Getting a Go app apk to use on my Quest 2 - Oculus Quest

There's a great app for reading books etc called immersionVR reader that isn't ported to the Quest 2 yet, but thanks to the demo apk available on their web site, I can confirm it works perfectly for my uses. The website: https://immersionvr-reader.com/
I purchased the Go version. Now I have not idea how to install it, if it's possible.
I need the apk somehow. I think maybe the easiest way is to run a Go image in an emulator and install the app (thereby letting me extract the apk for installation on my Quest 2).
What do you guys think? Is there an obviously easier way?

Anyone tried to install the Economist on a honeycomb device?

The Economist finally came out with an android app but its phones only, it wont let me install it on the transformer. So I figured i would just nab the APK and see if it would install (half of this stuff seems to work, just not officially) but after digging through apps on my phone I cant seem to find it. Where does it install itself?
It should be in data/app. The file name is uk.co.economist-1.apk
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Or you can use the [free] Astro file viewer to create a backup of the apk, and look for it in the "backups" folder Astro creates in your SD card.
just a follow up found it where pnnorth said and installed it on the TF. It runs just as reliably on the TF as it does on the phone, the widget even works. its obviously not tablet optimized but, hey, you can read on the TF.
The fonts scale well, you can control the font size too. Its not pixelated or anything, the interface is just rudimentary and a little off because of the size and layout.
could you please share the apk?
thanks
I installed it on my Xoom, and whilst it runs OK, it doesn't download any subsequent issues. You need to reinstall the app to get the latest edition.
Hopefully they will update soon
Here's the latest APK.
I just installed this on my Flyer and it seems to work fine. When I first booted the app it gave me an error saying it was frozen and asked if I should wait or force quit. I chose wait and it worked fine after that. Go figure.
Just downloaded app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7
Worked great! Wonder why they don't make the app available in the play store for 3.0.

[Q] Not all android apps compatible with kindle, even if rooted...

Hi, I just rooted my kindle fire to be able to access the android market, and in the market app it does not even bring up blood and glory when searched? But if I go to the market via the web I can see it but it then says it is not compatible with my rooted kindle?? So I cannot download It.???? So are there just some apps that will not work??? Or is there a way around this?
Thanks!

Apps a deigned to work only with the right hardware. You could try to fake it so the market thinks its a different device but it still may not work
Because its the Kindle Fire the Amazon App Store is default. And so when company's like Gameloft release a game they'll assume that your Kindle Fire doesn't have access to the Android Market and most of the time they'll only release the app for the Android Market meaning that the Market app will filter the app out. One of the ways to get around this is to go onto your computer and download the apk file and then transfer it to your Kindle. Once you've installed it on your Kindle it should run. You can download an apk file via your Kindles browser as long as it is an apk file. I'm not to sure about paid app's however.
Thank for the info!
So how do I go about downloading the APK file (blood and glory) to a computer, as the market again will not let you download it (need android device)??? and once I have the file do I just drop it in to the main kindle drive (no special folder or any thing).. because when trying to find all my other APK app files that are installed on my kindle I can't find where they are store at on my kindle??
I am pretty new to all this still...
Thanks again, you guys are great!

[HOW TO] Download Scramble With Friends for ANDROID!

To Download:
1) Go to the market and download market unlocker..... free or paid, up to you
2) Switch your market to Canada
3) Go to market and search for Scramble
4) Download and play!
5) Enjoy..... hope this helps a lot!
Root?
Wont work bc it says "handset is not rooted." Is there any easy way to root?
it's depending the phone platform. find rooting instruction in xda for your phone.
Why is this game not on the marketplace? All I see on search results for apk dowloads and that isn't something I like to do outside of trusted sources. The whole thing seems unnecessarily mysterious.
Worked
Thanks for discovering this.
Works Great
Thank you!
Works like butta! THX.
Wow this is awesome, thanks!

Ematic FunTab Pro Google Play

Just wanted to put this out there somewhere maybe it will help someone.
I recently purchased an Ematic FunTab Pro from Walmart.com and was able to install Google Play store by simply loading an older market.apk file.
All of the other Google Framework was already on this tablet.
Unfortunately the tablet I received had a damaged screen so I had to return it but wanted to let everyone know that it should be very possible to add Google Play to this tablet.
how do you load google play?

I just searched it on Google. Just type something like "Google play store apk". I've got it installed on my little brother's fun tab pro but I can't figure out how to get it to work. It keeps force closing whenever I open it or when I try to install an app with it. I heard the Google framework doesn't come with the tablet, how did that other guy have the framework already there? Any help would be appreciated but I'm going to try a few more things to see if I can get it to work too. Thanks.
Same problem here, I bought two of them for my boys. Tryin to figure it out. I'm able to side load app from random websits. I'm not a big fan of that though.
I'm just using the slideme market for now. Its better than the broken app stores preinstalled
These things are horrible, nothing works, apps crash. I consider myself an advanced android user and this is pathetic. Im getting a headache. Were returning them back to Walmart later.
My solution:
Download APK extractor and Wifi file transfer (wifi transfer app optional) with registered android device.
Download desired apps to registered Android device.
Use APK extractor to extract app (no root needed)
Either use wifi transfer (wireless and more convenient) or use PC to transfer APK files to FunTab. (Files can be found in the "APKextractor" folder from registered android device and move them to to the desired folder in the FunTab ) detach from computer.
Install APK on fun tab using stock file browser
Thank me and enjoy.
Amazon App Store
Try installing the amazon app store.
Ematic Funtab 7" tablet
My sister bought this tablet for my 2 year old son for christmas he loves it but it would be nice if I can install Netflix on his tab so he can watch SuperWhy and YoGABA GABA and all that kiddie stuff he likes.
I'm trying to install the Google Play APK and Netflix APK the apps try to launch but they don't open, and they crash.
I read somewhere that I would have to send the tab to Ematic and they have to remove a "lock" so I can install all this stuff. From my understanding Zoodles causes this "lock" and it tricks the tab into thinking the outsourced apps are outdated and cannot launch.
I imagine that this so-called "lock" is just having to root this device.
Has anyone tried rooting it? He just received it, yesterday, I would hate to send it to Ematic just so they can root it.
Help?
Google Play Store
I have a Yuntab S4 running 4.2.1 Android which has BIG problem downloading Google Play & any other aps from this store...Do you have a URL for the mentioned "older market.apk" file? Thanks!

[Completed] Need help to download a Xperia only app from Play store

Hello everyone,
I'm really hoping if someone could help me here as I've been working on this all night since 7pm and its now almost 7am
I need access to a "Sony Only" app from the Google Play store which I believe is only for Sony tablets. I no longer own a Android device and so I went down the route of installing Bluestacks (Virtual Android) on my Mac and I tried rooting it to change the build.prop file and things started to fall apart. All I need is the APK, if someone could help me I'd be forever grateful.
The app is called "Sony 4K Ultra HD Remote". For some reason it doesn't appear in the Play store for me but a Google search brings it up instantly. I would post the link to the Google Play store for the app but I haven't had more than 10 posts on my profile in order to post links.
If someone could perhaps get the APK for me then I'd go out this afternoon and purchase a basic Android tablet to use it on. I just don't want to fork out money on something that might not work. Thank you
Off to catch some ZzzZzz
Hi
It's not Play store, but you can find your apk here => AppBrain - 4K Ultra HD Remote

I've used that link before but when you press download, it redirects you to the Google Play store.
I can't find the apk but there's no chance it would work with anything other than a Sony device anyway. If you still want to try, here's a way to get the all safely:
Install this chrome extension on a chrome on your desktop (i.e. not phone/tablet): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809458 and set it up
Go to the app page on the Play store site and follow the required steps to use the extension to download the apk and if all goes well you should be able to put it on your device SD card and side load it.
Once again, even if you do get the apk it probably won't work. Good luck anyway
Even if you use the AppBrain apk for download ?
Try to Sony Website
Or search via Google.
Nothing more about your apk in xda.
Good luck
