Hi, I want to ask. I want to reset my phone by using PBRP Recovery using Advanced Wipe option. If I wipe "Data" will my Android OS be lost? as well as "Internal Storage", will my Android OS be wiped too? Sorry, I'm still a beginner who wants to learn.
Translated using Google Translate
As with Android /data partition holds user apps and related data, partition "internal storage" ( read: /sdcard or /storage/emulated/<UI> ) holds user data.
So Android OS itself will not get wiped, IMO.

Even if I use a Custom ROM (Pixel Experience) it won't be erased? And also is it safe to select all of them (ART Cache, Substratum Overlays, Magisk Modules, FBE Cache, Cache, Data, Internal Storage)? I want to wipe everything to make sure everything is clean (without wiping Android OS)

Isn't there any manual for this recovery?

There is no Advanced Wipe manual for this recovery. There is only an installation manual

ROM is cleaned with titanium Backupo from multiple CyanogenMod apk's - iff you miss something, youll have to find it yourselves!
I used CWM Recovery: v 4.0.1.4 but it should work with any...

Advanced menu:

5. go to backup and restore, select restore and choose folder 2012-02-21.17.03.40 - confirm with Yes

sorry for my english, the backup works great.
I installed CWM 4.0.1.4 on my stock U8650 and installed your rom. Works great but now I cannot restore my stock rom (original non-root). CWM generates an error when restoring the data.img. Any ideas how to fix this?
parts of mine arent in English!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: disregard, you have to change the language to English in settings, my bad
Is there a chance to get another download location?
Everything works great, but i cant login to twitter widget. Is there any fix for that?

Hello,
I flashed the latest MIUI fastboot dev rom (V6 Lollipop 5.0.2) (aries_images_5.4.24_5.0_cn_05157b373b) on my Xiaomi Mi2s on Friday. However, as I found out later, this ROM is somewhat special, because it merges internal storage and partition for the installed apps together. I didn't know it then and wanted to return back to the previous rom, so with the use of MiFlash, I tried to flash one of the earlier V6 L5 fastboot roms, but this error occured:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Meantime, my Mi2s fell to the floor from approximately 40 cm, but nothing happened, no obvious hardware damage or functional issues so far.
The issues that started after flashing the fastboot rom are following:
- it is not possible to flash any of the previous MIUI fastboot roms via MiFlash and with the use of "flash all" script, except for the latest rom (aries_images_5.4.24_5.0_cn_05157b373b), othwerwise the same error 0x80004005 occurs
- I can flash any of the previous fastboot roms with the use of "flash except storage" or "flash except data storage", but if I do so, there is no free space in the internal storage as demonstrated below (the partition remains merged), thus I cannot update the system with multilanguage MIUI
- the only rom I am able to use and successfully flash is that latest fastboot one (aries_images_5.4.24_5.0_cn_05157b373b), that allows me to copy the multilanguage MIUI rom to my internal storage and flash it via updater up
- however, I cannot flash this particular rom from the MiRecovery as an update.zip file ("Failed" error)
- "Wipe SD Card" in MiRecovery is not functioning as well ("Failed" error)
- the info about the capacity of internal storage indexed in my MIUI system are off too (image below)
It is clear something went wrong. There is something with the storage partition and I don't know how to solve it. Is there any way or anything I could try to return the system to its previous functioning state, please?
Thank you in advance for your answer and guidance.
Bricked?! SGS6 920F can't mount "/data" or internal Storage after flashing Bootloader
I was running XtrestoLite DeoMod Edition 2.4 on 5.1.1 on my German Galaxy S6 64GB when i decided i want to upgrade to 6.0.1.
So i downloaded all needed files here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-3-t3119968
After i had flashed the 6.0.1 Bootloader, Modem and TWRP 3.0.0.0 (which i also found in the thread above), i was stuck in TWRP, as i couldnt perform a Wipe anymore. For some reason it won't mount my internal Storage and some other partitions anymore, for instance "/data". So basically i can't flash any 6.0.1 Rom but i also can't do a FULL WIPE.
I have already downloaded the 6.0.1 Stock ROM from SamMobile and i am ready to flash it via Odin, but i'm worried it will Wipe all my data! As already mentioned, TWRP wouldn't show me my internal Storage and mark it as "(0MB)", so it seems like it's already deleted, which is the worst thing that could have happened to me, as i lost crucial data.
My Question is: Why will TWRP NOT show me my Internal Storage and say it can't mount "/data" and all the other folders. Is it Softbricked? Why would Flashing a Bootloader and Modem literally destroy my internal SD Memory?
I want to Flash the Stock ROM, hoping it will fix the Problem but i want to see if you guys can help me Get my Data from Internal Memory first! Please help me!
Thanks alot

flashing a rom in odin should not erase your internal storage as long you dont select wipe in odin. in your case you must flash the latest stock rom in odin. if your storage seems deleted after flashing stock rom. it happened earlier while messing around with twrp. also you should try twrp 3.0.2. viel glück
I have tried a lot of things which mentioned in different forums such as:
delete using root ES File Explorer.
delete apk files from /system/app.
clear Dalvik cache after uninstall (manually removing /data/dalvik-cache and /cache/dalvik-cache and using CWM recovery.
all mentioned earlier together several times.
Even install new ROM wiping data/factory reset and clearing Dalvik cache using recovery.
But no result. And I get something like this on startup if I clear Dalvik cache:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So there is a location from where OS gets these apps, isn't it? How can I get rid of these redundant apps?
Update:
Here link where I downloaded ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249760
@igorek2312 that's building "Dalvik-cache" as you are using Odex ROM ( or Stock) that's necessary for Odex ROM.
You can not stop it than installing DeOdexed ROM.
Here is difference between Odex and De-Odex ROM and how it works : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336411
Thanks for reply, @____Mdd. Here my ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249760. And it is DeOdexed.

Use an app such as "System app remover" or use ES File Explorer's root explorer to use the "uninstall system app " feature, after removing the apps reboot to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik/ART cache.
I DO NOT PROVIDE HELP IN PM, KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
I fixed it by enabling S-OFF on my device. Here more details

Because there are too many people ask about "how to decrypt data" and "how to re-encrypt data",
I write a guide to tell you how to decrypt/re-encrypt data partition.
[Why we need decrypt data partion?]
1. Install MultiRom/MultiBoot
2. Some Roms only work on decrypted device
3. For better performance
[Disadvantage]
1. Low security (Cracker can access your file, and remove lock screen pin from TWRP)
2. It need to wipe your data/internal storage to decrypt data partition.
Decrypt data partition with magisk:
1. Go to “Wipe” section, tap “Format Data”, and type “yes”
2. Transfer Rom, zenfone-3-opt-encrypt-o and no-verity-opt-encrypt to the device over MTP
3. Go to “Install” section, select ROM, and swipe to confirm the flash
4. Go to “Install” section, select magisk.zip, and swipe to confirm the flash
5. Go to “Install” section, select zenfone-3-opt-encrypt-o and no-verity-opt-encrypt and swipe to confirm the flash
6. Reboot
PS. you should format data before flashing zenfone-3-opt-encrypt-o and no-verity-opt-encrypt.
Re-Encrypt data partition:
1. Go to “Wipe” section, tap “Format Data”, and type “yes”
2. Transfer stock ZenUi or LOS based Rom to the device over MTP
3. Go to “Install” section, select the ZenUi or LOS based Rom, and swipe to confirm the flash
4. Reboot

Can you also make one for Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro ZD552KL.
Thank you
I have a few of the ZenFone 3 5.7" Deluxe variants. Model Z016D / ZS570KL. Will this method (and the associated files) will work for that model as well?

Follow the same steps, but use this zip instead
The storage automatically encrypt after factory reset or install firmware zip?
Or its permanently decrypted so we don't need to wipe internal storage after factory reset
