i bought moto g pay and go from o2 network in the uk. i watched some video on youtube and saw that moto g with 4.4 kitkat have a quick camera access button on the right bottom in the lock screen. Funny thing is that mine doesn't show that button althought it already update to 4.4 kitkat ( about phone section shows that). any ideals, please ? :silly:
Hey guys,
I have updated my Moto G XT1033 Dual SIM to Android 5.0. After the update I noticed a few issues-
Screen dims at timeout but flashes bright just before locking
NBA 2K14 game keeps crashing. Unable to play for more than 5 minutes.
UI hangs about 2 times per day and needs to be restarted.
Are these problems common with all 5.0 users or is this problem particular to my device?
Thank you.
after lollipop update is moto g 1st gen supposed to get white menu screen by default...i have seen many videos where the menu screen is white....but mine after lollipop update is still black one....is there any way to get it by default...or is it supposed to stay black even after lollipop update

If you ask for the app drawer yes it is black cause it still the old launcher2 that was introduced with ICS but you can download launcher3 or Google now launcher from play store.
I have a Zenfone 2 and its G sensor stopped working. Apps like Sensor Box show that my phone does not have a G sensor.Whenever I clear cache it starts working for a short period only(around 5-10 minutes) after which sensor box shows that I do have a G sensor but still the test does not work. Recently I installed Cyanogenmod 13 and the problem still persists. Any idea what I can do ?the problem seems software based to me.
Custom ROMs like CyanogenMod does not have Moto Display. Ambient Display is not bad, but Moto Display uses the sensors more efficiently. Also many people prefer Moto Display over Ambient Display. So it is a request to port the Official Moto Display app as a flashable zip, just like Moto Camera and Moto Gallery has been ported.
Pretty sure it has been tried and failed... it ties into the stock ROM's kernel and framework in ways the other apps do not in order to function, and they are not supported in 3rd party ROMs.

The application in question has already been tried by me for those days in cm13, I tried a port that was unsuccessful because I needed to include your work in a kernel .... as I am without server I can not create kernels or roms, I'm really just helping in developments,
TIP:
Cm14.1 has its ambient display improved compared to cm13, I realized it!
Try to use and verify, after all, it may be that later the same will come to cm13.

I'll check if I still have something in my github account, so I'll see step information right here for you.
I'am interested and would like to know , how ambient display works? Is it similar to the moto display? (it prevents to waking up the device?), because we can read:
"Moto Display has been engineered to show critical information even when you phone is asleep. Even though the display fades in and out to ensure you are notified of the important stuff, we use very little power (just a few percent of the total battery capacity)"
Thanks

Display environment is the same as Moto Display, believe me, I use it here in cm14.1 and I did not see any big differences other than the bubble you slip, but everything notifies very well and works the same way.
