I did get carried away with my post. Just extremely frustrated after months of dealing with this issue. The only thing I haven't tried is re-flashing firmware. Thanks for the advice. I will try that.
im no laywer nor am i pretending to be
destory all her eletronics so she cant spy on your ****
so you just do a factory reset ? in stock recovery or in twrp how are you wiping ?? well theres not much you can do if your wife has phsycal access to your phone and this app is probably a system app or something so it doesent go away and if you constantly wipe your phone you cant do much
you can encrypt / passcode it but that can be bypassed with a factory reset
you should flash stock recovery
but devices seince android 5.0 lolipop have a frp lock you can ensure that a frp lock means when you do a factroy reset you have to do a google sign in for the first time only the first time tho
i would just divorce and leave her and XXXXX
Mod Edit: Edited
but this is a tech forum not a relationship advice
also you should not trust your pc either you should reinstall windows and use a ubuntu cd /dvd/usb/whatever storage media like usb hdd/ssd whatever

If I have my phone near me. If I leave in another room out of mic (microphone) range conversations are not recorded.

can you see an option to disable sensors in developer option if you dont see dev option go about phone software info hit build number 7 times
go to dev option quick setting developer tile click sensors off then when you slide down you will see a option to disable sensors but it also means that things like camera will not work
cameras, microphone, accelerometer, gyroscope, and more will be disabled
do you see a icon in app menu in settings like supersu or magisk or superuser or and suspicious apps
eg an app with no name and no icon try deleteing or disable thoes apps and unroot in magisk or supersu or superuser try installing a root checker as well (the one from joeykrim)
make sure that there no root access go to system status in about phone does it say offical or custom
(custom bad )
boot into download mode (look up how to on your device)
is the flash counter anything but 0
is knox warrenty status 0x0 or 0x1
(0x1 bad)
(flash counter 1 or higher bad)
reflash stock firmware download on your computer boot into download mode use odin and flash
(google for more in depth and links)
have you rooted the device yourself?
infact that mic virus u got wouldent need root perms better safe than sorry
(it might spy on you other ways with root and or presesitance using root perms)

Yeah if malware is present it could override permissions. You need to start over with a clean load.
Reflashing the firmware guarentees this; no rootkit can survive that.

Phone has not been rooted. Knox status is still zero (just rechecked). I did turn off all sensors for awhile, but that got annoying. I went through all apps and did not see any suspicious apps. Used multiple apps to look for spyware with none found. When all this started my s9 went missing. Is there anyway that the phone can be cloned to another phone? She does have a friend who is a software engineer with background in apple and android os that from hearsay got caught doing the same thing to his exwife. That is why I am more interested in a way in finding how it is being done and catching them since in Texas it is illegal to record conversations as a 3rd party. I don't really care if she listens to me. Mostly it is me in my truck driving singing poorly. It is more of the how it is being done that is frustrating me. She told me once they got me by me clicking a link on facebook that was sent to me and I guess I didn't think twice about clicking it. I am usually really cautious about things like that, but I more conputer literate then phone apps literate I've learned my lesson now I guess. I will try reflashing firmware. Would rooting and flashing a diffrent ROM help do you think? Thanks for the feedback.
Get off FB... it's malware.
Reflash to the stock rom unless you don't like it. Go with the latest Android version for it if you want the most security.
Lol, you should know better by now to trust anything she says... let her eat silence.
Silence is the most sincere form of scorn.

You are correct. I no longer have facebook. I don't use any social media apps. I have learned my lesson the hardway.
