Just got a us/cricket a32 5g.
So far it's good.
For the first in like a decade it doesn't have the clock as a screensaver option.
I use this as my alarm clock every night. Anyway to fix/add one?
I think I fixed it by installing Google clock

Hey,
been racking my brain like pool balls trying to figure this out. Is there a way to modify the lockscreen or is there another lockscreen that will display a countdown to the next alarm when enabled? Similar to what S2U2 did for winmo 6.5, I like being able to switch on the screen and see (6:30am, 8hours, 23minutes) so I know how much longer until the next alarm goes off..alternatively if such a mod/lockscreen doesn't exist how about a live wallpaper or widget that does this that I could combine with a transparent lockscreen or disable the lockscreen to see the countdown timer..
thanks,
Tweak
edit: I have a telus HTC Desire with android 2.1 if that matters..
So..noone knows of an app for this eh? That sucks..I tried Final Countdown, and it will do a countdown to a time that yuo can set, so if I set it for the same time as my alarm it is a bit of a workaround, but it needs to be set everyday and doesnt show on the lcokscreen, just as a widget..
Good. Another would be interested but it seems that there is nothing ...
When clicking on the clock widget it opens to the world clock by default.
Is there a way to change this action so it will open to another option, say the alarm or the timer...?
nope theres no other way
Yea the timer or alarm would be more frequently used for me than the world clock.
For me I'm not a jet setter!
I found a work-around solution, but I'm pretty sure this will only work if you are rooted. I'm currently using an HTC Sensation 4G, running the Elegancia ROM. I use Root Explorer and SQLite Editor (both available in the Android store. They are not free, but well worth the price!)
Here's what I did:
Open data/data/com.htc.android.worldclock/databases
Open the carousel.db
Open the tasks table
Edit the is_removable field, changing the 0 to 1 for the World Clock and the Desk Clock
I then went into the Clock application, removed the World Clock and Desk Clock tabs, moved the alarm to the first slot, and when I re-opened, the alarm popped up first. I didn't try just reordering the various clocks with the World Clock and Desk Clock remaining in the tabs.
Hope this helps somebody!
I use my alarm everyday but an annoy feature is when I click on clock it always takes me to the world clock which I don't need. Any way to default to alarm clock when hitting the clock app? Thanks.
If you press and hold the alarm clock, you can rearrange the order and have it first.
Hope this helps.
Great tip I never knew! Still if you open clock or click the clock on weather widget it goes to world clock
Yes, just noticed this, tried reloading the clock widget, still no go.
Annoying.
Maybe this has been an android thing or a while but i had not see it before and very cool...
So i put the icon for the alarm clock on my desktop ...the Icon itself is a stylized analog clock face
I just noticed that the two hands on the clock icon actually move and keep the correct time !
it's been there on samsung devices atleast for a while. I saw this first on my note 5

Yes, i found this out sometime last year. People thought i was crazy until they understood what i was saying.
The calendar app says the date and clock says the time.

That explains why hadn't seen before just upgraded from a Note 4
The Clock and Calendar icons being like that is just a really nice touch
yeah. that was cool. and I like all other icons on s8+ but I like note 5 clock and calender icons more.
Hello,
on my last phone i had lineage OS and i really liked the cLock widget. Now on my new phone (pure android) i'd like to have something like that too. I'm fine with the stock google clock widget, but the cLock widget showed the calendar entries for the day in green and those for the next day in grey. I read about Chronus that should be similar to cLock but it isn't. It shows calendar Entries only for the next 12 hours and not all from today + all from tomorrow in a different color.
Anyone who knows an widget that may fit my wishes?
