Hi guys I own a Motorola G4 Play 2016 (Harphia). I am having a hard time unlocking the bootloader for my device. I went on Motorlas bootloader unlock page. Then I followed all the steps to get the string of numbers and letters from my bootloader. Then I enter them in the verify box and it says my device is not qualified for bootloader unlocking. I don't know what to do I really want to root my device. The reason is to install Lineage Os and TWRP. I've tried rooting apps but they fail is that because of my bootloader. Also a side not it says my device is locked status 0. Any help would be great or other wise I will have someone from a root online based company root and unlock my phone. Thanks for the help
Hi.
I know that my device is bootloader locked (Was on O2) and I would like to root it. However I would like to keep Android 7.11. Is there a temporary root for it? I know there was for Android 5 and 6.
Also someone else on the forum managed to get their bootloader unlock to yes. If there is a paid for utility that does that I would pay for it.
Many Thanks,
-MegaBytesMe
Hey,
Is it possible to root trt-lx1? i tried all free one click apps but they don't work
I would prefer a root without unlocked bootloader but if its only possible with unlocking it its fine but i don't want to pay for it :/
Any way possible?
thanks
Guess not?
You cannot root a device without unlocking the bootloader first
Officially you can not unlock the bootloader of any Huawei device as Huawei shut down their bootloader unlocked code site claiming it will give users better stability user experience & security
Obviously that's all rubbish (with the exception of security in parts) & the real reason is they want full control over your device
Some older Huawei devices can be bootloader unlocked using old firmware before Huawei patched it to make the "hack" that allowed bootloader unlocking possible without their site - please search Google or look through the forum to see if this applies to your device (but you will probably need to downgrade firmware if that's possible)
This is also the likely reason why Huawei xda forums for this device is dead
Hello,
I am looking for help on how to root my SM-G950U1 phone. I can't seem to find OEM Unlock in my developer options. What should I do if I want to root my phone?
To root a phone's Android device's bootloader must not be unlocked: this is a widespread misconception.
I have a Samsung A12 and I can't root it in fact I can't get anything to work I have never rooted a phone before can someone plz help my oem is not showing up either.
welcome to xda. in order for your phone to be unlocked, you have to unlock your bootloader.
has that been done yet? if not, do you know what that is?

No I've heard of it but I'm not sure sorry
To root a device's Android it's NOT required that device's bootloader gets unlocked.

is that so? i always needed to unlock my bootloader in order to flash roms and magisk. but i know a lot has changed recently. maybe there's some exploit that allows you to root without needing to flash anything. hopefully you're not talking those suspicious apps like kingroot or whatever.
Take note that Android OS is rooted when SU binary is present within it. Android OS has NOTHING to do with device's bootloader ( what is comparable to BIOS of a Windows PC ).
