My text group kept showing up with wrong date and time? How to fix it? I use samsung sms apk
Nobody has this problem?
I've had this problem when I first bought the phone. Only way I solved it was when I did a clean reset.
Did you do back up and restore or fresh install for all apps?
@randy_c were you able to solve this problem?

Hello, I'm getting a message "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" when I miss a phone call and the same when I swipe the missed called notification.
But it's fine if I answer calls and make calls, it only happens when I get a missed call...
Any ideas what's wrong?

Dont know what is wrong but there is three solution to solve this
#1:- By clearing the data
Surfing internet we could find that many people recommend to do a data clear to resolve this issue. In your android smartphone, it is very easy to clear data. For clearing data,
Go to Settings
Application Manager
Choose All Application
Below Contacts Storage choose “Clear all data”.
Now Restart your device
The above steps have slight changes from mobile to mobile. Try to find out the similar steps in your mobile yourself.
#2:- Resetting your device
You can also try a factory reset of your mobile phone to resolve this. Do factory reset only if the first method didn’t worked for you. For performing a factory reset,
Go to Settings
Backup & reset
factory Reset
Doing a factory reset will delete all of your data and applications. So be careful to do a backup if you are proceeding with this step.
#3: Changing the OS
This is recommended to those are facing Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped message after updating their device or changing the static os to a custom version.

Thanks...went through all those options already + more , nothing could fix it, even the few recovery backups that I had...so a reset was the only solution...
So I decided to start from scratch and go down the long way, flashed .93 rom then root and working my way back up from there manually as I can't restore any backups otherwise the error reappears...
This kinda sucks but that's the only way right now...unless somebody got a better insight of the situation, I still would like to know how to fix it without a reset
At least I got a clean backup now without the error
[SOLVED]
EDIT:
OK found the cause of the problem, at least in this case...I did freeze Xperia Home with Titanium Backup at some point since I used a different launcher ( something I didn't do at the beginning when I switched launcher)...this was the root of my problem getting com.android.phone has stopped when getting a missed call, so a simple defrosting of the app worked

Thank you, it's working.. Having my rom heavily modified, and the cause just simple as defrosting..
I have a Alcatel one touch evovle 2. This is the first time I have tried to root a phone. I used the Kingo Root app. As i was removing unwanted stuff, I beleive that I removed something for the text messenger. When I click on the app it tells me that Messaging has stopped. No I didnt bother to backup my phone before i started. So I did a factory reset and the problem is still there. Can anyone guide me on how to resolve this problem?
Hey Folks
So I've bought a Pixel phone. Rooted it via BL unlock and SuperSU from chainfire. Root is working.
Unfortunaltey the SMS isn't working properly. If I send a SMS, then I can't receive SMS any more.. until I restart the phone. please note: I can send SMS and they are delivered to other phones! but I don't receive SMS after the first one which I send.
I've also a exclamation mark on the cellular Signal sign and also on the WiFi Signal sign.
I've tried a different SIM Card, I've changed my tel. number to the new SIM Card..
also tried Hangouts as the Default app for sms. also tried to reset APN's. tried also star#star#4636#star#star and switched off data and Switch on again.
I have a Firewall installed named Droidwall. but anyway if I Switch it off it doesn't work..
Any ideas what I can do here?
I know I can make a full reset to defaults and it will sure work again, but I think there must be a solution.
thanks in advance!
gpixel
P.S.: Carrier: Swisscom (Switzerland)
I can receive only one sms. Then i do reboot and get new sms..
Nobody had this issue before?
I've update to the new SuperSU 2.78 R5 but it didn't help either.
Can anybody help?
Sounds like a bad sim card
Try flashing the factory image removing the -w from flash-all script so you don't overwrite /userdata and then you can easily re root. If it is still messed up, that is your userdata corruption, or SIM/hardware defect.

There is a bug I filed related to the SMS/MMS function of the phone. I've not seen it manifest itself in that way, but if you have the SMS app open, in the foreground, and get a call you can't answer the call til' you screen off/on again. May be related.
I have had this issue when AP settings were not proper.

They are correct and I never touched them.
If I do an unroot with the button within the SuperSU app, will I lost something or is it only unroot without wipe?
