Just got it this morning. Installing it now.

Just noticed the 12.0 update is available for my AT&T unlocked version when I checked Software Updates. Will wait till the weekend since my launcher is Nova and not sure if it is compatible with it yet.

Should be fine. I'm on t-mobile using nova launcher and everything went well. Really digging Android 12 and what Sammy has done with it..

Mine updated from N to P when I put my VZ SIM in and booted it up. I set some things up over WiFi first. Who's you service with and have you checked for updates?

Did you notice any VZ apps in the app drawer? I'm not sure of all the nuances of discerning a Google Pixel from a VZ Pixel, maybe someone else is familiar with the specifics. I wonder if the N build is being rolled out and just hasn't been pushed to your device yet. Yesterday there was a developer who tweeted that there was an OTA, but it was the N build that I've had since this past Sunday. Sometimes it just takes a little more time.
no vzw apps
My phone is on build number NDE63L. I am on Sprint. I have unlocked and rooted the phone. Is there a material difference between these build numbers?

I flashed the P build on Sunday and have had no problems so far. I use my Pixel on T-Mobile as well. Might note I used the factory image, not the OTA.

Kinda tricky to say what the previous owner did. As long as you know what you're doing, I'd say that you're okay to flash P. Just make a backup.
I purchased a Verizon XL from best buy, removed the VZW sim before booting up and put my TMO sim in. I'm on NDE63N as well, and have no VZW apps in my drawer.

Verizon apps are always there, just disabled until you put your Verizon sim in. I'm on L build with phone saying it is up to date. I'm on AT&T

he is correct, just look in titanium backup and see all the vzw apps and apn stuff ready for when a verizon sim is put in
What if I buy a Verizon one and put in a different carrier sim? Will it get the OTA updates since it is the Verizon branded device? I will never put it on the VZW network if I can help it.

Tmobile and Sprint get updates first.

So is it normal for Tmobile and Sprint go get updates first?
Looks like they have an update rolling out starting last night.
Anyone get one on AT&T yet. Might jump per to Tmobile firmware if They get all the updates first.
Also what security patch is the U1 firmware on? I know Samsung made some promises after the unlocked S7 that they would be better at pushing out updates directly to that phone. If they get better with those updates I'd switch to that firmware I think as well.
Yes, T-Mobile & Sprint are faster generally.
As for Samsung's promise to step up support for the U phones, I guess it's too early to tell. With that said, however, Samsung recently pushed out the May update for the 935U which was a pleasant surprise. So far after Samsung's promise, the 935U has gotten the updates 2 months in a row instead of once every 3 months.

Sorry got an AT&T they do not Allow Beta Testers. So who knows when they will get Oreo to run with all their Bloatware Next Year to release Oreo!!! Think just T-Mobile and Verizon allowed to be Beta Testers.
You can flash unlocked firmware and run beta. They just dropped a beta update now and say within the next month will be opening up the program again so keep an eye on the Samsung+ app

Does it matter which carrier sim is being used with the unlocked firmware in the US? I have had the unlocked firmware installed for a while with an at&t sim and haven't seen anything about the beta in the Samsung+ app.

OTA upgrade to 9.5.7 - T Mobile?

I don't have any version of the device yet, but I'm close to pulling the trigger.
But before I do, I just wanted to check.... Will the T Mobile version of the device receive the OTA updates, like this latest v9.5.7, along with non-carrier locked devices, or will there be a delay while TM puts together their own update?
usually all carrier locked devices take longer since the carrier wants their stuff in there
TMobile is always behind.

Well I'm only in 9.5.6 and that update just moved me from being 2 months behind on security updates to one month behind. Still waiting for camera update and I had to use a calibration trick just so I could fix the DTTW feature on this device. Honestly, as much as I like this phone, if you can avoid getting it through TMobile, I would recommend you do so. They will always be behind in the latest updates. That is the main reason why all my previous devices were unlocked Pixel/Nexus devices (minus a few outlier devices). I wanted to try something new and within 3 what realized why I moved away from carrier branded devices.
can someone explain the versioning to me? I bought my op7pro from OnePlus but I'm only on OS 9.5.4 with no updates available. How are other people getting 9.5.7 already?

Not sure; could be where you are on the map. OnePlus usually has incremental updates. There's always Oxygen Updater from the Google Play store. That will allow you to download 9.5.7 and install it locally as opposed to OTA.

@klym.software Since you purchased your device through OnePlus directly, you have the unlocked version which is on the 9.5.4 latest update. You have the camera fix and the DDTW fix. Those of us who purchased the device through Tmobile came with the 9.5.5 version, and were updated to 9.5.6. All that update did was move us from the April 2019 security update to May 2019. We are still not in June and probably won't be for awhile. We also still do not have the camera update fixes even though the unlocked OnePlus devices received the update 2 weeks ago. I hope this better explains the difference in version numbers.

You might want to check again. The T-Mobile 9.5.6 update was basically the April security patches not May, 9.5.7 for the unlocked version doesn't even have the May security patches yet.
About phone, click on Android version and you will see it's only April.

T-Mobile gets OTA 2 months after the security patch in international which usually gets them only one month delayed. I'm running 9.5.7 international and have April 1 security patch level. Since it's not a pixel, you have to wait for them to add oxygen stuff and test before releasing an OTA.

What's DTTW?
This reply to everyone else as well..
Oneplus 7 Pro is able to become unbranded and unlocked "quite easily", so if you need the financing plan stuff you get via T-Mobile, or anyone for that matter, it won't hurt too much. There's a thread around here to get permantely sim-unlocked with not too much wait and it worked for me. (Usually you have to wait 40 days and fully pay off phone for sim unlock). Then, there's the conversion to international OOS, which is a MUST. If the guide is too complicated, perhaps I could explain. After the conversion, you can simply unlock bootloader with "adb fastboot oem unlock" .

Note 20 Updates (Unlocked) Question

I bought a note 20 Ultra unlocked. How ever have not received any OTA. I am still running the original July 1st update.
My question is more has anyone else not received an update? Anyone else having issues with Netflix because of this also? (Play store says that the device is no longer compatible.)
Phone SM-N986U1
Current version: N986U1UEU1ATGG / N986U1OYM1ATGG / N986U1UEU1ATGG
Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
(I'd rather not side load updates).

Finally got a hold of someone with a head above their shoulders not just below. And they had me try a few weird reset things. in the hidden phone menus. (Not just cache clear during phone boots.)
ended up saying go to a Samsung experience location like at a best buy and they can either replace it or try and force update the device.
I didn't want to side load updates so i receive them from OTA, My experience with side loading is that feature doesn't always work for future updates and you either have to backdate and then OTA or hope the devs keep pushing / posting the updated files.
Thank you guys for your responses.
