Hi guys, my situation is the following:
I took alot of portrait mode pictures on a Samsung Note 8 (it was called "Live Focus") and on a Xiaomi Mi 9t Pro and a Google Pixel 5.
Now I try to collect all my pictures in one place, but the problem is, that I have no tool to edit all sort of portrait pictures. For example if I find a picture that I like, but I want to adjust the portrait mode effect, I need to find the right phone and edit it on that phone. That's far from ideal.
Is there any way to edit the portrait mode effect "bookeh" of all these pictures in one single app? No matter if it is an Android/iOS/Windows app. Or is there a way to remove the bookeh on all pictures at once? That would also help, because there are apps that can generate the bookeh afterwards, if I want it.

Hi guys,
I have recently updated to the latest firmware (the 69MB "bug fix" ** , not jelly bean), and I have the following findings in S Note....
- No more options to hide tool bar, workspace significantly shrink
- My palm zooms the page every 20 seconds even though ink only mode is on
- Unable to "import" images in with landscape ratio as the note background. the gallery assumes that I want to crop a portrait image
- Which means that I have to rely on "Change background" when the note is opened, and change it EVERYTIME I add a new page
- If I close the landscape note, reopen it later, 7 time out of 10 the "change background" menu is greyed out, and 3 times out of 10 I have to select the image from gallery again.
-Import PDF finally works, but it converts my lecture slide pdfs to pixelated images of text...
I think there is a similar thread for GN8000 update, but is this what happens too? I really appreciate it if anyone can share any insights or suggestions as to how to fix the above inconvenience. I use S Note everyday and changing background every page I add is just too much for me. Portrait I tend to run out of horizontal space... Moreover, is it possible to simply install the apk of the old S Note? Will it work like before the update?
Many Thanks.
I knew I wasn't crazy! I thought something had changed in S-Note. The only thing that has actually been bugging me has been the screen resizing with my wrist. I always have to be super careful to make sure the tip of the pen is near the screen first and then I can rest my wrist. I'm sure other things have changed but I only use it to take notes at work so I always just use the default background.

I would think you could extract it from your previous rom or Titanium backup and install it in place of the latest one without issue.

No. There's associated files that would need be downgraded too. When I installed the newer APK on my Note without the associated files it crapped out. You can flash the old ROM you originally had via Odin. You should be able to find it and instructions in the dev section. Hopefully there will be an enhanced 2.0 version of S-Note in the JB update.
Hello everyone,
I found a serious problem together with some users from HTC Taiwan fans group.
How to reproduce:
1. Set Edge Sense shortcut as short squeeze to launch HTC camera (the default);
2. Screen off;
3. Use Edge Sense short squeeze to launch camera;
4. Take a photo;
5. Tap on the photo you just took (on the bottom right corner if in portrait mode)
6. Delete the photo
7. And tell me what's happening on your phone. "Ta-da", lol
Personally I think it's another compatibility problem between HTC and Google Photos. Before v3.2 it's the lag problem while deleting unsynced photos in Google Photos, now it seems Google fixed the lag, but introduced another problem... If you guys have some thoughts, do share down below in the comments.
Thank you.
Update: happens on HTC 10 too if using shortcut to launch the camera.
Me too. I experienced this problem before but I can't replicate it and find the cause until I read your post.
Thanks for sharing.
My phone also has the problem when take the photo then tab on the latest photo to review, however, the screen shows the black screen with camera icon then switch back to camera app again.
I have to tab on the latest photo icon again to review the picture.
Anyone experience this?

Definitely is Google photo update.
Google Camera Port by BSG and @sannn111ty for the Poco f1
If you don't really know why you are here, You can download Gcam here. Gcam is short for Google's camera app that ships with the pixels. Google has been making incredible advances in camera software that they put on their Pixel devices. Most of the magic of the camera quality of pixel's reside in the High Dynamic Range google algorithms. However, this software is not officially available for other devices. BSG is the first developer to have adapted Gcam for other devices. He now has a MI 8, which is very siùilar to the Pocophone, so his ports actually work pretty well on this phone.
Here is a list of the features that make google's software stand apart from all the other stock and 3rd party camera apps. (Not all of them are available in the ports, but more appear with time).
HDR + and HDR+ Enhanced: That's what most people want Gcam for. The app takes multiple pictures at different exposure levels and combines them to get even lighting. This photography technique is available on many stock cams, but Google's custom implementation of it is generally regarded as highly superior.
Super Res Zoom: That is a "usebug" feature. When you're taking a picture, unless you have a tripod, you can't hold the phone perfectly still. Google uses this slight movement to take multiple shots, which are then combined to make out more detail for the final image. Where other OEMs add a second camera, Google gives better results with just one.
Night Sight: where HDR combines multiple under-exposed shots, Night Sight does the same thing with over-exposed and longer exposed images. This produces impossible-before shots with way less noise and blur in very low-light conditions. In Daylight, Night Sight Mode also applies Super res Zoom to the image, giving a lot more detail to your pictures.
ZSL HDR+: ZSL stands for Zero Shutter Lag. As HDR uses multiple pictures, you need to wait for the phone to snap those multiple shots. ZSL essentially means your phone is always taking pictures and has a couple already buffered when you hit the shutter, so you don't need to wait.
Portrait Mode: That's blurring that background of an image behind a face. this is a trend on smartphones, and most OEMs implement it by adding a second camera on the back. the two sensors produce a slightly different image and you can calculate from the difference where to blur the image. But Google has decided not to add a second sensor to their phones. The way they pull it off is by local Artificial intelligence to detect faces and blur the rest.
Photosphere: This is essentially a 360° Panorama. You point around you and the phone takes, then stitches together, multiple images in a sphere around you. You can then view the pictures by moving them around with your fingers, or moving around your phone like a window around you.
Panorama: That is self-explanatory. like everything else, Gcam takes excellent panoramas.
Video Recording: Gcam Records video at up to [email protected]
Slow-Motion: this port can take slow-motion videos at up to [email protected]
Top Shot: Google's AI is now so good it know what a good image is like. If you hit the shutter too Soon or too late, Google will suggest another shot. It will actually take a dozen out of which you can choose, but will also suggest the best one.
Photobooth: As the camera is continually shooting and waiting for you to tap the shutter, why couldn't it do this for you too? Once Photobooth is on, you just leave your phone and it will take the picture on its own when it "sees something interesting", like a smile. Essentially, it's an AI photograph for group shots where everyone can fit in and lets you use the back sensor instead of the selfie cam.
Tracking Autofocus : As the name implies, once you click on an object while filming, it will keep the focus on it however it moves.
I am not a developer, but the subforum is for gcam ports, so here is the one for the Pocophone, with instructions and
Go to this thread, wich always has the last version up.
You are welcome to post your amazing pictures here :
These ports are specifically made for the Pocophone F1. They might or might not work on your phone.
If you find that our APK's work well on your other model, you can open a thread for your phone to help others find a working APK faster and discuss model-specific issues.
If you have bugs, something isn't working correctly, please don't just post "Not Working !!!!" That doesn't help. Give details :
- The model of your Phone, your ROM if you're using one, any fixes installed;
- The name of the apk you're using;
- Screenshots or video recordings of the bug if you're able to;
- A logcat if there's a crash;
- Steps to reproduce the bug/crash;

Try flashing twrp fix bro. It fixed my issue.
Try installing MIUI 10 v10.2.2.0 or higher , it should fix most of problems with gcam
Love this camera ...
I installed gcam and flashed twrp fix. I was using 10.1.3.0
After 10.2 I updated it and flashed twrp fix again for the lag issue.
Now I noticed that portrait mode is not working in stock camera. ?
i downloaded and it seems fine ...
Confused a bit, what is the difference between this and the one here :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/themes/b-s-g-google-camera-port-developed-mi-8-t3843130
Update to miui 10.2.2.0 i installed the same version of gcam on miui 10.1.3.0 and it didnt work i manually updated to miui 10.2.2.0 and it worked to install it just use android studs guide
Maybe a dumb question.? How is "Motion" in GCam working? Is it working at all? I have never found any of these short videos. Where are they stored? I'm using a Pocophone F1.
Thank you
Working fine with poco rom stock mui 10.3.6
Hi guys!
Before few times i asked this question, but no one answered. Looks like I found a way through. Usually, this option is available for iOS users only.
1. Your photo needs to be blurred - Live Focus, Portrait Mode (gcam) etc, you got the point.
2. Upload the photo to https://www.depthy.me
3. You will see some kind of error. Click load and upload the same picture to create depthmap.
4. You will see the preview of the 3D image now in the next step you need to look at the bottom and click on the image icon.
5. Here you will see the Depth Image Map. Save it.
6. Rename both files to 1.jpg and 1_depth.jpg
7..Upload both files to the desktop version of Facebook.
8. After few seconds you will see new window which says Creating 3D Photo.
10.Done!

You can set the privacy to only me if you just wanna see the result.
Here you can check the original way. I'm doing in like this because I don't use google camera as the main app.

Hi, I just got my Mi 10 Ultra. Camera is fantastic and it's fast. I usually use Nova Launcher but Xiaomi prohibited to change that.
However, at first I thougt the camera had horrible white balance but when viewing pictures on other devices I find out that that is not the case. However, it really don't show red colors - they look almost brown. I have not found any way to adjust it with sw and suspect that it is a HW problem?
Any ideas?
Attached is the same photo viewed on another phone and on the Mi 10 Ultra (to the right).
Woah that looks... very wrong. I just took a picture of a Cola Cola can and it was fine in the viewfinder and in Gallery and I'm seeing red just fine.
You can adjust in software, worth a try, look in Settings for Color Scheme. But it defaults to Auto and that is pretty accurate in my use so far... you can go into the Advanced mode to set individual colours. If that doesn't work, it could be hardware...
(btw, change your launcher from within Nova Launcher itself!)
