I have installed the [v8] Aidan's ROM version in my Minix U9-H, but the USB does not work. I was checking the AMLogicTools tool, but I don't have much knowledge and would like to know if I can do it.
If someone knows how, or can provide me with some kind of reference guide, I would greatly appreciate it.

USB ports don't work, anything I plug in doesn't detect it.

You sure you are using the right version of his ROM ?
I think he wrote a special ROM just for the Minix U9 or was it the U22.

No, none yet. We need a kernel that supports USB Host, there's none as of now.
I know, i found some guide to make that over the internet, but i don't know anything about kernel, please some body do that!
It is awesome! With usb host and linux we have every thing on ds,
we want something new! Plaese leave work on roms and make a kernel with usb host support for us! I can be a tester for that

because i have desire s and canon eos 550d. i need usb host for using dslr remote control utility on my desire s.
For example: I urgently need to copy a file from a flash drive and a laptop is not there. At the Institute, I constantly use this feature with windows mobile based pda.

The device has froyo 2.2, but it's a bad version, no imarket, no well managed language, etc....
I've been able to root with z4root, and I need some basic rom, clean 2.2 or 2.2.1, to replace the original one.
The Acer beTouch E210 has the same processor and similar basic characteristics.
I appreciate any ideas, experiences, ....

I need, some rom 'Acer beTouch E210' backup, to try to install it on the Abo (=Cosmo), through recovery.
If a colleague has the file, please contact me so I can do the experiment.
All ideas are welcome, the chinese device isn't important, the really important is the challenge, : for 40$ get a mobile fully operative, upgradable and 100% compatible.

Recovery is : VolUP + Call + Reject(power) then wait until you see the droid. Then press call again.
Problem is how do you upgrade the firmware.

let me check it in about 8 hours when I'm on home, I see that if works that link will create some files, then I doesn't know how you will put that on phone, because I not find any driver that works on the a810, I not sure if flashtool or some tool can connect to this a810 with some driver, but at least I will dump rom and put on some file sharing site if can regards
sorry the delay, stupid keyboard doesn't have a "=" key, I have to do it with a bluetooth keyboard to write on terminal :/

I've a Canadian Samsung Galaxy Q(SGH-T589W) and due to some problem, I updated the ROM and my bad luck that it was a the US version(T-Mobile) of the ROM and now there are multiple problems such as:
-No File manager
-No wifi
-Phone keeps blinking
-Many apps don't work
In all, if anyone can give me a link to the stock Canadian ROM (SGH-T589W), I'll always be thankful to you
Searching google did not help, but of course might have not looked at the right places. Please, please help me

your sure its not a SGH-T589R? theres the stock rom for the T589R here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ but cant find a T589W

Thank you Trozzul for getting back!
Unfortunately it is T589W, it was running Gingerbread and after updating it is currently running Froyo
I have the source of SGH-T589W from "opensource.samsung.com" and I don't know what do to with it
If everything fails, could you point me to some appropriate thread where I could stash out relevant files from the source?

So after finding the stock ROM, Odin gets stuck after SetupConnection
I've tried changing USB ports, using a hub,using a different computer, using different versions of Odin, running Odin as Administrator, plugging out the cable and yes the phone is in downloading mode
Any help greatly appreciated!

Anyone? Please help! Is there any way I can reinstall the Wifi drivers on Froyo. I have tried *#*#526#*#* but the driver loading fails and when i try to select a new channel, it just crashes!

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I think I'm experiencing the exact same problem that you had. Do you remember where you found the stock ROM? Or, even better, do you still have it stored somewhere?

Well, without seeing the actual ROM download, I'm guessing it wasn't built specifically for your device. Which means, you're most likely bricked. Sorry. If there are no signs of life, from your device at all, it is probably unrecoverable. When you plug into a PC, is it detected?
