"Quick settings developer tiles" option not available in developer options - Huawei P30 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I am stuck on this issue and I can't seem to find any useful information on it.
On Android 10 phones the option Quick settings developer tiles should be available as shown in this tutorial. As the tutorial suggests I want to be able to use Sensors off toggle on my phone, but that option is not available anywhere.
My best guess is that its just manufacturer's decision to disable it. If so, how to re-enable it?
Rooting to fix this would, preferably, be my last option.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

[Q] EMUI messes up Tasker ????

Tasker related question, I'm on 8.0 with updated emui. I don't know if the described behaviour affects previous versions - I got the phone with this version already.
Tasker does not wait for AutoApps commands. AutoTools dialog is issued, tasker should wait for user input before jumping to the next task. It works as intended for Google Pixel. I have spoken to Joao about it - no luck and suggested I reach out to Pent (which I did). Things take time and the time is something I don't have.
EMUI: 8.0.0
Android:8.0.0
Video example of the issue (tasker should display YES (when button is pressed) then NOT WORKING):

Is anyone running stock Android? (and could test this for me?) I'm more than happy to try a custom rom providing the solution would work. Something tells me the Tasker issue is related to EMUI. I'd love some pointers in regards to a good stock Android options (I'm happy with Android7.0 do not 'need' the latest one. )
I appreciate the pointers!

need custom rom

I need a custom rom to give user more privacy to disable some functions and hide some menu settings under functions.
See screenshots of the settingsmenu what i want to show to our users and what i want to disable as extra:

those screen shall be visible.
then
for eg under security user can set password/activity lock, sleepmode ec..
disabled functions:
GPS
GSM/SMS
Tethering
factory Reset
Bluetooth
Only admin or special user can enter the all the default android settings.
This shall be build, or is there a rom what does this above. Who can advice me a developer what can do this
We don't build ROMs for individual users, we build Validus and GZOSP for devices we own. I suggest you ask in the official forum for your device, whatever it is. Cheers

Benefits/customisation options of unlocking bootloader/rooting?

Hello,
Looking around on google you just find the standard lists that everyone with a little bit of knowledge knows about.
I'd like a bit more info before deciding on what phone to get. And hope you guys can help me out.
Android 9 and 10 seem to be the custom versions now. I have no experience with 10, but many parts of android 9 I absolutely despise. (including the variety of popups like "send this screenshot to another person right now!" and the rotate button in the navigation bar.) Compared to android 8, I feel it's a lot more bloated and with less control than I had in 8.
Being on a huawei device probably doesn't help, but I don't know the extend of their involvement in this terrible version on my phone.
I aim to get a new phone as this one is a pain concerning bootloader unlocking and all.
Will I be able to alter behaviors like the popups and remove the rorate button in the navigation bar?
Do I just require an unlocked bootloader for it, or a full root? Or do I simply need a fully custom rom to be able to do this?
Basically, how strong are my customisation options when unlocking/rooting/custom romming?
Thanks for any answers!

Customer Version

Does anybody have a REAL understanding of what this setting ("customer version" found in factory settings) is and what options there are to it?

Customer version - This option is responsible for the operating modes of the radio, changing this setting can lead to irreparable consequences. The buttons on the front panel may stop working or the image may disappear. Never change the settings

Well, that's why I brought it up. I have seen other posts suggesting it has something to do with screen resolution (which I doubt), but clearly there is confusion on exactly what that switch does.
Did you want to spend some time on reverse engineering the MCU code.
There have been variations of the ROMs for these head units that include several different launchers. The customer version seems to be tied to whatever the default launcher is, if by chance your ROM includes more than one launcher. I have observed that changing the customer version changes the launcher after a restart, thus the user interface changes. This is not to say that changing the customer does not change any other parameters hidden or otherwise but it is something that may be visually obvious when you restart the unit.
Here in thread # 21669 on 4pda everything is clearly described:

Android based os projector.

I was really struggling on finding how to enable developer options on a viewSonic m2w projector.
The os is based on android but modified by ViewSonic to block functionalities.
I’ve asked ViewSonic how to enable usb debugging and they didn’t want to help. So here is my solutions :
For this model you can go to the information tab in settings. Then you’ll have to press up arrow then down arrow about 10 times an finally click on « ok ». This will open a hidden menu where you can enable uart, open the camera, enable logs etc…
This is nice but not what I was looking for.
The real solution is to make a simple android app in which you start the activity settings.ACTION_APPLICATION_DEVELOPEMENT_SETTINGS.
This will open the développer settings even if hidden. I’ve already made the app, if needed ask me and I’ll be glad to send you the APK (or source file for the paranoids)
